  • Wow! So spiritual. My nan always said: where would the world be without music. Lyrics and the voice, or in this case sign language also make up the three parts of a song. Wonderful performance by all involved

  • Please add closed captions. I am an asl user, and some of the signs are same/similar, but the cc option is considered standard for sign interpretation. Thank you. This really is quite beautiful.

    • It is something that is in most videos. You need to enable it to see it.

  • Hearing loss is a spectrum, many people considered deaf haven’t learned sign language so closed captions on this would be a great help.. unless it’s sign language awareness week... EDIT I can see they have added the closed captions :-)

    • But it's still appalling how few big businesses routinely add captioning (or Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, as they're called in the UK). Captioning inclusion (and quality) is still far rarer than it ought to be. At least there's as much as there is, compared to how rare audio-descriptions for blind and partially sighted persons is.

      @GaryMorin@GaryMorin3 жыл бұрын
    • @Sara Glenton What's your point? In fact, 80% of captioning users are not Deaf or hard-of-hearing but use captioning because they're in a noisy environment, in a shared location and don't want to bother other people, the sound quality is poor, etc. And so what, what's the big deal in adding captioning - or is it okay to marginalize, disenfranchise, and oppress some communities?

  • Fabulous. Of course PCharles'grandmother was profoundly deaf. I'm heading that way. PP was losing his hearing. My mother began serious hearing loss in her forties (40+) and her very close friend was a teacher of the Deaf. Signing was completely unacceptable to Mum's friend. These days signing is one of New Zealand/Aotearoa's three(3) official languages: Maori, English and Sign. I still can't speak te reo or sign and the English I used to speak and write so fluently is changing so rapidly around me in this land of the Orks that sooner than I realise I won't be able to express myself (fill in whatever understanding you might have) And then .....we'll see.

  • KING JESUS is coming so soon to take all those in Christ out of harms way in the blink of an eye friends then the 7 year tribulation will begin when God will open the seals and pour out his Judgement so if you do not want to be left behind in what the gospel describes as the worst time ever in the history of the world then by faith pray and ask Jesus to save you and forgive you of your sins by his finished work on the cross so you can receive eternal life in the kingdom of heaven and have your name written in the book of life . John 14.6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me [ we are in the end times and the beast is rising the satanic elites are resetting the world for the future antichrist and the mark of the beast in your right hand or forehead to be able to buy and sell [ NEVER take the mark or worship the beast it is a one way ticket to hell ] and ALL bible prophecy is coming to pass every single day and WAR IS COMING SOON God bless and help you all and those in christ have nolthing to fear . Matthew 24.40.42 king James version 40 then shall two be in the field , the one shall be taken , and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill , the one shall be taken , and the other left . 42 Watch therefore , for ye know not what hour your lord doth come .
