Perth is way more affordable and a much more relaxed place to live in. The reason people end up in Sydney and Melbourne is because they want to stay close to family and relatives or that's where they just ended up for work or study reasons. Public transport in Sydney CBD is also better then Perth and only crowded during new years eve fireworks or train strikes. Work from home culture is never going away and Sydney transport is no longer crowded like it used to be. Great video BTW :) A+
Thank you, appreciate your comment 😊
I migrated to Perth 50 years ago and continue to live here. It is a great city.
It definitely is (:
Hello from singapore! I enjoyed your videos highlighting the differences between life in perth and sg which are really insightful! Hope you continue to do more videos sharing about your journey. It is inspiring to see you take action to create the life you want. Best wishes!
PS DID YOU GUYS KNOW SINGAPOREANS IS THE 2nd LARGEST COMMUNITY IN PERTH? It’s right behind Malaysians. Our community is huge here, but not as huge as our neighbour haha. Basically if you go anywhere in Perth (esp city), you can easily spot a Singaporean(:
That is weird but it's the 6th largest country of birth. 42nd largest by ancestry, which means it's a recent trend or people don't stay. Pity you didn't choose Brisbane which is superior in every way.
Perth is the best I used to live there until I went more down south
Agreed! Do you have any favourite places to go in Perth?
@@skyearthyx I like a speed boat that was in Fremantle you should visit it it was really fun. And you should get some spare cloths if you go
@@68kWeetbix oooo sounds fun!! Will check it out (:
PLEASE which beach is that at 00:25?
It’s one of the beaches in Esperance
Thankyou for a really informative video I'm Aussie and never been to Singapore
Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed it! What other topics should I cover?
@3:53 Singaporean here. SG is essentially a mini-China and if think its the best, you obviously never been to China. The trains have 1 minute frequencies and so high tech.. Cheers!
The news says a lot of unemployment, corrupt fining, lost investments stolen by banks, tofu-dreg cities, property collapse, internet restrictions, no government criticism allowed, dog eating.. any of that true?
Hi fellow Singaporean! Definitely there are countries with efficient transportation too 😄 What’s your favourite place in China?
Where is all that happening?
reason singapore has a good public transport system, its to do with scale. Singapore is tiny (702km2) vs perth (6500+km2) in terms of area, nearly 10 times the size. Singapore is a city state country all in one. Perth is a city in a State that makes up the western half of the continent. Hence cost to build transport networks is cheaper over there as nodes and locations are closer. not to mention cheap labour there too as most construction workers are either from bangladesh/india/nepal. We are getting there in terms of public transport, it will take time as population grows.
Perth is also known as Singaperth. Hordes of Singaporeans congregate there.
Congregate where exactly? 🤔
I've travelled all around Australia and many major and smaller sizes cities in Europe and I think Perth and Western Australia wins hands down, but then I'm bias I live here. You're right in point there is plenty to do especially if your active and in to outdoors activities. Personally I love the wild life, it's everywhere. But I think the most endearing thing is the culture where no matter where you come from in the world you are judged by your character nothing else. I live in a street with probably 20 different cultures and that's the norm. A walk along the 5 kms of restaurants and bars in Victoria and East Victoria park and take a pick of many different cultures cuisines from some 200 nationalities. The smells of different foods fill the air and it is such a treat to explore. But best of all is the isolation. The world is in turmoil and we are a long way from all the problems but I'm not talking about that type of isolation. I'm talking about real isolation hundreds of kilometers from everything. That sense of being totally alone and no one, no cars, no people, no shops, no taps for water nothing but the quiet, interrupted only by the calls of the abundant wildlife. Once you get used to it the process of merging with nature begins. You look up in to a clear night sky and you even feel part of the cosmos, just breath taking. But above all else it is a family city geared for families, it's not a tourist city as such. So no matter which way you explore there is always accommodation for families and heaps of things for kids to enjoy and the most fun places are free. My pick Penguin Island, especially in sea gull nesting season. Between thousands of squawking sea gulls, skink lizards trying to steal their eggs, penguins breading, dolphins, a resident sea lion and of course tiny fairy penguins in the sanctuary, beautiful shaded picnic areas and a short inexpensive boat ride to the island it's a delightful and action packed day out that the kids will love. Thanks again young lady that was nice.
I wholeheartedly agree with what you said, Perth is a special place. Thanks for leaving your thoughts, appreciate it. 😊
There are many places around Sydney. Only the silly choose to live in Sydney...it's a nightmare.
Agreed. What’s the best suburb near Sydney in your opinion?
@@skyearthyx Central Coast, South of Wollongong and the Blue Mountains. IMHO, anywhere near the water. Easy to do a day trip to Sydney CBD. But do note that many Asians, especially the Young ones, like a crowded city.
Coming back to Singapore?
Not anytime soon 😅
I'm born in Melbourne, Australia and I hate it, it's just too big, too many people and Sydney I also hate, too big population I love Adelaide and Hobart, more suitable for me
Im One of them who wants to keep Perth a low profile....So Stop Showcasing Perth to the World, I like it just the way it is... We dont need more population, As it is, its getting worst here thanks to you.....
Okay 🤫
Perth was paradise when it had less than 1 million people. Poor people lived near the beach and the river and still just 15 or 20 mins from the centre. 35 years later we have 3 million living here and poor people are stuck in tiny flats or way out in the wastelands of the outer suburbs. Still a fabulous city, but sadly getting bigger and denser by the day.
Compared to Singapore where I’m from, it’s not that dense. Still is paradise now, but don’t know about the future 🤔

Thank you so much! Your comment made my day. It definitely took me sometime to adapt to Perth when I first came here (ps I LOVE Singapore). After some time, I actually feel that Perth is such an uncovered gem! Will definitely share more of it with others 😊
