I hope this might cheer you up a little. There was a big concert in England this evening. It was held in aid of the DEC appeal for Ukraine. This concert alone has raised 11 million pounds. There are all kinds of money raising events going on all over the UK as well as individuals driving donated goods to the Polish border to kit out families as they cross the border. My whole country is doing what it can to help Ukraine. Telling us about the way you became an airline pilot was really interesting. Great to understand a bit of the relationship between Ukraine and Ruzzia in the past. Keep well, Denys. Best wishes to you and your family.

Greetings, Captain. Through watching your cockpit vids, and now, watching your go around (BMU) vid, I can say that it seems so many accidents/incidents caused by cockpit crew are caused by poor or nonexistent CRM. I could hardly find the runway as you were turning left. But what caught my eye immediately was when you said the ATR was too high to land, so you chose to go around. So many pilots, instead of going around, initiate an often fatal descent that ends either crashing short of the runway, or crashing on the runway. At the very least, a hard landing. I hope to see you flying again soon. The insanity of Vladimir must be stopped. It has already destroyed so much.

Hi Denys, you mentioned something that I have heard before even here in the US by other pilots. That is pilots being asked to fly planes with minor issues. There is a good chance that a plane with an issue like the Deicing not working will take off and land fine without an issue but it is normally a combination of several issues that lead to a catastrophic failure. It is a good thing planes are built with redundant backups.

Thank you for such an interesting post. Your training and conditions in Siberia have prepared you for any challenge. I'm shocked at the accommodation you and your fellow trainee pilots had to endure. It's like barracks in army. Ukrainian standards are in line with the developed world, uplifting a profession that is responsible for safety of passengers.

Btw in France French aircrafts, including airliners, use to speak French with ATC (Spanish in Spain or in South America and so on) so that it's not that unusual as long as you stay inside the country.

I don’t know if it as all similar, but I’ve stayed in hotels with a shared bathroom per 5 2-person rooms, and I’ve stayed in hostels. The most important thing, about 80%, is hotel staff to keep the bathrooms clean and usable. About 20% is guests being considerate of each other. And for me personally, it’s 99% getting to the showers while there is still hot water. 😉 There are a lot of guys who have never really cleaned up after themselves. They always had their mothers care for them. Really, they are like children in this way.
@@MarcosElMalo2 back in 2011 after the first year in school I was sent to a judo sport camp to Crimea. The means of living were soviet as hell. And there were two bathrooms per floor: for men and for women. One day someone literally smeared poop inside women’s bathroom. Im not kidding. The whole like section was covered in shit😂😂😂. Coach thought that did a boy and ordered guys to take part in cleaning it

Ah sorry, I meant to comment already! 1) You never need to apologise for your voice/english. Your english is MUCH better than my Ukranian right? Haha! Being serious for a second, have you thought of some kind of work of voice over/audiobooks type work? You actually have the right tempo, volume, timbre to your voice which is perfect for audio voice artist jobs. Truthfully! 2) Can totally understand how those yuck living accomodation in Siberia would trigger you for life! Stay awesome! Looking forward to next chapter!
