Over the years the Hummer has seen many changes. For the 2023 model year, GMC rolled out the Hummer EV in SUV and Truck formats. To say the latest version of the Hummer is high-tech would be no understatement. Interesting features do not end with technology. Additionally, the Hummer EV SUV is practical with a reasonable amount of cargo and passenger space. However, with a pricetag over 100k is it worth every penny? • 300 miles before changing sounds good but we now know that they suggest recharging before you hit 20% left and 80% charge is optimal. So that is 40% less than the 300 miles.

  • I notice that with a 75% charge it was only showing a range of 150 miles. A full charge surely won’t get you 300miles. If you can’t go at least 250 mi going at speed it’s a big problem

    @ronaldbays4005@ronaldbays40056 ай бұрын
    • It's only got 4 miles on it so it hasn't been "trained" by the driver's foot for estimating range. On the 22's these will get 310-320ish miles 100-0%, with the off-road package 18's that drops to 280-290. Then, when you take into account GM only recommends charging over 80% when you absolutely need it for long stints in non-hilly areas, you're looking at about 250 miles at 80%. Then you factor in that you don't run an EV to 0%, you usually drive until 10-20% then charge, you're looking at 200-220 miles if you keep it in that window. Same with all EVs, "range" is 100%-0% but under normal circumstances you take that number and 60-70% of it is what you actually get to work with on a regular basis. And those are worst case, 70-80mph interstate driving. You'll get way more below 60 and around the city where wind resistance doesn't come into play. So when you see something like the EV6 GT getting 206 miles on a charge, that means realistically you're getting 120-140 miles of range in one of those, which is why it's the biggest complaint about that car.
