Ben’s Simmons has been 2 years away from being 2 years away for his whole career lol
Lol. This is an underrated comment.
But as long as he's alive he's a millionaire.

This is a Bomani Jones comment if ever I heard one.
Don’t let this distract you from the fact: 1. Ben Simmons wears a shooting sleeve 2. Ben Simmons was paid 177M to run around a basketball court and never shoot
So simmons had 13 assists due to sheer blind luck? And helped make trae shoot 5/23 by not playing defense? Get a clue son
just running around out there tricking yall
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system!
@@malcolmbrown2625 I'm not justifying anything...only saying that he is doing more than just "running around". 13 assists is a stat. 8 rebounds is a stat. Shooting 2/4 is also not terrible. His problem was missing free throws, and being scared to attack, which is related to missing free throws
@@TheMatthiasRiots i told you he was a cop
You could tell Doc was sick of Ben by the end of the series lol
How some NBA coaches keep their jobs is a mystery.
Not even angry, just disappointed lol
@@bocajrs7628 TY. Doc shouldn't have a job.
Dude im disappointed in doc lol.. man left the clippers and clippers advanced to the wcf for first time. Doc most overrated coach in nba history
Let's not act as if Doc isn't responsible for this series too. He played an entire bench unit in a game 7 instead of rotating one of the starters with the bench. Simmons in a 2nd unit as a 4/5 with Philly playing "small ball" surrounded by Maxey, Milton, Hill might have worked. He let Huerter cook Seth Curry all night 😂😂😂
As a Nets fan, that’s why I have a lot of respect for Giannis, you can tell he tries to work on his game in the summer. Sure he may not make every shot and may even airball a couple FTs, but he doesn’t let it stop him from being aggressive
Yep it’s makes the criticism of him excessive when you look at Simmons
Giannis has improved an insane ammount. Hes trying his best. Most super stars and al stars always keep doing the same thing.
True. Gotta respect the hard work put in even if results are not showing right away.
Main difference in Giannis compared to Ben to me is the difference between a lot of players most of the time. Ben was a pampered Aussie who was always better than everyone he faced because he was more physically gifted not skilled. Hence being told he was going to be in the NBA and going to be good in the NBA Giannis is from a family that emigrated to Greece and fought for everything in their life because nothing was handed to them Their draft position says a lot on why one decided to grind and keep getting better for his family & why the other just coasted to get his "spotlight of fame"
Exactly, at least he works on it and is not afraid to airball shots, heck KD even airballs his shots, it happens, but you at least gotta have some guts and do it, and this 6’11 joke has the bravery of a peanut, and he has more than a hundred million of contracts! Smh big time
Exactly Chuck. It's been since his rookie season that people have been saying he's "one jumpshot away from being LeBron" yet 4 years later, it's still the same no improvement whatsoever
His bank account improved. That's all he cares about. It's just a job to him. He's not as passionate about it as the greats are. Rip Kobe ✊
@@thejoke2791 At all
His assists numbers doesn't even reflect the way he generates plays or set the tempo. CP can have only 5 assists yet you can still feel the way he sets the tempo and being a floor general while you don't get that feeling with Simmons no matter how many assists that he got.
@@judyclarkson5887 having a ‘floor general’ that can’t space the floor don’t work out in 2021, no way you put it. He lacks versatility for play off basketball

Ernie tried to cut Simmons some slack, but Shaq and Chuck ain't having it.
They know the Sixers just hit their ceiling, and it's way too low. But it's not just Simmons who deserves criticism-- some of this is on Doc, who could not figure out how to motivate and use him, and Embiid, who still makes a lot of questionable decisions throughout the game. If he wasn't 6'10 I doubt he would be in the league. None the less he won at life, became a millionaire and if he were to get cut today im sure he would be set for the rest of his life
@@Ben-xg7ig i doubt it. If his mindset is only about enjoying "celebrity life" rather than improving his game and if he gets cut off today, he'd be bankrupt after a couple of years. I bet hes happy right now that playoffs is off his shoulder, he now has more time to party and live his rockstar life
Bartender to Ben Simmons, "would you like a shot?", "No il have some water, thank you".
I swear Kenny always waffles around and never gives a proper point in a debate.
Ben Simmons is one nuclear missile shot away from being Kim Jong Un. - Stephen B Smith.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We usually think athletes are reaching when they say the mental aspect of the sport is as important as your skills and athletic abilities, but watching Ben Simmons and Joe Harris collapse like that proves them right.
