    • @@ppvplug3940 Strickland is a tough matchup for Whittaker mate. Whittaker always does his best work against grapplers and power punchers. Technical strikers have always given him trouble and Strickland is going to see Rob’s blitz from a mile away.

    • @@benlewis5312 rob doesn’t only have a blitz when he fights smart, he has good leg kicks as well that set up his punches and he has good timing and a good jab. I think Roberts going to have a speed advantage the first few rounds but the longer it extends I think Sean will have more success in the later rounds.

  • What he says at 4:14 is awesome and I completely agree with his thoughts about it. Against Du Plessis I saw a great fighter that was fighting analytically, but not doing heavy damage and of course Du Plessis took him out. That was Robert Whittaker but that wasn't The Reaper. Against Costa I felt like I was watching The Reaper again.

  • For real I don't think most people UNDERSTAND what it's like to HAVE to be in the zone, feeling ready to go that day at that exact moment! You can just wake up someday & feel off! It must be crazy cause u have NO CONTROL over that no matter how much you train. Sometimes they over train, don't recover enough to be spot on for the fight most of all but then the weight cut can always mess with that or how you sleep etc. It's such a crazy uncontrollable thing that you almost have to find peace in accepting that unknown, ya know? I'd recommend Robert to watch the most recent Sean O'malley Vlog and see how him and his team handle fight day, pre fight walk out. It's the most solid approach I've ever seen

  • Even though I haven't had a "favorite" fighter since Crocop got KO kicked by Gonzaga (I vowed to never have a favorite because it broke my heart lol), I route for Whittaker hard. I'm pretty sure in the last 10 years he's only lost to Izzy and DDP and beat everyone else. Would love to see him get another title shot.

    • Right? 9 days later and the guy looks fresh, like how is that possible. There should be atleast some little spots visible in different colors or something, but not even the cut is visible anymore 😂 my skin heals pretty fast too, but I dont know of it would heal that much damage within 9 days.

  • I don't know where Whitaker is mentally he was champ, lost the belt to Izzy 2019, had an amazing run up to their second fight (that I thought he won 3-2 btw) now he is still top 3 middleweights in the world but also 5 kids has made good money and had some real wars in the octagon. I am a huge fan but I can see him retiring soon it's hard to catch a third wind

  • i like to consider myself a true fan of mma and i never once feel like rob nor dustin are "washed up". I, unfortunatly, reserve thoses feelings for someone like tony ferguson. He's one of the real OGs for the lightweight division but this recent skid hurts as a fan.

  • I like Rob. But just stop with the excuses. Before the DDP fight, he was in the best shape of his life. In every interview he said that he felt the best he ever has. He even looked the best he ever has. We told these DDP doubters before that fight that Dricus is on a different level. Everybody wants to fight DDP until they are in the octagon with him, then they don't want to be there. These fighters and their fans always have excuses after they fought Dricus. No surprise.
