  • I actually have cousin who had a story of his own On 6/15/2023, a tornado hit my town (Perryton, TX) and it hit the trailer park where him (Byron Ramirez) and his little brother (Matthew Ramirez) used to live and when the tornado pick them up, his brother sadly passed away while he survived with minor injuries including brain damage and a concussion since a water boiler fell on his head and after the tornado, emergency rushed for all injured and dead victims including him and his brother to rush them to different hospitals and to remind family members about their loved ones who passed away. My cousin was sent to Amarillo and had to get several surgeries and was finally good, he was able to walk again and never knew his brother passed away until a month later, his mom told him about Matthew. He's doing great and moved to his new house a month and a half ago and his mom had to give away her restaurant (Los Charros) so she would never lose another child again.

With lanes occupied nobody could switch lanes as quickly as the random tire. It took one more bounce and landed on the hood of my sons car. It came to a screeching halt, distroying the engine. Now I was upset because I had an online event to be at and she INSISTED I move out this day, even though she had insisted I NOT move out two weeks prior on singing the lease. "Slow burn" she called it. Well I was pissed and floored the pickup, which caused the wooden frame to fly out of the OPEN back and shatter. "Whatever" she said. Made me drive down the highway, and not even halfway down the 20 mile way, the unanchored mattress flew out and into the ditch, after which I not only had to hoist it back into the pickup bed, I then had to drive on the shoulder with the hazards on the next 10 miles. x,x

  • My mother almost died in a car accident two years ago this month. She was driving and a car came up to her blind spot and honked their horn. Mom got so startled that she turned the wheel a bit too hard and sent herself flying. The car rolled over twice and landed upside-down. Mom was lucky to be wearing a seat belt because the firefighters (or ambulance workers. I don't remember that part) told her "If you weren't wearing your seat belt, your accident would have been fatal" This all happened when me and my brother were at school. Our adult brother told us a while after we got inside. We were so worried for her. Her finger got bent a bit weirdly (never to be fully healed) and a little bruised, but other than that, she made a full recovery💕 (Me and my brother were in late Elementary school then)

That was nothing compared to when a random tire came bouncing over the medium of the road from the other side of traffic. If my dad didn't swerve into the other lane, it would have hit us. Thankfully traffic on our side was basically nonexistent, so no one was in the other lane or behind us for the tire to hit.

  • This just made me think about an other incident. Pls make a part 2 for this. On September 3rd 2006, a bunch of youths from Kerala, India known as manjummel boys left for a trip to kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. There the went to a cave named guna(named after a Tamil movie). This cave was known as “the devil’s kitchen” before mainly because everyone who fell in there never made it out. At that day it was closed and people could not go in there but these guys jumped through some gates and made it there. But then disaster strikes, one of them named Subash fell in the cave. He got stuck to something which stopped him from falling all the way down. He was alive but unconscious. It was dark in there and there were so many curves preventing those In the top from seeing through. After many tries of calling him and trying to make him respond, the guide and the security there confirmed that he was dead. Later he finally woke up and fortunately for him his friend were still up there trying to get him conscious. Then they brought fire fighters and confirmed that he was the first person to be alive after falling in that cave. But the fire fighters were not ready to co down the cave and bring him back up. But his friend Siju was ready to go down there for his childhood friend. He went down there and though many other bad things happened, he came back with Subash making him the first person to come out of that cave. A movie about this incident was released in 2024. Please try watching that move for more detailed information. Really appreciate if you made a part two of this with this incidedent

  • I was rushing to get dressed from having my shower to go out to babysit my little cousins when I tripped in my bed room, fell out of my bedroom door and nearly smacked my head on a cubbard door. I was millimeters away from knocking myself out! It still shocks me to this day that it happened! I could have seriously been hurt, and as I live by myself in a 1 bed flat, I worry about what could have happened.

That brain larva one got to me, because I’m having an MRI of my head on 17 April ‘24 due to severe headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, memory issues and switching from left to right handed all of a sudden. Glad I’m getting that test now. That cobalt mine accident reminded me of my mom (R.I.P. mom 🥰) and the cobalt treatments she had to have in the 1970’s to try to cure her breast/bone cancer. Didn’t work.

  • *stares at that last one* It's amazing what the human body can survive. Not experienced any close calls, myself. But my brother rolled his car once when he was in the twenties. Boy had something of a lead foot, and was headed home on a twisty hilly backroad through rural forest. He hit a curve too fast, rolled his Blazer completely over so it landed back on the tires at the bottom of the embankment. (This specific curve had killed multiple people before, so it was a known bad spot.) When the Blazer was dropped off at home (via tow truck), Mom actually collapsed to the group upon seeing it. The driver's side windshield and roof were all smashed in to the point she thought for sure my brother had suffered a serious head injury. (The photos I took don't do justice to the in-person "OMG" factor.) The miracle is that my brother walked away from the wreck with only a few very minor scratches. The EMS peeps were amazed at his lack of injury. It's a good thing he was wearing his seatbelt. He would not have survived without it. So, yeah, my brother's speeding habit nearly killed him, but he walked away with a better understanding of when not to hit the gas pedal.

He was ducking in case the tree hit his truck. By pure luck by the wind the tree didn't hit him but the wind moved it out of the way. But I can't remember if something hit it out the way or it was the tree. But he was very lucky.

  • A story you might be interested in covering for a future episode of this series is a man named Nathan who was the victim of his electric Jaguar i-Pace car that went rogue on a motorway and got up to almost 100mph with him unable to break or decelerate, only steer. He had to call the police and they had to come and perform a sort of box manoeuvre to try and get the car to stop. It only did when the battery gave out and he had to run into the back of the police car several times to aid in stopping. What's worse is this particular incident wasn't the first time this had happened.

Also many years ago I was on a road with a friend when a car on the other side rammed into a signpost which fell on to our side of the road. Luckily my friend was driving just fast enough for us to be hit.

The chemistry nerds are now cringing, because they know what's coming. Yeah, I inadvertently created Hydrazine in my own toilet bowl. Started coughing within seconds. Ran out, turned on the fan and opened all the windows, plus the oven ventilation fan. Told a friend who works at NASA as an Engineer and they said "What the hell were you thinking!?" And I answered honestly "Ammonia good for cleaning floor, so also good for cleaning toilet?" Uh... yeah, I did a dumb.
