  • None of these things would've been an issue if Ben would simply put in the work to improve as a player. It's been multiple years with zero improvements.

    • Everyone is assuming that Ben Simmons can improve. What if this is the best Ben can be? Then, it's Philly's problem for drafting him as high as he was. And it's their fault for not recognizing his ceiling and utilizing he to the best he can be. What is it about Philly and how it treats it's 'superstars'? I swear when Chuck left Philly for Phoenix he jinxed the team.

  • If your coach says he's not sure he can win a championship with you, most NBA players would use that as fuel to prove them wrong and work harder at winning one. Ben deciding to fold and go to another team means he wants an easy chip without working hard, perfect for a superteam mentality

  • Ben’s been coddled, babied, and told his 💩 don’t stink since junior high. That’s why his game doesn’t improve, he thinks he’s good enough the way he is, and there’s money in the bank and the yes men around him to prove it. The whole league watching to see what happens. I don’t have a solution, I’d trade him to the smallest market possible for a sweat mop if I was Philly and I’d definitely fire Rich Paul if I was Ben.

    • the problem is, in nowadays nba style of play, if someone likes it or not, EVERY position has not even be able to shoot the ball from every situation, they also have to DO it. atm i am no longer sure, if simmons is physically capable of acknowledging this or if he is just straight thinking he and his genius is born to change the game and win some chips without shooting any ball - of course all team"m8s" have to shoot, but not him. he just dunks and makes some minihookshots

    • @@atomaalatonal Yup the only position it's still not demanded heavily is the 5, but Simmons can't play the 5 with his weak af mentality and fear of the FT line. The best version of Ben Simmons would be closer to a game like Draymond Green who even though he's a bad shooter he isn't scared to shoot, but the problem is that Simmons has nowhere near the leadership/comradery intangibles that Draymond has, in fact he's kind of the opposite to Draymond in a lot of ways. IMO the best fit for Simmons is Portland right now, they need to improve defensively and can afford to give up some offense, Dame-CJ combo has run it's course and is going nowhere, no other team that's looking to make deep playoff runs needs Simmons as much as Portland, and most of them also don't have the pieces to trade for Simmons or would prefer not to trade for Simmons.

Ben has showed he's not willing to shoot or improve on that period, only teams that are really bad would take such a risk and they'd have to give away half of their team for that, who would do it?

I would not trade my whole team for him, but I would give up some assets, he is a good, young player with potential, he makes your team better day 1.   • When you realize you've been paying someone to play out of position and now want them to play the position you pay them for. Ben Simmons is a big dude I would argue to big to be a point man I'd make h a forward or a small centre he has the skill set to do either very well and provide very useful passing from those positions.

    • Ey, here in Real Madrid would be happy with Ben in our roster. Coach Laso knows how to improve players, Doncic, Mirotic, Hernangómez, Garuba, Campazzo, Deck...Give him a couple of seasons working with Ben Simmons, and he will return to the NBA turned in a much better player.   • Look at a guy like Giannis. Came to the league "You're too skinny" Okay, I'll bulk up and be a presence. "You score all your points in the paint, you need a good jumper" comes back this year after 2 MVPs, DPOY, a ring among other things with a rebuilt jumper. It's about work ethic, team first mentality and desire. Never satisfied. That's why people like Giannis get the rewards, you'll never see him kicking stones or putting himself before the team.
