BYE BYE TENDER / and HCB 65 Estrella Comes to Haulover!
Messy, gloomy, wavy day at Haulover inlet, terrible conditions. But on the bright side, a HCB 65 Estrella comes though, a poor dude loses his tender overboard off the back of his yacht and some decent PWC jumps!.

I really like how you put all the models of the boats on there. 👍
I was waiting on a caption for the bird.
U little boat spotter bet u play with em in bath
Right? Now if I ever wanna go boat shopping with the money I do not have I’ll know which one to stare at
Seriously, this little thread has me thinking I need to scratch build one of those 4 or 5 motor center console Midnight Express 50 footer boats. They look really awesome.
For those who don't know how to navigate an inlet with a hard outgoing tide, here are some hints. Going out is not so bad, you do have to watch the fact that if you are not going faster than the tide, you can loose the ability to navigate(turn). Coming in is the tricky part. The rule you want to follow is never let your bow dip down, the tide will pull it under. The safest way is to put your bow on the back of a wave, match it's speed, and follow it in. When the wave dissipates if there are no more waves to fall off of, you can take off. One thing you have to remember. When you are maneuvering to enter the inlet and get on the back of your wave, make sure no wave sneaks up behind you and lifts your stern. This will also make your bow dive down and can be disastrous. So in summary, going in on and outgoing tide, don't go over the top of a wave and fall off and don't let a wave catch up to you from behind. Make sure you boat has enough power to keep up with the outgoing tide while pushing on a wave. This can be tricky if you think you have a super fast boat, but it's propped just for speed, it still might not have the power to keep you in position.
Very good advice here.
I have spent 8 yrs in the Royal Australian Navy, l have sailed around the world, l have been in force 10 gales on a aircraft carrier, a force 8 and 9 in a navy destroyer. I have owned a yacht, now a days lm proud to say lm a fair weather sailor, been there, done that. So when l see people who want to go out in rough seas, l just think, stupid. 😆
wur cjrf any bo vsck ot 100 fit wve dad destr

Absolutely love watching these videos. Who knew watching boats going in and out of an inlet could be so entertaining.
Very calming. Water and wave movement with a parade of boats
Hats off to the Estrella Skipper...calm, cool, collected.
Instead of getting those puny 450's though I would have opted for the 627 Seven Marine engines 4 of them is almost equal to 6 of the 450's but with drastically reduced drag and fuel burn, plus lower maintenance. But at 70K+ a pop they are a bit pricey.
@@rebel-yell9453 those are 425s
Beast boat
HCB 65’ Estrella cruising the inlet like it’s flat water on a Sunday morning 😂
There’s no replacement for (hull) displacement ...
Notice how the sport fisherman master it. The guys with the boats out to impress have not got a clue.
Oh man, at first I thought the Estrella didn't look as good as the Scout 530, but looking at it like this, I take it back. That thing is gorgeous! And seeing it being captained that well in those waters... sublime! Thank you bro!
Those Midnight Express boats are so stunning.
I don't have a boat, and don't particularly like going on boats. I love these videos great stuff. Reminds me why.
I absolutely adore the sound of those Detroit 6-71s on Atlantis (6:30). Very reliable and nice sounding engines.
Mother-in-law was in the tender, he’s no dummy...
Ate an edible and have been on your AMAZING CHANNEL for well over 3 hrs now
I genuinely do not understand why someone would want a 65’ center console. For that kind of money I would at least want a cabin.
has a dope cabin
Huge fan of your videos! Keeps me dreaming of sunny days on the water. Thank you!!!
That first boat cut right threw the watter like it was on flat water who ever desighned that boat good job it probly gulps fuil but its a smoth ride 65 esrellia
People are such hater, no one screamed to let him know what was happening. It would have made for better content having him try to recover it.
It’s more funny to watch him not even notice. Too much money and not enough brains to look over his shoulder from time to time
He'd have likely had a worse day messing about in there.
That 65 was like what Inlet 🧐😂👊🏼
I love the opening shot!! 😂😂
I watch the videos and I am always amazed by the fact the a person can spend MILLIONS on a boat but doesn’t know to go through this inlet with the boat up and on plane.
You plonker you don't go on plane through rough breaking waves I can see you don't own a boat
Props to the sea tow guy, handling those swells like a boss -- in a zodiak haha
Nice gull - thank you.
Wow! I bet she's really impressed now with that maneuver.
So satisfying especially when you can’t sleep ❤️
Love these. So relaxing!👍☘️
I've seen a lot of couch riders but I have yet to see someone jumping those waves on a standup jet ski
7:35 is like Nope!....I’m waiting till slack tide
Great video thanks for sharing. Didnt know that place, not easy indeed. The tender lost was great :)
Haha right after I yelled they need to pick them damn out riggers up you put there down to clear the bridge and I felt stupid 🤣🤣
That HCB just slid right through
Great video guys. Keep up the great work
That Estrella is CRAAAAAAZY BIG for a CC. what an insane boat. I bet it gets great mileage.
Had the drone out yesterday and saw that. I can't tell ya how many boats run around with their tenders not secure.
Enjoyed the show! Very entertaining. The Ferretis and Hatteras hulls were beautiful. With the breakers .The jet skis though.Well I'm an old salt and they really should be playing a little further out.Give the weekenders some room at the entrance. I seen too many accidents at sea .
I love the Estrella
Trim angles are important , sometimes
Love seeing those Waverunners jump! Great video.
thanks, i wish we could get more clips of that!
you l8ke c8nvrrtm 1985 wavrinn tpp emtrc
Thanks for clarifying why they are coming in with their outriggers out!!
