Aaron Rodgers is a pleasant surprise to me, he's doing a great job as Jeopardy host!!! 👍
Aw stop it no he's not it's like watching paint dry be objective
This is only the 5th game Rodgers has ever done, and I think he's improving with each new game. That suggests a high potential for this. Plus he actually wants the job, which means something to me. This is a future hall of fame pro athlete who wants this job.
For a gameshow host, he makes an excellent QB.
I think this guy *licks lips* this guy could be pretty good at football
@@JonSmith-hk1bq On the other hand- as a HOF (future) QB he is being an excellent game show host. Aaron Rodgers is not going to QB forever, so that's a sweet deal.
LaVar Burton also wants the job. He'd be cheaper and he has a petition.
@@mholtebeck Meh. I was trying to be nice, but you guys are kidding yourselves. He's perfectly fine for guest hosting for a week, but, from the sample we've seen this week, Aaron's got to work on his monotone delivery if he's ever going the MC any gameshow. Or work in a broadcast booth for that matter.
I'm enjoying Aaron's coolness as a host. Alex Trebek is irreplaceable, but Aaron Rodgers is certainly living up to what he made...
Unless Jeopardy likes him better, they should name the new host Ken Jennings
Interesting. I think he’s quite awkward in the role. He doesn’t seem in command of the content. To me, the best post-Alex host was Mike Richards...by far.
He seems really wooden. I honestly thought Ken Jennings was much better.
@@jg-2900 You're kind of correct, but it's a tie between him & Aaron.
Aaron will always be a guest host but Ken Jennings is the future permanent host for this job.
The Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Detroit Lions must be thrilled with this, because Aaron Rodgers has found his next calling, and it isn't in Lambeau Field.
He was saying he could Play in the NFL and still host full time
@@13luckyzombie realistically he could
It’s a joke but coming from a cheese head, this comment was actually pretty funny 😂
Don't worry, with or without Rodgers the Packers will still beat the Lions. Or, the Lions will find ways to lose.
Vikings fan here, can confirm.
Aaron is both relaxed and respectful - best guest host so far
Then why is it when they do a poll of the guest host he's at the bottom I think but delirious he's not good it's like watching paint dry
Never in a million years I've been excited to watch Jeopardy but now Aaron Rodgers is hosting its awesome. GO PACK GO
I don't normally comment but please jeopardy exec's, please keep the humble Aaron Rodgers on as host, what ever it takes, very few could replace Alex, but you've done very well, don't keep switching, keep Aaron on. Thank you for the many years of memories, and here's to many more.
I have to admit...he's starting to grow on me. I like this Rodgers guy.
Aaron is a all around Great Guy ! His money raising ability for the hurting businesses of Butt County California is Outstanding! Thank you Aaron, you’ve come along way since seeing you at the E Free Church in Ukiah, California!
I just love Aaron in this role. I still want him playing football too, but this should be his next gig for sure!
I genuinely can’t believe how good Aaron Rodgers is at this job. I can from the standpoint of he’s incredibly intelligent, but it’s crystal clear how much this show means to him, as well as AT, who would be so proud of how Aaron is doing.
I enjoy Jeopardy!
He's one of my favorite guest hosts so far, barring Ken of course.
Aaron is the best. He has almost the same calm voice trebek had. Imagine as he gets older
Jennings was horrible
I didn't like his mousey voice.
@@mariekano9730 b
Although not an Aaron Rodgers fan on the field. He has done an amazing job while on Jeopardy, absolutely nailing it with his cool and calm personality. Great job.. Go Bears!!
Not an Aaron Rodgers fan on the field because he's been whooping the Bears ass for his entire career!
I guarantee some of these contestants are like... “Aaron who? Who is this guy and why is he hosting?” 😂
Thats when someone replies you shut that dirty little mouth and be silent 😂
Nah i don't think so, because if it wasn't Aaron it would've been some random person that nobody knows about. Plus I'm pretty sure that somebody on the set tells the contestants who he is
He is , by far, the best!!! So laid- back and respectful.
He could also be known as “the guy from the State Farm commercials”
Perfect post route-touchdown. Well done numero 12.
Arron Rodgers is perfect for the job and I hope they will make him a permanent host. He is more than qualified!
Damn I should’ve gotten that... had to read both of the books for school and couldn’t place where I remembered the rabbits from, maybe I am Lenny lol
Nobody knows what Mike Richards and the producers are thinking, but show by show, Aaron is improving. I would guess Mike has enough to do without taking over as host, and Ken Jennings would certainly do well and is a name among "J!" viewers. And yet, here's a man who's been successful in his career and LOVES this game. I know there are more guest hosts coming, but right now, I'd vote for Aaron.
I like to watch Aaron, he shows alot of enthusiasm towards the contestants & also to the audience. Aaron show alot of personality & most of all he has a wonderful sense of humour. Not everybody that hosts jeopardy has this Quality. 3 things, personality, sense of humour, & certainly personality. Good for you Arron. We love seeing you. A devoted jeopardy watcher. Love Ya, Maureen James Thanks so much. 🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹💕💕💕💕❤️🌹
Never thought I'd see him doing something like this lol but he's actually doing great wouldn't mind him doing it during off seasons
Ah yes, George Orwell, that famous American
I'll admit that I thought Animal Farm and then realized it said American and realized it could not be right, lol
I thought the same thing when I saw their answers. Another example of why you always have to keep the category in mind when playing.
