In Washington the House of Representatives votes on a number of foreign aid bills including financial support for Israel and Ukraine in their war with Russia.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
The bills have been stalled for months in a standoff led mostly by some Republicans who oppose continuing financial and military aid for Ukraine.

      @LawrenceReitan@LawrenceReitanАй бұрын
    • @LawrenceReitan Blaming Hamas for everything is a tired talking point. We all know this all started with the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homes to make room for Zionists. So come up with something better or just shutup. Any reasonable person knows that Israel is an apartheid state currently committing genocide against the Palestinian people. Most young Americans do not support Israel's actions. I believe that because of the young people, Palestine will eventually be free. Bye Felicia 👋.

He saying what should be obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of the war: Ukraine started the war with 700k troops. Now it desperately needs 500k recruits to avoid losing. Clearly Ukraine has taken very heavy casualties and a negotiated settlement is now the most humane way forward. It’s also clear that the Russians have faced challenges. The BBC has said they’ve lost at least 50k KIA. So clearly they’re not in a rush to go with NATO after Ukraine (a war that everyone knows would go nuclear anyways). We’re on track for going from 28,000 per month to 70-80,000 by the end of this year with the goal of over 120,000 per month being a later target and the pentagon said we’re actually ahead of the scheduled timeline. And if you don’t make enough per month to do this now then that means we can’t fight a war with Russia or China because they would simply out-produce us so if you’re not going to increase the production now then just surrender America right now because that’s what this guy is saying. In today's world, it's not about how much land you have but how you manage your resources and develop a life of value for your citizens! And Putin is staying on a course of solid value for families where as the UK and US are falling behind so how about us taking care and valuing our people and letting Putin continue doing a better job than either of us!!

    • The United States has the strongest military force. Our "government" can't shut down our entire force, there would be a civil war which is unlikely that rebels would jeopardize their evil scheme to put hippies up against Patriots. They are trying to move silently and undetected but that takes years and there are still people willing to fight against it. A government is made up of people. Not all of us are corrupt. Even if immigrants are coming in, most of them are stupid and don't know how to fight. They just have things handed to them like little sissy babies. The reason they're coming over is to either escape from conflict, get healthy, get an education, or some will become tyrants but not all. It's unlikely that the tyrants will outnumber the good ones.

    • It’s a lack of willingness to focus on it, if those countries would focus as much of their industry on armaments production as russia dose they would out produce russia by a very large margin.

Resistance will grow against Putin too inside Russia. If Putin now comes for a deal in the next years you can just as NATO.. Get all out of Ukraine or we will intervene. He would be extremely weak and has to nuke or has to leave. He will never use nukes i think. Certainly not when Russian start to revolt.

    • Imagine not reading a bill in your own country. Actual money being sent to Ukraine is roughly 20% of the bill and that is being handled by the EU so there can't be any corruption interfering with where the money goes (which is the typical MAGA argument to giving them money), the rest is sending all of your old equipment that would cost billions to decommission and manufacturing the same quantity of missiles, giving the US a huge economic boost in jobs and manufacturing and in turn saving the billions to decommission the bombs in the US instead just sending them to Ukraine to be used. If you can tell me how old going out of date bombs are going to give your Veterans and homeless aid then I'm sure everyone will be all ears.