What is the current speed of the tidal flow, looks pretty substantial?
Another year of great videos. Thank you.
"Is it my imagination, or did I have a jet ski when I left the dock this morning?"
gét élyric jet ski
I got seasick for the first and last time on a boat like that. It should be listed as a torture technique
dude that 65 estrella is the dream
So Awesome I know. BIG $.
I went on Therapy IV - had a great day’s fishing!
That Estrella at the beginning might as well have been a Navy Destroyer for how smooth it went through
Beautiful isn’t it
I see lots of comments saying this boat or that boat is the difference maker. The captain is the difference maker most times.
Superbe vidéo ! Merci ! 👌😎
Ferretti amazing.🔝🔝🔝🔝
Great video!!!...Iam even more sacred of the ocean !😬
That captain of the 48 Hatteras was a pro, surfed the wave all the way in 👍.
I did one of those party fishing boats once in LBI NJ. Half the boat was puking the entire time.
Lots of barfing on Atlantis I reckon.🤮
65 ESTREALLA?!?!? Goddamn!! That thing is huge, rich ass folks on that boat, shoulda got some seven marine engines
That 65 is amazing to see
Jersey having blast
Next time I go to nude beach I'll definitely check out this dangerous inlet! Cool videos.
You are still the best zipzap, forget about the imitators!
Thanks! Variety should be ramping up, my crew in Miami is getting up to speed, freeing me up to hit places all over the country in 2020.
What version was that sea gull?
@8:45 the Gillagins island theme song pops in my head...
Get charged $1000 to tow a $2000 dingy lol.
what camera do you use?
I wondered why so many of the boats were coming in with their outriggers still out! Thank you Zippy!
you were not alone! i figured 6 years in, i should probably address that!
From what I saw, they need them out so they don't hit the bridge
Therapy IV has a good skipper.
The Hatteras owned the inlet like a BOSS.
The boat that lost its tender? How ironic that its name is "Forge Ahead"
Was it...hard...to get the tender?
Don’t they sell “PFD’s” in ‘Mercia?
What's a Hau? And why do you love it so much?
That dude was more worried about his jet ski than his girl.
Wouldnt you?
Gota get to the jet ski if you’re going to save the girl. He did the right thing going straight after the jet ski. It could easily have gotten away from him.
In Norway, not hiding the fenders away is a common giveaway that the captain or people onboard are rookies, or just dumb.
Those are the only options?
Bold
Ex retd
I agree. My father always had us put the fenders away when not in use, it looks sloppy if they're out while under way. I laugh when I see a boat on a trailer on the highway with fenders out.....what are they going to tie up to? 🤷🏼♀️
Great quality video, excellent titles/comments.
Thanks
Did you call it in?
So videos with Estrella in them get 2,000,000+ views. Nice!
The tow boat and the small fishing charter seem to be the only ones who know they are doing.
The charters cut through it like a lazy Sunday.
I will definitely hit that 👍LIKE button for not being on the party boat.. HOLY WHITE CAPS BATMAN!!!
Did they dump a body with the tender
That clown in the beginning with his gf in the back , don't even know what he doing. I laugh fart lmao. Same time. Good shit ahaha
@ 9:31 il Ferretti fa vedere chi comanda!
esatto
Didn't even realize his tender fell off lol. They have registration on the side of them right? To find out who owns it? Bc my man was oblivious lol
That first clip tho 🤣
That party fishing boat looked like an E-ticket ride.
I would never go thru that area with my 2150 Tahoe ...it’s just too much. Even big boats have a hard time going thru there.
There's been a few days that my 36 yellowfin (and me knowing what in doing at the helm) felt like not enough boat. Skill at the helm makes any boat "bigger" (meaning knowing what you are doing makes your boat handle rough stuff better then a bigger boat that has a less skilled pilot at the helm) but some times the rollers are spaced just right to really make it tough... I have never been out there in rhr 36 and felt dangerous but it will wake you up on rough days... A lot of days are pretty smooth but HO can get nasty that's for sure.
Saw a big HCB boat cruise through the ft. Lauderdale canal. It was too far out for me to film. Got a 57ft MTI on film though!
nice. let me know when you get that vid posted!
@@ZipZapPower Should be posted tonight. If not tomorrow.
Happy New Year from Canada 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 👍🐳
Sea Ray with fenders out...big surprise there.
Fenders out with a bro on the bow, no life jacket, and some good swell. Yeah I think we have a bingo winner here
Hcb 65. Good captain..
That Loa 65 rides nice
Yes Sir, very classy design IMO.
I notice many of these boats have an opening near the bow which goes all they way through the hull from side to side. What is this for?
You mean the bow thruster? It’s making it easier for the captain to dock the boat.
With Marnier time rules if you retrieve the tender is it yours? I'm in Missouri I know little about the ocean and the rules.
Since every boat is registered nowadays, I doubt it.
That’s a small craft advisory day, even for Haulover that’s ripping.
Yup
Estrella is a sweet Boat but it seems like the bow rides low in the water?
Do you know if the guy came back out to get his tender. It looked like him coming back out when the outrigger was going through.
That edit was not in sequence. do not know.
What model of bird?! You missed that label @10:02
I couldn't verify the model year and length.
I watched this entire video.
Great watching people get Pile-drived up in the bow.
Hey love the videos..how about some jet ski episodes
The HCB...that is one boat/captain that could have rolled in at high speed and not felt a thing. But the captain came in with respect and grace nice and easy. No need to show off with speed.
The Atlantis went on a 3 hour tour. LoL
Seriously? It sure looks a mess for a rental boat.
