  • Hy Kilian, thanks for your video. On 24:45 unfortunately you didn’t get nervous and too good that day. 😉 i was hoping to catch up to the 3rd position, i think if 2 riders ride together they are stronger than the man in front alone.

Also, I noticed you were breathing in this video more than I've seen in any other videos of yours, which proves how challenging this track and your battle with Stefan was for you, Hopefully, next year you will get that win. Both MOH and Mega are so extraordinary and your added commentaries here just draw us closer to the fun and inner workings of the game; which are way too challenging and dream-like for the ordinary people. Nevertheless, I think Kilian will also appreciate his added commentaries years from now when he looks back on the substantial information he has inserted to the video and the tonnes of precious memories it will return to him.

  • Your content just keeps getting better! Production quality with the text commentary, position indicator and speed really made this a fun ride to watch. Great race and battle with Peter. I think Peter's 'push' comment was that he knew if you two pushed together that you might be able to catch them. I was very much looking forward to this video, thanks for posting it and taking your time to do it right.

I first found out about this race two years ago from your video and I love watching your footage. I don't know if it would give away too much, but I would love to see your heart rate if you can put that in next year!

    • we've got some stuff that's even gnarlier than Le Deux Alps over at Bootleg Canyon. Although it's not the same because there's only 800 feet of descent instead of 8,000 feet. But yeah, Kilian's videos are the best. Tactical mass start downhill.

  • I really appreciate your commentary on these. Right before you said you were writing your thoughts as you experienced them in the race I was wondering if you did, since later on in other races with your comments you often start to write thoughts of motivation and pushing through pain and numbness. Also really enjoy watching your rivalry with Stefan, it's great to have competitors who consistently push you in the mental game.

  • What an amazing effort! I was never aware how challanging such a downhill race can be. You have to make split-second decision on a constant basis with absolutely stunning speed up to 60km/h on rocky roads. Crazy. The amount of energy it takes and endurance you need to have to master such a long race is impressive. Hats off fella! First down hill video I‘ve ever watched and I never tried it myself. Keep pushing Kilian, you definitely have the skills to reach your dream and be 1st placed.

  • Fantastic video Kilian and reading your insights, your thoughts, your doubts, seeing how your strategy has to constantly evolve during the course of the race gives us a really unique perspective on the whole thing, not to mention adds that all important human and mental element that is lost in so many other videos. You're totally right to keep the comments written and to the side so as not to detract from hearing all the other sounds during the race. I've been watching Megavalanche videos for a few years now, and yours are definitely my favourite. Would love to see you win and we'll all be right there with you when you do!

  • Just an idea for future videos, would it be possible to have a rear camera to gather footage of when you're having battles with other riders, like the ones you had with Kjell and Stefan, to see if they're gaining on you or you're leaving them behind, i feel it would bring yet another dimension to your already top notch videos.

It takes a hevay toll on both + stefan & you were each others guiding force, he definitely wnjoyed your fight in the middle phase. And damn man, what an all-rounder you are, keep editing those commentary parts & let us know your thoughts throughout the match. Aweosme piece of work. Kept me hooked for 43 mins straight! ❤

  • Excellent video - well worth the wait. The commentary is really helpful to understand a rider's strategy for this race, and yours in particular. Even though I had watched other riders' videos and knew the result, it was still an intense experience to see it play out from your POV. Your video reveals how the early stage on the snow is really crucial. The race can be won or lost in the first couple of minutes. It seems all the top riders are now at a level where there are very few opportunities for overtaking on some sections and much time can be lost behind a slower rider. Best wishes for next year.

    • A footnote to my comment above - I calculated it took Kilian a full minute longer to reach the singletrack section than Damien Oton. About 70 seconds longer than Hugo Pigeon. That is a huge disadvantage in a 40 minute race.

  • Amazing video! The commentary is a fantastic addition😊 Seeing you make a mistake and working your way to the front is also much more interesting for me as a spectator than a perfect run in first place. One request tho: Please make the font for your live ranking bigger/thicker, like the words "live ranking" - the thin number is very hard to see, especially against light backgrounds.
