Russia is intensifing its attacks on energy infrastructure across Ukraine. Since late March, missile strikes have left some of the country’s major power plants in ruins - and Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko asks all Ukrainians to be prepared for even more power outages in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, electricians and engineers risk their lives to repair some of the worst technical destruction.

    • @@piuswanyaga8361 You should watch more DW, if you want to judge what it did. For your information, my nanny that took care of me and my brother when we were young is ukrainian, from a russian speaking family in Donbas. If she tells me the same that DW tells me, a random internet stranger won't convince me they are all lying. Since the beginning, when Ukraine was mauling russia's army and recapturing town after town, DW's invited experts have always emphasized that the ukrainian war effort could only be sustained by delivieries. The developments after US-aid was cut off in *November* last year seems to validate that as well.

Taking out refineries weakens Russia and will have no specific influence humanitarian wise regarding the Russian selection of attacked objects. So it was a late but excellent decision because its slightly de funding the ongoing special military operation.

Nor did European countries occupy and subordinate the Baltics, Poland or the Scandinavian countries for decades or extract land from them (Finland, Ukraine, Poland). Why would so many post-Soviet Republics rush to join NATO? How do Belarus, Turkistan, Kazahkstan, Armenia and Azerbajhan feel about their former Russian brothers or in some cases, current Dictators? What does the average Russian know of their current human loss in Ukraine? How many peoples or nations are lining up to be subservient to Russian masters?