@@ryancalhoun2910 I think they probably knew, but just wanted to put something down.
Yeah I thought that was odd too. Not that I got it right, I was thinking Watership Down. lol It didn't occur to me till later that it must have been written by someone English.
I keep waiting to hear "Green 18!".
Lol.... I thought it was Three 19!! Maybe it's Green 19!!
Hut hut!
I thought he did a great job all week, I would be delighted to see him as the new host! ❤
YOU. You have the perfect look...
After he retires from GBP
@@lindakorbel6018 retires?!!! Retirement is such a dirty word, lol.
Aaron Rodgers as a host has been doing a great job
Aaron Rogers 👍👍👍👍👍
Either I’m getting smarter or the final jeopardy questions are getting easier
Its definitely not the former
Let me guess, you also read this in English class?
Aaron Rodgers is.doing a great job. Comfortable in front of the camera, knowledgeable, quick wit. Well rounded host. I enjoy him and Katy Couric the most.
I like him hes very chill classy respectable I love his whole demeanor. Remember no one like Alex when he came out but over time as he got older witb the show the audience loved him. I feel like if Aaron stays on this show as he grows he will be the best host ever. Give him time to find his mojo in the show. Once he gets the hang of it he'll be so confident and comfortable enough like Alex did. Alex spent 30 plus years on jeopardy. Aaron did one week. Let him grow. Let him get the feel of the job
Rodgers has been doing good!
Aaron Rodgers is the man
Tough question. I guessed Watership Down.
The rabbit part of the clue threw me off too. Was tricky if you didn't remember the rabbits on the farm part
@@CharlesLumia rabbits were literally a main part of Of Mice and Men
1930s were literally Great Depression era writers, the main one being Steinbeck He has a handful of novellas tortilla flat, the pearl and of mice and men. The only one to mention rabbits, being integral to the story, is of mice and men.
Great job Aaron!
George Alexander Trebek was born on July 22nd, 1940 in Sudbury, Ontario, and died from Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer on November 8th, 2020 at the age of 80 years old in Los Angeles, CA!!!!!!!!!!! He will be #Missed!!!!!!!!!!
He said my name. Damn right! Lol. Get it Aaron! 💪😎👊
Give me more of papa Aaron
I love this Aaron Rodgers. I find him obnoxious quite often on the field but like him as the Jeopardy host.
He's doing a great job! Getting better as he goes. His small talk will and bits of info that he says will get better. Good job ar12
He does a very nice emcee for this show! Keep him on, please.
Son did you know Aaron Rodgers was once a nfl quarterback?
Great job Aaron
My 2 bffs loved watching you
I am so in love with Aaron Rodgers. He's the right host for Jeopardy. None of the snideness of Alex, beloved as he was. And Aaron's voice. The questions don't sound like a threat. Maybe Brady would Guest Host when Aaron goes on vacation
Alex would be very proud of Aaron.
He’s a natural... yes he should be the next Jeopardy host!
He's a good host. Keep him.
I like all the Guest Hosts. But I really like the first one, who happens to be a producer. Keep it going kids!
I don't like the packers but I do have mad respect for Aaron Rodgers. He is killing it hosting jeopardy. You can really tell he is enjoying every moment. Complete Natural.
He is by far the best host since Alex, he has a cool laid back vibe, calming voice and effortless spontaneity. The others ones seemed to struggle to be engaging and failed attempts to be clever in the moments.
AND I GET TO TEND THE RABBIT-
Don’t want to say it, as a long time Viqueen fan. But Aaron Rodgers is damn good on jeopardy.
I have to admit...I like Rogers...calm, cool and smart. He'll get into a groove and probably host for 30 years.
Well we all know who should be the next host of jeopardy 💯
WITHOUT A DOUBT!
No disrespect to any of the trial hosts, including Aaron, but I’ve heard about a fans’ endorsement for LeVar Burton. Knowing these episodes are pre-recorded by several months, I know there would be some challenges in giving him a slot at this point, but it’d be interesting to give him a try.
Le Var Burton has been interested in doing Jeopardy for a while now. He would be perfect. Imagine all his fans from Reading Rainbow & Star Trek. He would be such an inspiration to minority viewers. Has there ever been a minority game show host in the U S?
His energy is like golf on valium
This might be the first time ever that I knew a Final Jeopardy answer!
I like what they are doing when it comes to the host of the show. They should do this for a year, and continue to rotate guest hosts. Let everyone enjoy a wide selection of personalities and then have some type of decision or vote.
*Of Mice And Men* is a *1937* novel by *John Steinbeck* . Animal Farm is a 1945 novel by George Orwell.
AARON IS SO GOOD
I have seen interviews with Mr. Aaron Rodgers. He is a very, very intelligent person.
Very nice job matching the winnings to a charity helping small businesses.
