I’ve seen people call him out on his form and tbh I think his form looks pretty good! I really believe this is all mental and he has no confidence in shooting. When I was in 8th grade I tried practicing dribbling with my left hand everyday and it was so embarrassing because I kept dribbling it off my foot and loosing the ball, but I told myself just ignore anyone who makes fun of you and eventually I got over it and now my left hand is as good as my right. Ben needs help with his confidence because this is allllllll mental for him I think.

aight. let me explain it to you. ben knows it himself that he's bad at threes. if he takes a three everytime he becomes open, and misses all of it, do you think that will benefit his team whatsoever? no. so it's better to pass it to someone who can actually shoot it. but in the case of halfcourt shots, everybody among them has arguably the same chance of shooting the ball, so there's no problem taking it himself. don't get me wrong, i hate how he cried and didnt play this season. but do i consider these half court misses a "lowlight"? hell no.
@Sam Scholten why exactly? 2 seconds left, 3 choices are: shoot the ball, pass the ball to a teammate(which would just make an arguably lower chance of making it because by the time he passes the ball, his teammate needs to get into his shooting form within 1 second left which would make it a quick release), or just not shoot the ball at all(which players do to not affect their fg% which is just purely pathetic.) unless you mean that the lowlight is that he asked for the pass, which doesn't make sense, i dont know what lowlight you're talking about

Obviously I’m not anywhere close to Ben Simmons in terms of basketball ability. But imo, this terrible shooting of his doesn’t seem like it’d be that hard to fix. Like if he dedicated 6 months to it, Monday through Friday 9-5 like a normal job, I feel like it would improve significantly, at least enough to force players to guard him on the perimeter
He has the basketball equivalent of The Yips. He is overthinking it and trying to control his shot rather than relaxing and getting into a rhythm. Not saying he could be a top shooter, but he should hit layups.