The difference between them is that the Joe Harris thing seems to be a mental playoff block. Ben Simmons.....this is who he is. He's never been able to shoot the basketball
@@eckesg2 yeah bcz hes shooting with his off hand his whole life. No amount of training will make him good. He has to switch back to his right hand for shooting
Lol Joe Harris gets more points and he's the 4th/5th option not the 2nd option
@@johnlukach4091 this series vs the Bucks he was the 3rd option and he shot 27% worse than the regular season. That's mental. So it still counts. But yes not as bad as Ben Simmons
For some players, a sports psychologist is just as important as a trainer or coach
This aged well Simmons got crazy Philly still competing
This didn’t age well. Harden (somehow) eclipsed Simmons 😂😂😂
Ben and Giannis are two different players with different yet some similar type of games one of which not being able to shoot consistently with those midrange to long range. But the big difference between these two players is that Giannis always dont fail to try to elevate his game in both ends of the floor and no matter how many airballs he got compared to Ben which I guess you see the stats who failed to try even shooting or being aggressive. I'm not a pure Giannis fan but I can bet unto him with the game on the line than Simmons.
It just occurred to me that Dennis Rodman could actually give ben simmons pointers on both free throw and three point shooting....he's way better 🤷🏿♂️
Dennis Rodman used to be a scorer in college though, he changed his game once he got in the league
Is that really a shock? Rodman was a beast
Even Giannis has started taking three-point shots. You don't even have to excel at it, just take the shots; doesn't matter at this point if you make or miss.
That’s when you know your at rock bottom
He's gonna be working with Chris Dudley this summer on his shooting.
The same conversation after sixers playoff loss.. every year...
Man I love these guys!
Poor EJ Kenny was the only one actually trying to answer to his que lol
I still can’t believe coaches at middle school, high school, college…. DIDNT TEACH Ben how to shoot the ball
He shot the ball in highschool & college lol
It's not from a lack of practice. It's from a lack of mental toughness, will and confidence.
his dad played professional ball in australia, ben would have had access to a gym 24/7 and access to some of the best coaches in the country. i too cannot fathom how he got so far without being able to shoot!! SMH!
He needs to take accountability for not being able to shoot....
I just dont understand how someone gets into basketball at young age and doesnt shoot the ball, its literally the whole point of the game and the very first thing you learn after dribbling maybe... its mind-boggling..
The guy went 15/45 from FT in the series, 25/73 overall in post season. Gotta be some sort of nba record
I'll introduce you to Ben Wallace in 2006, 26.8%
@@saintsfan270 Ben Wallace is a center tho, not a guard like Ben Simmons 😂😂😂😂
@@saintsfan270 And yet he’s still a better player than 🗑 Simmons
With a minimum of 70 attempts, Ben Simmons' 34.2% free throw percentage this postseason is the worst in a postseason in NBA history. I copied and pasted that tweet from espns stats and info
It is
Doc having most game 7s mean his team can't close the series quickly and adjust properly. Should've put up the stats on how many of those game 7s he won vs lost.
Ben Simmons last known location on the basketball court.
The fact that Doc Rivers has the most Game 7s as a coach in NBA history says it all.
@@johnstarks8831 he's trash duh
@@johnstarks8831 most game 7s is nba history is clearly and obviously not a good stat to hold
@Truth Teller Rick carsalle would not have blown two 20 point leads. He also wouldn't have lost tonight's game with Trae shooting 5/27. Heck Kerr wouldn't have blown this. Doc blew leads with the magics, clippers, and now this team. It's hilarious how the clips are in the conference finals now and he's out again in the second round. Having the most game 7s means you can't close out. Expectially when you also lost the most game 7s.
@Truth Teller ty lue obviously he took doc old team to conference finals without best player he would of made Ben shoot
@@Majuuub Rick Carlisle hasn’t won a playoff series in over a decade. Don’t mention his name.
This might be my favorite Inside discussion yet, they are genuinely analyzing a way to improve using their professional assessments - scathing at times, but absolutely awesome. ANNNNND Doc is a gentleman first, a weaker man would blame.
I agree. I love the talk about Ben Simmons here. And somehow, Doc being diplomatic and not throwing his player under the bus is considered weak or dumb. He's just doing what nearly every coach would do. A good coach wouldn't lower the morale of his players.
