Imagine being Sasha Vujacic and having to take those 2 free throws, in the last minute of Game 7 of the NBA finals. Nerves of steel.
@S3thduckyquackmoo2 жыл бұрын
For real. He had to be on fuckin cloud 9 after making those. You'd feel like the biggest bad ass ever, hahaha. Even if you sucked ass the rest of your career, you'd always have that in your back pocket. So Sasha what is the most valuable thing in your life? Well obviously making those free throws. So that's more valuable to you than your wife and kids? Oh, one HUUNDRED percent

This comment is for ALL the idiots who say "Kobe didn't deserve Finals MVP." Kobe's averages in the 2010 NBA Finals up until Game 7: • 30 Points Per Game • 7 Rebounds Per Game • 4.2 Assists Per Game • 2.5 Steals Per Game • 1 Block Per Game • 44% FG% • 37% 3P% • 93% FT% And most people that try to discredit his Game 7 performance don't even realize that he still played great defense, GOT 15 REBOUNDS AS A SHOOTING GUARD, and got to the line plenty while being very clutch and efficient. Kobe knew his shoot wasn't falling, so he used his diverse skillset and basketball I.Q to impact the game in other ways to help his team win, that's called greatness! And on top of that, EVERYONE on both teams shoot poorly in Game 7. And in addition, Kobe also had a fractured finger on his shooting hand. I find it funny how all haters can say is "Kobe shot 6-24" without acknowledging or mentioning ANY of these facts. In short, people should do their research and learn a thing or two about the game of basketball before trying to diminish Kobe's greatness in the 2010 Finals.

GTFOH Kobe shot 6-24 and grabbed 15 rebounds almost all defensive ones while gasol shot 6-16 and grabbed 18 rebounds (9 offensive). What i want to say with this is that kobe wasn't alone. He had gasol (hof lock), shooters like artest and odom, a x-factor like fisher and the most important one... Vujacic. (Kobe deserved the FMVP)

Kobe Bryant won his fifth and final ring at the perfect time. Winning against the Celtics, at Staples Center, game 7, leaving the 2000s on top and leading the NBA into the 2010s and passing the torch to LeBron. And having the perfect final game, at home, 60 points vs Jazz, still showing his desire to be better than Michael Jordan, 60 points meaning 6-0 in the Finals vs also against the Jazz. For all the people saying "Kobe didn't deserve Finals MVP" just because his shot was cold in Game 7 completely ignore the fact that no one really shot well that game (look it up), his index finger was injured, and he also impacted the game in other ways like defense, rebounding and getting to the foul line. And it's called "Finals MVP," not Game 7 MVP. Before Game 7, Kobe was shooting 43.2% from the field, 37.5% from 3, and 93.3% from the line. That's great efficiency playing against great defense in the NBA Finals against a team with arguably 4 All Stars. I'm also not even including his great averages when it comes to points, rebounds, steals, assists, etc...

It took him being 6 for 24 and staring at a double team in Game 7 only up three to finally make the proper pass. Artest literally said, "KOBE FINALLY PASSED ME THE BALL!" in the press conference after the game. If they had fed Gasol, who had the superior matchup, the series probably ends in five or six. Yeah bro same thing.I was 12 years old there and i didin't miss single finals since 2008 but so far this final better then everyone.Miami dallas was epic but this year was something else.I alsa cried watching this all good memories childhood time love of ball and fav player so far kobe. The world fucking so empty and nothing to worry about this Lie world.U cant know whats ur future going to or after 5 min later u cant predict the life. But im so happy to watch prime kobe.RIP Mamba we will always love you :(
Ya seen old kobe ya should of seen kobe in the late 90s and early 2000s legendary
Same here bro. I'm also 11 and most of my family are lakers fan. kobe is the reason i played basketball this 09-10 season I started copying kobe's moves
Facts bro I was the same age too, I felt this🕊💯
Hard to believe this was 10 years since the Lakers last won an NBA Title with Kobe Bryant and 10 years since we last saw the Lakers battle the Celtics in the NBA Finals God Bless You Kobe Bryant and Thank You for all your contributions to the NBA and to the World of Professional Sports R.I.P. Mamba
T-Bone Hubbard they’re winning this year. Lebron will channel the black mamba and bring the lakers back to greatness for Kobe.

I'm fortunate to have experience in my lifetime a Boston vs L.A. NBA finals, reaching a Game7 puts the cherry on top!

