The Impossible Shot - Amazing Bird Photography in Norway - 14 Days Adventure, Birds of Prey, Camping
I am in Norway to do bird photography, and this time it is very challenging.
During this two-week adventure we are photographing birds of prey, climbing a mountain and camping in the wild nature of Norway.
I'm in great company though because I am visiting Jostein Hellevik - also known as Fotobonden.

This video made me cry. I don’t know why… Probably because it was so wholesome and a distraction from the hardship of my life. For over an hour I go to leave this world behind and get lost in the peaceful narrative of two life long best friend who I feel like I got to know too. As a photographer as well, I believe that this is what humanity needs more of do you agree?❤❤❤

Hi, morten. Myself Nabarun Roy from India. U know ur videos r so pure just like ur soul. Every Night i go to bed while watching ur videos so that i get good dreams of meeting u someday and capture those lovely moments of nature. The most important moment in this video when the 1st osprey picked up the fish and in the midair it was hovering and shaked its head which caused the blurry effect of water droplets. Thanks a lot. BTW which lens u r using in this video.
your right it effected me the same way tears to my eyes ,im a photographer to but suffering a little with my health so not as fit as should be, it was a great video.

Oh my god! I felt the same way. I just felt a wave of happiness and well-being at the end. I’m 65 and spent my first time birding earlier this week. One of my best experiences ever ❤ I’m now hooked on Morton’s videos and work
How on earth can it be possible to 1) take excellent photos and videos of an osprey, 2) film yourself while doing so, and 3) basically make a behind the scenes of behind the scenes and all that in such immense quality?! This is just insane 😯🤩

This is what bird photography is all about. My wife tells me that I am like a child on Christmas morning when the photos I have wanted to get, really happens. This video is so well done, and I am glad to see other people similar to my age truly enjoy every moment of their efforts. While at 70 I am not as agile as I used to be, anything I can do, I go for. Congratulations to the both of you. To all bird and wildlife photographers out there, this is what we live for !

The final moment when you got the shot of the Osprey in the water. Wow, It gave me goosebumps and I must admit a few tears of joy. This is one of the best films I've seen in a long time. This has inspired me to up my game. The pictures are beyond amazing. Thank you Morten and a big thank you to your co-host Jostein. A film worthy of an award!!

This is no less than an adventure movie or a full fledged documentary. Amazing narration, amazing shots and especially that music is cherry on top. I learned this is not the blossom of the flower but it is caused by a gall wasp (Diplolepis Rosea). Very interesting to learn this. So thanks!

See an image in your head, choose the location, work out how youre going to get the shot, put a load of time into the project and have a damned good time in the process!! that moment when Jostein starts saying "Yes yes yes!" and you see the osprey come down, with the backlight highlighting its feathers, I had the biggest smile on my face for you guys! That made me so happy, after seeing the hardship you went through to get the shot. Was magical. Thank you.
Your videos are an inspiration to me. Now I really see how very difficult it is to photograph birds. This bird does not live in our country, but I realized that I will have to invest more time in the field.
This video really makes you feel the tension and the reward of wildlife photgraphy. I ended up probably as excited as you for the beauty of the conditions, that crisp norwegian morning, to perfectly frame your incredible osprey footage. And how priceless it is to have friends like Jostein to host you and guide you in their place. This content is just perfect.

Love this video...especially because Vråliosen was the place where I was imprinted on the Nordic nature 54 years ago when I was on holiday there with my parents from Denmark. I luckily succeeded in infecting my wife with this love for the Nordic nature 30 years later in the same place...and we will soon go back on a photo tour if we can get a place at Jostein's.

Wow my friend this video is simply beautiful! An OWL! i hadn't suspected that!!! LOL! What a climb also, the strange flower was a Wasp Gall called a robins pincushion which would be on a dog rose, amazing to see that right up there! PS: I must say your hiking trip with Jostein reminded me greatly of me and my bestfriend hiking together every time, you had so much fun, as we do every time. It brought a wave of memories. Absolutely amazing! The pinnacle of wildlife photography. I am flabbergasted to see the final four shots taken with a 24-70. The planning was outstanding, because it was able to get the osprey just 3 to 4 meters in front of the camera. Perfection is the right word! It can't get any better than this. The technique of Morten and the wisdom of Jostein, together are unbeatable. And congratulations for using two lenses that aren't "snob" at all, but rather accessible to a wide range of photographers (the Z 24-70 and the Z 180-600). Looking forward to the behind the scenes.