Where can I find that sound effect? 0:08
Great job Aaron! Very professional and classy.
Easy question, great host, I like it.
What a bloody legend
Damn. I was thinking Steinbeck but Of Mice and Men didn’t come to mind. The only book in my head was Grapes of Wrath.
The key here is "novella." Of Mice and Men is short, Grapes of Wrath is great but it's really long lol
I never even thought of Steinbeck. My first thought was "Watership Down."
@@jackdelorenzo8498 Same, but I also knew that it was published in the 1970s, not the ‘30s...and Richard Adams (like George Orwell) is British, not American.
@@Sharky165 I had just realized they were decades apart.
@@jackdelorenzo8498 Yep, it can be tough in the 15 seconds (or whatever Final Jeopardy’s timespan is) given to “reason out” the answer if you don’t know it right away. The “Rabbit” series of books by John Updike (who is American) also crossed my mind for a couple seconds, but those too were written much later than the ‘30s, and they weren’t literally about 🐰 🤣
Congratulations to Dennis!!!!
I'm totally hatin' on the dude right now. Rodgers is one of the NFL's best QB talents ever, looks like that and seamlessly transitions into being a great host of an iconic game show. Damn man, save some of the talent for the rest of us! Apparently he feels comfortable following icons.
John Steinbeck’s of mice and me is a classic novel and if you haven’t read it I highly recommend that you do and follow the story of George and Lenny
Sad that 2/3 contestants said an English writer's book.
2/3 also named a book written in the 40s. Ugh....
to me this is one the the easiest final jeopardy's ever just knowing the basics of the great classic of mice and men should make it the only reasonable question
Love watching Rodgers host!
I’ve seen episodes of jeopardy where the sports categories are the most challenging for the contestants so I doubt some of these folks know who this A A Ron really is.
Aaron just secures this job more and more each episode.
Well Aaron does great as a host for Jeopardy. I think he would be a great choice. Some big shoes to fill, but I think he would be great.
Aaron Rodgers is going to take Alex Trebeck's place as jeopardy host after he gets done in the NFL!!! Let's go Packers, Go Pack Go!!!
i first thought "of mice and men" purely due to the fact it's one of few american novels i know to have been written in the 1930s, but i've never read or watched it, so i was like "why the rabbit? isn't it about mice?"
Hope Aaron Rodgers hosts permanently. Fantastic!
I read of mice and men in high school
Keep Aaron as full time host!
I agree!! Hes amazing
Just let him do it ,he obviously loves being up there
I was hoping for the other Rodgers as the new host. But Aaron is doing great.
We know what Aaron Rodgers’ next gig after he retires from the NFL, not the broadcasting booth for games, but on broadcast TV hosting Jeopardy!
So when are yall giving rodgers the job full time?
Only here for Aaron
Can’t wait too see u in September, go Giants lol
Man so sad not having Alex and I would have though they would have made Ken Jennings the new host... but tbh this guys voice quite soothing.
Rodgers definitely got a future as a presenter of shows, events, whatever. He’s really professional and likeable 👍
Aaron Rodgers is too sexy for words.
Just a hunch....but I think the host could play some QB
At first I thought Watership Down, but that's British, not American. I thought of Of Mice and Men, but too late.
I got it wrong, I said Of Men and Mice
I actually got of mice and men right! That’s at least one be good thing that came out of reading that book last year for 9th grade😂
Rodgers is the best quarterback and the best jeopardy host other than trebek lol go pack lol
Aaron Rodgers is not only a great quarterback, he is also showing that he should be the host of Jeopardy
Hoping Jeopardy keeps Aaron on as the new permanent host. He has a geneous way about his personality, That shines! Still missing, The Great Alex Trebek!
A Rod sounds like Liam Neeson
Aaron did an AMAZING job with his first week guest hosting!
I'm not sure why so many have this opinion? I think he has been very dull and boring. He must be putting people to sleep!
@@bjgentry nah, just you, he’s been amazing
@@bjgentry I really didn't know who he was before he was hosting Jeopardy, as I don't watch football, but he was very good.
@@bjgentry He’s appeared more comfortable as the week went on, and ultimately the focus of the week has been on the answers/questions, the players, and the game. I don’t watch to see the host put on a show; I watch for the game. Obviously, with years of experience and talent, Trebek found the perfect spots to inject his own personality, but those moments were really a small percentage of the content of the show. Trebek’s biggest asset was always his respect for the game and its integrity; the game is the heart of the show. Rodgers has the same respect for the game and isn’t making himself the star of the show - the game is the star. (Also, and I don’t mean this disrespectfully, but there were plenty of times when Trebek came off as condescending to players; attempts at humor can walk a fine line, and particularly years ago there where times when Trebek’s jokes came at the players’ expense. This decreased over the years and Trebek showed his gracious side far more than his sarcastic side, which served him well and I believe was a truer reflection of his character than the condescension. But I guess my point is that I appreciate a guest host showing humility in his stint, and Rodgers has done that despite being the biggest star to host this far.)
Aaron's not too bad behind the podium, but I still think hr's a better QB!!
Would've guessed Watership Down, except that's not American.
