Important correction: At 12:08, I say that Zyelnox's end enter is 40 seconds faster than both the end enter in the former world record and the world record for the fastest end enter. While Zylenox's end enter is 40 seconds faster than Doog's end enter in his former world record, it's only 13 seconds faster than the former world record for entering the end, which was a 6:27 by Crookst.

Cutting 30 seconds off a significant record like Doogile's is insane. I think the ender eye measurements was perfectly done for 2 eyes and a tiny tiny distance between throws. That split tends to be a lot longer even in a lot of sub10 runs

Why is that? Maybe the theoratical limit is anything above 5 minutes, but not 5 minutes. Then a runner will get 5 min and 0.1 sec, the next wr 5 min and 0.01 sec… and so on. So no permanent wr.

I think sub 7 will be the final frontier. We are years distant from this event, but when it happens, it will be something like 1st place 6:56, 2nd 6:58 and 3rd 7:02. Only a few seconds of difference.

It's always amazing to think about how a game that has so many speedrunners in it and so many runs can still have new records. Like watching the run, it was amazing, but you could just think "if it wasn't a soulsand valley more time could have been shaved off etc". But it will be awhile before a more perfect seed lands into the lap of an amazing speedrunner
this speedrun got me playing minecraft again. I havent played in about 2 years or so, but after watching it, it was so awe inspiring that i wanted to load up a new world and play again. What a great game, what an amazing run, and props to Zylenox for the work he has put into this game and bringing this achievement to life.
I think a sub 7 is possible, if we get an instant dragon perch or like a diagonal perch or something, or if we get like a sub 6 end entry, although I can’t say for certainty that that will happen. I do believe it’s possible. Very hard, but possible! Congrats Zy!

Sub 7 is 100% possible, so is sub 6. Just look at FSG runs; they show what's possible with optimal rng. Sub 7 will definitely happen in the next year or 2.

@@clarkhersam9884 sub6 basically impossible. high 4 second portal is about as fast as anyone is ever going to get so even with a great nav and instaperch it would be more than 6 as 1:40ish is the fastest endgame you could reasonably expect. and ruined portal runs are basically a meme they are super rare they are never going to become the norm.

sometimes we have a Speedrun drought for weeks, months or even years on end when it comes to new (world) records. But SSG, FSG and RSG all getting a new WR again shortly after one another is insane.

That is an insane run. As with all WR, it'll eventually be beaten, but I'd guess by only a few seconds, and I think this moves the 1.16 RSG to the back of the list of MC WRs that will be beaten next. It's just ridiculous levels of skill and luck now. I can't even see an update (like the 1.16 update itself) giving an advantage high enough to get sub 7 without an ultimate god run.
List of fastest end enters is now something like (I'll be off by a few seconds) Zylenox 6:15, Crookst 6:35 (not prepared for the one cycle), Feinberg 6:36 (dragon didn't perch for 4 or 5 minutes), Doogile 6:55 (former world record) and that's it. Four sub-7 end enters in the history of 1.16 RSG, all of them from the best of the best. Runs like that are so rare, and the run that beats this one will have to be rarer than all of them.

I actually expected this to happen way sooner, just because after the bot, a full aspect of speedrunning, traingulation was omitted, so there had to be a large time save alongside all the other marginal improvements being done daily

Speedruns are becoming so fast that the videos that explain the complex mechanics behind the run are longer than the speed run itself. Also I’m eating eating a grilled cheese sandwich while watching this video if you are wondering yes it’s very delicious.

It's pretty impressive how he STILL manages a sub 8 with such a janky blaze spawner phase (not because of him but the rng) there is a good 10 to 20sec that could have been improved without the blazes flying away and the eye breaking, what a run

One comment: zero cycle is very luck dependent. The only thing that's not luck-based is the time it takes, which is always 55 seconds give or take, compared to a less than 50 second instaperch or a low roll that could be 5 minutes or more. (I think the average is around about 1:45?) The main luck part of it is whether or not the node the dragon is aiming for is low enough that you can hit it with the explosion damage and knock it back before it reaches it. That's what keeps it returning. If it's able to reach the node before it reaches you, it's gone and there's nothing you can do about it.

Zylenox is litteraly one of the most talented youtubers i know . And to think i first got to know him from geometry dash of all things.
There's something I'm curious about with these Minecraft speedruns. What does the community do with the seeds that result in WR runs? Do they get logged in some way or made available to the public? Also, and I know this would probably be impossible with the near infinite number of possible seeds, but what if a speedrunner happens to generate a seed that was used in a previous WR and they manage to get a verified time? Would it count for RSG or would it be classified as a set seed run?
The seed is part of the submission for every RSG run, so they're known. You could go to Zylenox's YT channel and grab the seed and play on the world if you wanted to. Repeat seeds in 1.16 is simply never going to happen.
repeat seeds in FSG has happened before but there is no way that a repeat seed is gonna be rolled in RSG and widely recognized, bc what if one was rolled by some random nobody who doesn’t stream or post vids?
@@vanilluhs True. I think it's been said the current "meta" FSG filter only has about 200K seeds, so occasionally a player does see a repeat. I should have specified RSG. One interesting thing is that there are a lot more (and I mean a lot lot more) total seeds in 1.16 than there are total nethers. I'm not sure if even a repeat nether is a possibility within the expected lifetime of the universe, but it'd be a lot more more likely than a repeat seed.
it's amazing that you can spell out "set seed run" yet ask if a run that did not set the seed is a set seed run. seed no set == not a set seed run, it's pretty simple.

From this if u removed the bad strong hold, bad ender eye throw,the accidental flint (2ffn) and the bad blaze spawns and get a perfect purch i think sub 7 min is possible but no less
Sub 6 is obviously possible. Look at fsg. Obviously it's not probable, but with optimal rng and a god seed sub 6 is even possible.

Nowhere near the human limit. Literally speaking, the human limit is 1 minute and 47 seconds right now, which is the fastest time a human can beat minecraft with no glitches. With optimal rng, like FSG, people have already gotten sub sixes. Yes, it will be hard, and probably a few years before someone gets a sub 7 or even sub 6 eventually, it's entirely possible. There could even be more new strategies developed that save even more time.
