You have to love the stupidity of Owen "I'm a liability" Farrell.
It’s a good job they are the same clips otherwise it’s would be more like football and that is not something we fans want.
With all these rule changes recently they should rather introduce a black card. That's when the ref calls the police to remove a player. Some actions are outside of the game completely.

The change from when I was playing is most of these are so sneaky, we just got stuck in and every game would have a few punch ups but cheap shots were rare because everyone knew retribution would be swift and savage. Self refereeing was much more effective than the limp wristed pap we see now.
Why advertise it as rugby fights when most of this was dangerous tackles

The red card for France against Scotland was a scandal. Maybe a yellow for a punch in that situation, but not a red.
Direct punch to the face, straight red, Ritchie didn’t get to reply as taken out but he was a junior judo champ so suspect he’d more than held his own in that stramash.
@@dougthedynamo I mean, in this situation, it was forgivable. A general brawl was almost comming, and they don't show it there. But one of the two scots in front have made something, like catching him by the high of the shirt. The kind of things that is almost always followed by a punch thrown by the guy who does it.
@@user-zc2kw3fo1d Nick Haining who was 8 that day reacted to something earlier and pushed Haoas, the push was in the face and France claimed an eye gouge but the tmo and citing committee rejected that claim. I remember being at that game and there was a bit of niggle early on, but that was the only incident which boiled over, can’t throw a punch and not get sent off.
Not a scandal at all, Haouas deserved the red card.
What does a "red card" do?
It sends the offending player off for the rest of the game without a replacement. So the offending team now has to play the rest of the game 14 vs 15.
