In June 2022 I had my first package of bees arrive in my own back garden! I've helped my mum look after bees for years (some of you have seen lots of our videos already) but this was the FIRST time I have ever had bees of my own. When I filmed this, the priority was making sure that the bees were happy and calm, however we filmed as much as possible so you can get a sense of what the process is like.
(If you are interested in getting bees of your own please consult an expert and consider enrolling in a beekeeping course. KZhead videos are fun to watch but shouldn't be your only guide.)
You're so cool, Maddie. I enjoyed watching your Do You Know? series.
I see you videos! Im Korean, and first I saw your video in epic! thank you for made videos!
When I saw that you were on youtube, I almost cried! You we're my entire childhood!
Really looking forward to future beekeeping videos! Also you have a really beautiful hive, much nicer than others I've seen
Bet your neighbors are thrilled! ;)
Hi Maddie I am a huge fan of your videos and tv show you are AMAZING Lady
Fantastic news! Well done, Maddie! I am your biggest fan. Hope your bees are all right.
I just learning about bees and a future own package. Thanks for your videos and greetings from the south of Chile
Wooooo. Go bees. Love the bee videos. SO COOL. Great job :)
That’s so cool! My mom really wants to harvest bees 🐝
Super job on the sound, like they were buzzing round my head!
Hi Maddie I love your videos! I have been watching you for 5 years
Yay! Can't wait to follow your bee journey, Maddie! Your best vlogs!
Yay! Thank you!
This is so interesting! I thought sugar water was only a one time solution for a dehydrated bee. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful little bees🐝🐝Thanks for the video!
Thank you too x
As a beekeeper myself, I'm so happy for you guys! Enjoy
Thank you!
Thanks
Thanks, I found this really interesting as I’ve never seen one set up before!
My mom loves bees and I need this!
Loved seeing this, Maddie! So educational! I had no idea that beehives were so intricate. I sure hope you don't get huge wind gusts there, as it seems like the various levels and frames aren't tightly secured. I can't wait to see how well the hive is doing after a couple of months. Harvesting the honey will be sweet. Literally!
Awesome!!
If you ever get a chance to visit the Amazon rainforest, can you try to get footage of the supposedly loud booming sound that a cannonball fruit makes when it falls from the tree? That's how the cannonball tree got its name.
If we can afford it we'll get a hive this year. Really looking forward to it.
Amazing
awesome. keep us posted.
the boys❤
Sounds fun!
Hi Maddie i am looking forward to learning about keeping Bees. We want a Hive or a few Hives for when we move.
Where did you get your hive from? Is there an online store where I can buy a similar hive? I'm in the US
Fascinating, thanks.
Our pleasure!
Awesome video! You look like Kate Middleton.
How far do the bees have to fly to find enough flowers? I assume you need some fields or a forest close by.
Love your hive, what brand is it? I’m in upstate NY and haven’t seen this style of hive.
Its a WBC hive. A traditional english style. As for which brand, i'd like to knoe too. Its beautiful
Är de nya tomma ramarna förvaxade? Kul att se er igen på nätet :)
Why the separate exterior box? Where do you buy your boxes and sugar feeder?
I bought 12 bees but got 13 so I got a freebee :)
