  • Maddie and her mum get to eat the best honey available, straight from the hive. Not diluted or changed in any way, just pure sweet goodness that only mother nature can deliver. And for the curious type, working with bees is fascinating!

  • Disclaimer: My mum and I have been keeping bees for 3 years, are both well read and have completed beekeeping courses, but we are by no means experts. We make sure the bees are healthy but try not to interfere with them too much. We welcome any advice and tips from fellow beekeepers and always recommend getting a second opinion as our knowledge is limited :-)

    • Maddie Moate Fresh, homegrown honey is amazing, isn't it? Great job on the harvest. Do you do anything with the wax that you removed from the frames? I've seen candles made from it, but it looked pretty time-consuming. While it would make a good bee/honey-related video, I don't know if it would be worth all of the time spent. You and your mom are doing great with the bees. Thanks for sharing the videos with us. -

  • I’ve started researching more about honey bees 🐝 and i never knew how much more work they do. Bee Bread, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly and Propolis. I’ve had them all and still have some of each but I haven’t tried the Propolis just yet. The benefits of the Bee 🐝 is untouchable. I started watching KZhead videos for further research and this is the one I came across and I’ve watched it so many times. I learned a lot from your channel within a two week span. Thank you for keeping our Bees and teaching others how to harvest. They are a huge part of nature and we all should return back to nature for health reasons. Great video by the way. @AllgoodthingsTv@AllgoodthingsTv6 жыл бұрын

    • 5 jars from about 6 frames. These two hives have already produced about 30 jars this year :-)

  • I dont use a brush. I use a feather cause the bees will not get stuck in it so easly as in the brush. It also wont damage their hony cells Also i wont recommend to use the smoker to much when aiming directly on the honey cells because the smell and taste of the smoke will go in the honey. I dont want to sound rude or something, i just want to share what i know and maybe it helps when you work with your bees. (Sorry if my Englisch isnt 100% correct im only 14 and still learning Englisch)

  • Natural honey the reason why nobody wants to do it because some of us are terrified of bees which is me but why buy the natural honey from a store which cost like 50$ when you can get your own ? Pretty sticky situation very . But the golden honey though 😍😍

  • *Bee's 🐝* are hard working insects. They're the most valuable insect in life and serve a huge purpose. If you see a bee/bee's.. get out of it's way. Not to be scared, they're just very busy!

  • So much going on there Maddie. You love your bees that's brilliant. Warm your frames in a greenhouse or car in the sun when you harvest on a cold day. The honey will flow much better and you will soon out your frames easier without wrecking them either! I run 28 hives in Germany and my kids love you on CBeebies

    • Also take off all the honey and replace it with sugar water - hives overwintered on sugar water have fewer issues with nosema. (Especially those overwintered on dark honey)

  • Your gate valve on the extractor is up=side down.. Just turn the cover so the handle is on the left side. When you open the valve the handle will be lifted away from the honey flow.