@Joel Johnson I'm a die-hard Boston fan but much respect he Lakers. I would love to see LeBron / Jaylen 💚🏀☘🔞
It's insane seeing the role players play with such aggression and grit 💯! You can tell Kobe drilled the mamba mentality into everyone he played with 🐍 🏆
Man that rebuild time was when that core group gelled after years of grinding. Sasha, Luke, Odom, Bynum…then the addition of Gasol….Fisher doing the Jazz dirty…great times…. Those last two championships were hard earned…Loved that team.
Damn...I was at my 8th grade end of year awards when this game was on...I got home and remember rushing to turn onto abc and it was end of 3rd quarter....gives me chills seeing Kobe extremely focused and intense
They got favored by the refs, it was so bad, Lakers should have lost this game, all those BS fouls that weren't fouls, put the Lakers on the line, unreal!
@Mrd9960 bruh don't make excuses celtics lost. They had they chance
Game 7 are dreams, night mares, roller coasters, nerve wrecking, heart breaking, and the whole world watches. We get to feel this again tomorrow. YES.

Great description Aaron D!

One of the most happiest days of my life, I got to witness greatness
kobe's greatness 🔥 6/24 fg 0-6 3pt fg. mamba mentality 🔥💥
Thanks for the YT algorithm, this series still makes me touched. The defense and competitiveness is real, no matter how the league have changed, it still brings me back to that perfect era. We miss Kobe so much… From 2023.
I have watched this shit like 30 times already. To bring me back to the glory days of the LA Lakers.

You can see the trust to their teammates that is Mamba Mentality 👍 RIP Kobe Bryant 🏀🏅 Best player of all time 🏆🥇
mamba mentality 🔥🔥 6/24 fg, 0-6 3pt fg
Attempting 24 shots and only hitting 6 of them, and only made 2 assists. I can see the trust on the teammates lmao
Luke walton with an outstanding double-double performance 25 highfives and 50 claps in this game
Chromel Alumel all for kobe shot attempts too*🤣
Hahaha
howard break that record during the okc vs miami finals
Y’all dumb for these stats
Atleast that time they support and respect each other, everytime lakers call a timeout they hug and give high five not like today's lakers lol
Im seeing a reminder here that Pau Gasol was truly elite at this point in his career
Was legit convo that Pau was the Finals MVP. Unspoken Laker legend
Hx
7 game series? Pau gasol? Nope! Kobe average 25 plus points in this series... on in game 7 run out of fuel.u cant give a finals mvp on 1 game.kobe desereved the trophy
Roy Gumban And Kobe played Phenomenal defense as he always does he was the best defender in the series
As a Kobe-Generation person growing up watching the Lakers golden days with Kobe Bryant, this is the best Lakers game ever I watched. This will never be forgotten.
As a laker fan its hard not to get emotional especially since bryants passing thank you for the memories
Man remember when he got drafted and traded to the Lake Show….97 vs the Jazz….to Shaq….then the rebuild….the grind…then Gasol Odom Artest Ariza….Lol Phil fkn Jackson……first 3 were awesome, the last two were truly earned….special time and place…
One of the best series of all time.... really appreciate now that I look book at the current state of the NBA.
2008-2010 was the best years of modern day basketball
JasonHoang TRUE, then the heat trade happened and it all went downhill. No more classics.
Nah I don't believe that. The Mavericks and Spurs have given the heat a run for their money
k
doctorcpa1 So the game 7 of Heat and Spurs wasn't a classic? Cmon that was one of the best finals ever
Wish we could turn back time, to the good old days.

One the best game 7 of all time 🔥
Watching this at 4am. I miss Kobe so much. Shaped so much of my childhood. Year after year of watching him and this is all we have left. RIP Mamba.
This is the best defensive display on a Game 7 Finals. Bruh both teams are willing to die just to win.
Soopafly nba is not like this anymore believr that
LeBron’s in 2016 was just as good, if not better. When he blocked Iguodala like that, you know he was willing to die to win.
Best defense? They only showed a couple blocks and Kobe shootimg very contested shots.
Ernesto Diaz this is only the highlights not the whole game..watch the whole game instead of yelling your ass in a youtube comment without knowing the whole detail

