  • Cats' tongue. When I was a lot younger, I had a bad fever. I was covered in thick blankets and still felt cold. My black cat, Squirt, was the alpha and usually kept to herself. My cat knew how much I was in pain and decided to lie on my chest. She tucked in her arms and started purring. It relaxed me, made me feel warmer, and I fell asleep. Then, my nose started to run. She crawled up to my face and began licking the tip of my nose. Waking up, I pushed her away with what strength I had left. She laid back on my chest, started purring again, and made me go back to sleep. The next day, I was better. My mom looked at me and said, "Why is there a scab on your nose?" Yep ... my cat cleaned the skin off my nose and helped me through the fever. 🤭

    • Helpful hope yeah when I had a headache once I let my cat in the room and he layed down right next to my face and purred, my mom had told me a cat's purr heals you because of it's frequency and surprisingly it worked and my headache went away, I think cats are better than dogs

  • Fun fact. In 1994 is was bitten by a feral kitten. The rangers cleaned up the wounds and advised that even if they captured an orange kitten, there was no way to make sure it was "my" kitten. They recommended I go straight to the emergency room and get rabies shots. Oh, and did I mention I was pregnant at the time and NO research has ever been done, either with lab rats or rabbits, so they had no idea if it could effect my baby but, if I didn't get them and I was exposed to rabbies and developed into symptoms, it would be too late to treat me and we'd lose me and my baby girl. So, I got them. 1st set in the buttocks and the rest of them in my arms (they no longer give them to your tummy). It all turned out alright. I have a healthy daughter and my ER doc said he was going to write a paper about us. And the final note I'm bolstered for life with only needing 1set of shots to reactivate the original boosters I got way back when in 1994. Not that I'm EVER going to try to capture another feral animal lol

  • This comment is for 7:19 in the video. Another really weird thing about lampreys that scientists discovered when studying them. Is that they're oddly repelled specifically by certain kinds of man's spit. It doesn't exactly work for everybody, it probably has to do with what the person eats or smokes. But it's pretty damn weird you could spit into a bucket of lampreys and they all jump out. ✌️

  • ‘Cat scratch fever’ is one disease that is very important for all pregnant women to know about. Medically known as Toxoplasmosis, it can be very damaging to the unborn baby - - especially during the first 3 months of development. A coworker friend who was not near nor had ever emptied cat litter box but when her child was born, many many seizures and retardation. Her now grown daughter, has the mental maturity of a preschooler - - except can not read, write, nor ever take care of herself.

In hospital for 4 days on the strongest antibiotics they had and still almost lost my arm. A puncture injury like that does not allow the bacteria to be totally cleaned out, the holes close up almost immediately and trap the bacteria under the skin.

  • I had to receive the rabies vaccines a few months ago and the most brutal was the RIG (rabies immunoglobulin) as that has to be injected around the wound site - in this case, the palm of my hand which is packed with nerve endings. After 'fishing' the needle around the open wound, the site had doubled in size from the swelling and added liquid. ...Still worth not worrying myself into a panic attack about dying a horrifically painful, inevitable death though! Especially considering it can stay dormant up to a decade, then surprise, the dog bite a guy gets during a trip to Brazil 8 years prior earlier kills him

Either way, I'm sure they do not need nor care about you correcting their grammer, spelling, punctuation, etc. The awesome thing about the internet is the very simple ability to keep scrolling/reading past comments without the need for you to comment on their comment..and yes I know I'm commenting on your comment but my goal is to point out you don't need to be a rude and condescending prick to anyone whatsoever. You don't need to let people know "they are dumb" or put your haughty opinion anywhere out there if you are doing it to be a smart ass douche. You can just keep on keeping on and keep your quips to yourself. It's just so hateful and makes you look like a miserable cold hearted person when you put someone down just cause you can.. so freaking sad the world is full of self righteous punks like you who get joy out of being a snooty b**** to complete strangers. Disgusting and quite pathetic. Karma will find you my friend. Have a fantastic day!

  • I have skin lupus and a few years ago, my neighbor’s 6 long haired chihuahuas converged on me licking and sucking each of the open sores I had at the time on my arms, which made me feel a little awkward but my neighbor insisted on me allowing them to continue doing that which went on for at least a half hour. When they were finished, my arms looked immensely better and within a day and a half after that, all the sores were healed!

    • That is ridiculous! First of all never let an animal eat from the same plate as you, The bacteria that they pass on can kill you. And second it's common knowledge to never allow an animal to lick you, you're just playing with your life at that point.
