After such career ending injuries, Anderson's longevity should be appreciated much more. Gonna be interesting to see what Weidman does this time. And I hope Conor's comeback won't be a disaster either if he even returns this year...

Honestly I feel he displayed some great heart and will to win his last fight and he had his moments. I know it sounds weird but I think he can bounce back, maybe not but I just got that feeling.

I hear ppl compare Conor’s leg break to Chris’s and just heard Chael and D.C. say it the other day.. I’m not saying Conor’s wasn’t bad or wasn’t terrible but they’re night and day two different things and Chris has been thru hell and back several times. I wish him the best

It was a competitive fight but I definitely winced every time Tavares kicked that leg. Man has nothing to prove anymore. Quality of life is the top priority at this point.

I tried giving Weidman the benefit of the doubt here but once again he said "I feel like I have what it takes to be the best in the world" making me cringe like always. At what point does belief become delusion? Weidman is way over the hill and wasn't going to climb back to the top before the leg break. This makes me root against him. How many reality checks does one person need? He's a nice guy too but come on.
I think its something fighters tell themselves to be in good spirits. Its like asking every guy in the top 10 do they think they can become champ. All of them will say yes.

While I agree with you, every fighter is delusional, they have to be. You can't be a logical level headed thinker and become a world champion, because when they start on the amateur scene and in regional pro promotions, the idea that they'll become a UFC champion one day is delusional. Their loved ones and coaches have to save them from themselves, if Chris loses this one by finish, I guarantee you his dad, and Ray Longo will convince him to retire.