Haters only see one bad game 😅
I never knew kobe have basketball I.Q that way bricks shot is that basketball I.Q ?
Androssi Zahard your IQ is not that good.
Victor Oladipo that's an understatement
GTFOH Kobe shot 6-24 and grabbed 15 rebounds almost all defensive ones while gasol shot 6-16 and grabbed 18 rebounds (9 offensive). What i want to say with this is that kobe wasn't alone. He had gasol (hof lock), shooters like artest and odom, a x-factor like fisher and the most important one... Vujacic. (Kobe deserved the FMVP)
This legit brought tears to my eyes man. Kobe Bryant is so loved, and such a legend. RIP mamba and Gigi.
Back when the world was right. Still can't believe I'm saying this but R.I.P Kob. We miss and love you bruh. 💜
One of the happiest days of my life. Missed grad night for this game. No regrets
Arnold Matthews lakerssss
You made the right choice fuck grad night lol
I literally can’t believe how you would feel if they lost
FUCK GRAD NIGHT HAHAHAHHAA
Arnold Matthews idk, my grad night was one of the best nights of my life 🙏🏼
Every time im sad, because of the Lakers' bad seasons, I just come back here and watch these past great moments. I remember every finals games, my dad wouldn't go to work and I wouldn't go to school, just so we could watch the Lakers win championships. Despite being born in 2000, ive loved the Lakers longer than I can remember. I hope the Lakers can get back on track, and get Kobe his 6th ring. Go Lakers!!
Obviously they will come back and win more championships, I'm a celtics fan and either though we're in the playoffs I still know that they will get knocked out in the first round, I really don't even wanna make the playoffs anyway, but honestly I don't think Kobe has a chance of winning his 6th ring...if he comes back next season, that'll be his last season for sure. I'm sorry to say it bro. One day the celtics and lakers will be back in the finals head to to in another classic, amazing round of 7 series that I can't wait for!!!
Yea im a Clippers fan but I have a lot of respect to Lakers fans cause obviously they won more 16 titles I think while the Clippers never won one yet. But I have faith that you guys will win another championship
Sorry for the bad English
Russel Tayson i can understand your feelings. Cz i come to see it by the same reason. keep healthy, go lakers.
Russel Tayson Why would y'all stay home if the games were at like 7 at night. smh
Look at Sasha eyes,Stand firmly to bring champs to Lakers!Proud as Lakers Nation when watching live to this game!!!!

Kobe's last field goal in this game was a pull up jumper towards the elbow...Kobe's last field goal in his final game was a pull up jumper towards the elbow... Then to have Lamar outlet the ball ahead to Kobe to run out the clock...and then to have Kobe be the one to outlet the ball to Clarkson to seal the win for his farewell... Amazing.
💯🔥
+bmorebruh this means Clarkson is the next great laker
jelloangelo wooooooooww
Last point im this finals from the ft Last point in his final game from the ft
Saved by Ron Artest! Kobe had below average performance in this game. Without RA idk if they won this series.
The game always bring me nostalgia , the time when I was 11 years old watching the Finals at my friend’s house eating pizza. Shouting “ Let’s Go Kobe “ after every shot he made or took. Thank you Kobe for the memories you brought to me through watching you play.
The nba in the 2000-2010's was peak basketball
I forgot Kobe shooting free throws are ONE OF THE BEST PLAYS OF A GAME 7
:D
Yup CLUTCH
StCShortFilms If he missed few of those they would have lost
+StCShortFilms if you dont think free throws are relevant in a huge game then you dont know basketball. Not to mention the fact that he made a lot of them.
The refs were the real mvp for lakers in game 7
Kobe Bryant won his fifth and final ring at the perfect time. Winning against the Celtics, at Staples Center, game 7, leaving the 2000s on top and leading the NBA into the 2010s and passing the torch to LeBron. And having the perfect final game, at home, 60 points vs Jazz, still showing his desire to be better than Michael Jordan, 60 points meaning 6-0 in the Finals vs also against the Jazz. Both hit game winners vs Jazz. He was just incredible at what he did.
Checked out vs. Utah with 4.1 on the clock, passes away at 41.
Kobe jersey number 24 and his lil girl Gigi wore number 2...24+2=26...they passed away 1/26!

dude... the second play where they fought for the rebound oh my goodness. this is the type of basketball i love to see... straight chills
R.I.P. Kobe Bryant. NBA Legend. The game will never see someone like you again. I'm at a loss of words...

he's not the greatest, but he is top 5 lakers of all time

KZhead is like a time machine for everything! Sports, Music, News, Memories, History, and all of the above! I miss Kobe & Gianna Bryant:( May they rest in peace & be remembered forever!! God bless!! Make World Peace!
Kobe didn’t have the best scoring night of his life. But any basketball fan can see he was still far and away the best player on the floor that night. He flat out refused to lose this game.
To tell the truth that night Gasol was the best by far, probably It was the worst Game of Kobe. But even when it was his worst game he was really important to win that night, that shows that he was absolutely the best basketball player
Kobe never gave up, missing shots but played his heart out on defence. Actually it was the clutch play of Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) really wanted that first and only championship who stepped his game up. Pau Gasol was the rebounding machine.
Statistically it was a rough slog of a match for every player on both teams. It was a test of wills and was beautiful to watch.
@@viktorcheng2061see how many times he was at the line!? Why is that... Bc Boston was playing him tough. So when that happens you do something else and he did. Boards and he nailet his fts. Goated.

