Maybe they should make the next game.
The developers are hard at work too, you just can’t feel it the same way as seeing an epic trailer.
They look like the MGSV parasite unit. Also the part where one of them kills that guy with a knife might be hinting at an infected game mode.

The new "vehicle" is probably more in line with a new drone. The Ranger is the only Drone in game, this could be a more team focused drone seeing it gives health and ammo. Would be great to have especially as a support main
That'd actually be really appreciated - a drone that drops ammo and meds to anyone nearby who requests it
Where the heck did you find the lore to find out Henry Blackburn is alive in 2042? One of my biggest gripes besides the gameplay (thats been getting patched) is with the world building in 2042. Its lore was disjointedly all over the place and not all that easy to follow imho.
there is a new codex with a lot of the story and the player cards have small amounts of info

I don’t see how people are thinking their zombies they are literally shooting guns and literally said they’re mind controlled soldiers not zombies and it’s cool seeing Blackburn is still alive during 2042 i personally enjoy the lore in this game it’s interesting

I wouldn't take the skins each of the specialists wear as necessarily being canon, especially when characters get skins for two opposing factions
While we wish for zombies,wouldn't be surprised if it's limited to just 'Epic' skins for characters. Please do proof me wrong dice

I recently got back into BF2042 3 weeks ago and loving it! Coming from a 10+ year veteran player who stopped playing BF2042 at level 12

Nothing of this makes any sense. I mean maybe if the nopads were clones, but than they wouldn’t have to capture any of them..
Its odd that people will still fall for the amazing trailer that is always followed by lackluster actual content, if only that the whole team could put as much effort as the work the trailer team does then i would try this game again.
I expect hopefully that they add Blackburn as a payable specialist throught the rest of the month, maybe others like Recker some time later or comming with a surprise of Ilia (the Russian Spetznats that worked together with Blackburn and help escape Recker, Irish and Hanna from the mountain prission) as in the original game you could get his dogtag at the end of a mission but on a later update the dogtag was removed from the collection and no longer given when you finished that mission in the campaign, leaving many of us with the possibility of Ilia being just pressumed dead by Tombstone, just like Hanna after the ending of the camapign if you choose her to place the explosives (now confirmed to be the canon ending).

2042 would've been an even bigger mess at launch if resources went to a rushed campaign

I'm not so sure that they're Crawford or Mackay. They're No-Pats from the Missing No Pats posters. They may look similar but they're different. Though, maybe we can play as those cybernetic chip implanted ("turned") soldiers, and those may be the skins for the specialists we have now.
i think too since in season 5 we got the futuristic vs survivor cosmetics
i feel like we gonna get the turned outfits and the borealis hazmat looking suits
Every time I redownload BF2042 (PS5) I try to hop into a few games over the course of a weekend and I am consistently the ONLY person in the server. Is anyone actually playing this game still? Are there specific times I should try to play?
PC, Europe, crossplay turned on. Last few weeks, every day, at any time of day, it takes only few seconds to find a match, what ever game mode I choose.
So disappointed in a stupid hover bike tbh. It's cool but the fact we don't get a real vehicle is a shame.
if these enhanced soldiers are to be skins then i think they need to restrained to this one new map because they will feel horribly out of place in other maps.

“We are clearly able to tell boreas is an ethical mess” that’s one way to put it 😂 And wow Crawford got screwed horribly I didn’t notice how badly he got messed up. To be honest I don’t have much faith in DICE that the zombies will be anything other than specialist skins, which will look terribly out of place on other maps. Drawback of battlefield 2042’s live service being they push skins at the detriment of factions - would’ve been so much cooler to have permanent faction skins for each map, as season 5 also had the same issue with the two factions skins being useable on either side and looking out of place on other maps.

Yeha, on that map the skins fit and look cool. But on hourglas? Orbital? Now imagine these skins together with woodpecker McKay, anime skin guns and the other more out of place skins for the other specialists. So dumb.
Ahh it is a good day when Flakfire updates And finally has this game come to a good final product

My old veteran battlefield hearth is sad of all this cod ish stuff the devs is doing to my fav fps so can't say I am excited.
I think it's funny that DICE think any of the non-BC campaign characters are remotely memorable or iconic enough that A) most players still remember their names years later without having to be reminded and B) will be enough of a nostalgia hit to bring players back. Like, who legitimately cares that Blackburn is back? Did anyone ever hope he would return? The dude is a cardboard cutout of a stereotype who is "legendary" for being the player character in one of the most underwhelming finales to a major AAA title in the last 20 years..
Not hyped about the story part. Kinda silly with the characters so Evil Crawford gonna fight none evil. Just odd. I do enjoy that dice is continuing to go with 2042.

The amount.of air vehicle in 2042 had killed the game for me. So many times killed by air vehicle then i spawn only to be killed right as i spawn because thw vehicle that killed has moved to different area where i happened to spawn. I have had this happen to me every game at least two or three times depending on the map. More so on renewal obitial and the snow map cant think of name at moment

Hope that support(Angel) gets a buff, useless now... Maybe Angel gets the new drone.
I think instantly resupplying all rockets/ammunition is pretty good. Too bad only 20% of Angel players even know about it.

Man, this series is getting disappointing.. What happened to real world factions and geo-political lore? This season's theme is kinda weak speaking as a millennial BF3 diehard at least lol

I don't know, I think this will prove to be realistic for the year 2042, for those of us who make it that far past the Great Reset. There are real world factions btw, US & RU. The geopolitical lore of 2042 is the second cold war, fought on various continents. Of course you play as hired mercenaries, so the proxy wars don't escalate into a hot-war/end-war.
Cool but this would be better done as a bloody campaign than just a bunch of trailers, there’s literally no point to be immersed in this when you can’t even engage in it. Do not tell me the multiplayer is how you can engage in it because it isn’t, no one cares about it and it’s even worse because you’re playing as an operator, not a simple GI

So I gave this game a try a few days ago. And I was blown away by how wacky and Arcady the game is. Gender inclusivity and fantasy are the main themes for this game and there’s a massive disconnection from the IPs military identity. The class character system is pathetic - don’t know who thought clones of deliberately personalised character’s was going to work. As well as those painfully cringey character game ending screens. I can see why dice added the portal mode into the game. Because this forced diversity was going to have push back. I would probably not continue to play this crap. Is this the result of feminism. A soft workforce ? It seems so.

Kinda fall off as things get more and more futuristic, more and more dystopian, cyber etc, etc. Missed battlefield where things were more grounded in reality, at least at the thematic level, could associate with it a lot more. Genereic bAd CoRpeRatIoN shii that's been done a thousand times before doesn't interest me.
If you don't think this corporate dystopia is realistic for 2042, then I have bad news about the future you will inherit.
