This time you can actually see how the Land Cruiser is performing after the L300 van. Just skip to 4:12 if you are tired of looking at the van. And don't worry, the Cruiser does get up there!

Landcrusier $65,000 L300 $3500 and you could live in it ,owned one for 15 years and couldn't kill it with a stick,they're so under rated.

Not every cruise has standard lockers

That can has been heavily modded. It's NOT off the car dealership lot van.

Great videos!!... just got a 94 L300 diesel and am loving it in its stock form. What kind of lift did you do in the rear?,... adjusted torsion in the front?Looks like you're running 31's?

That land cruiser is not over 5000 with that bed on the back... i didnt know people did that.. they both are mods this is just a how much you invest underneath contest
Of course, with the $60,000 he saved by not buying a landcruiser, he could put a $1500 winch on that L300 and get up there anyway. Maybe even throw a few thousand at some custom lockers and still have change for a boat and enough money for fuel to go around the country ten times.

@@cooperdobell548 Thank you. And in Land Rover defender ? Here we have 200 tdi, 300tdi, td5 and now I think 2L4 tdi Ford. By the past I having a land rover 110 v8 fuel. Carburator. But I prefer the automatic gear. So => american truck. And it's bigest in the pick up...

I know that video's pretty old but I don't get the point here: a 4-zyl mini-van with high/low 4x4 against a Land Cruiser with V8 and all kind of diff.locks - ? Shame on the cruiser not to make it at 1st try!

Cruiser done pretty well considering the all terrains. A/Ts turn to slicks in mud and clay, they're pretty average really

Yes it is. It can be twin Turbo diesel V8 from factory 😁
1VD-FTE, in the 70 series they have a single turbo, in the 200s they are twin turbo

Toyota doesn't have the right tires and probably engaged some lockers at the end.
Toyota use 4H only for the beginning cuz we can see tyre power not transfer..but at the end maybe he use diff lock.

this is a very poor video comparison , the 5k van has lift kits, mud tyres and inexperience driver on the tracks wheres as 65k cruiser got no lift kit and he is driving on a muddy track with Road tyres and i dont have to comment on the driver Right? lol and it doesn't matter how much is the vehicle is but if its not equipped with proper gears