In my opinion, the 2010 NBA finals will go down as the greatest NBA Finals of the 21st century. No one will ever touch that greatness of a series ever.
Pumpkin GuineaPig but the thing is, it doesn't had that iconic moment like other finals have. 98' had "The Shot". 2016 finals had "The Block". This game had what? "The freethrows" ???? Kobe and the crew got bailed out by the refs in this game to be honest. Its good for the business though so I'm not blaming NBA, Lakers was the most beloved team back then....
2016 Finals were way better. You had the block, game 5 Lebron and Kyrie both going for 40, back to back 40 point games by Lebron, the shot with a minute left in game 7 by Kyrie, etc...etc..... Only really memorable moment of 2010 was the shot by Artest.

Thats a game 7! Every position is very intense 🔥 Salute to Mike Breen for putting the game on fire on his wild commentary.
One of my favs to look back on
For all the people saying "Kobe didn't deserve Finals MVP" just because his shot was cold in Game 7 completely ignore the fact that no one really shot well that game (look it up), his index finger was injured, and he also impacted the game in other ways like defense, rebounding and getting to the foul line.
Kobe also scored 10 points in the 4th quarter in game 7, highest in the 4th quarter
And he had 16 rebounds as a guard. He deserved every bit of that FMVP
Lakers have arguably 5 all stars. They are on par
warriors will crushed these celtics and lakers
Inday Garutay warriors wouldn’t last with this defense played game 7 or the 00’s
Mike Breen is the best commentator ever this guy makes games so intense.

very sweet revenge,that was awesome
Celtics 6 game series win is still better than Lakers' in 2010.
Look at the score, my goodness. I miss old school basketball.
When they scored it was meaningful
Defense is the key.. multiple blocked shots.. neither lakers or the celtics wants the other to score both teams came to compete.. unlike now.. just pure offense with trash defense.. :(
Defense is competition, hard dirty work, sweat. Offense is more about imagination and chance.
Old school....?
Old school is general words mean old oldest
The last battle of my favorite finals war. Respect for the 2010 Cetlics. They were real men. This was the Lakers' toughest chip and is IMO the most underrated series in NBA history. A very banged up Kobe didn't have his stroke that day so he trusted his team and lead when his individual skills were off. Gasol and Ron Artest/MWP seriously rose to the challenge and stepped up. What a great team victory against a truly great team. I miss this kind fo NBA competition. RIP Kobe and Gigi.

@@mikemoggerson6651 hater. What's lebron's free throw % in the last 2 minutes of a game versus Kobe's? Since we want to talk clutch. What about who has the most wins in the playoffs vs 50 win teams? And who has more rings in less tries? All the stats that really matter Kobe masters. You can keep the buzzer beater statline. I'd rather have a guy knocking off top tier teams in each round of the playoffs on his way to dominate the entire league not just a conference for ten years, going to the finals 7 times and winning 5. Oh and don't forget the Lakers were down 3-2 this series and won game 6 in Boston thanks to Kobe's 38 on the road. Even in this game he was the leading scorer and rebounder on both teams. And no one but arterst shot a good % that's out of both teams. Oh and who just got another loss in the playoffs to a 50 win team??? Leswept

SK yeah but they need 09 or 10 Lakers
I have the 09 and 10 lakers thru the dest roster
Its a legit roster my fave is the 09
SERIOUSLY, I've been screaming it for years this Lakers team should be on 2k, its one of the weirdest gaps in the otherwise great classic team lineup
And people say Kobe never fully trusted his teammates..
Quentin Williams oh how wrong they wAs 😉
Daniel Barwatt Hell I wouldn't either straight trash 👎
It took him being 6 for 24 and staring at a double team in Game 7 only up three to finally make the proper pass. Artest literally said, "KOBE FINALLY PASSED ME THE BALL!" in the press conference after the game. If they had fed Gasol, who had the superior matchup, the series probably ends in five or six. But that might have meant someone other than Kobe getting the recognition and after Shaq, Kobe would rather lose his way than win with someone else getting credit.
Manu Ginobilis Bald Spot Yeah Kobe is ball dominant. No denying that. Simply put if the Lakers lose he'd rather it be his fault than his teammates making a bonehead mistake. Not everyone is ready for the spotlight.
Especially in a game seven shooting under 35%
