Fun fact: Due to the recent release of the Battlefield 2042 Exodus, it is cannon that Hannah died while Pac and Irish lives.
It’s also a possibility that wrecker sacrificed himself
@@regulardude2864 no its not, the boat just blows up

Spolier RIP PAK, WHYYYYYYY! I salute that man….
the dinosaur looked awfully familiaf to the one in bf3... coincidence?
The thing I'm still wondering is how they're going to handle NoPats, Americans, and Russians on a battlefield. 3 factions at once? Well I guess it's just gonna be NoPats against NoPats, but that's such a shallow yet convoluted story. Stupid storyline. Why not a conventional US v RU ww3?? That would be waay cooler. And they could focus on more realistic military uniforms, or more believable locations, etc
@@pissyourselfandshitncoom2172 you're the only person that complaining about this different setting why because people are tired of the same old us versus Russia in the same old locations but with this layout they have the power to do anything introduce any weapons any vehicles(from any nation) and any map in the world while fitting within the story which is amazing but if you actually deep dive and what's happening in the world reading the story not just Exodus then you would understand and plus this is a probable future because of climate change

Something that I like from Battlefield, despite being years of difference they all share the same world just don't share a long campaign story. Even multiplayer its connected to the singleplayer story, you can see this by seeing the trailers of BF4
I’m gonna be looking out for BF references in 2042
@@ianhagee1286 well today there’s been a massive one 😂
@@benb3756 t r u e
@@ianhagee1286 I wanna see a lot of 2142 references and Final Stand dlc references
I’m really hoping for a bad company reference in the next campaign
I think there is a problem in the lore: -In BF4's Final Stand dlc, (happens around 2020s) they were experimenting with the titans and mech walkers which are involved in 2142 -They are (at least for now) not to be seen in 2042... where are these techs? -100 years later they will use them - why they didnt used in the apocalypse of 2042? I hope DICE will clear this out later, or I just missed something
They might retcon somethings to bridge the gap
Funding maybe
to be fair final stand was just a big nod to 2142 and may very well not be canon
I had the same thought. This is my take on why we might not see hover tanks, rail guns, titans, mechs, etc, in 2042 or at least at the beginning. From what I understand, during the 30s the world economy stumbles, there's a food shortage, countries collapse, nature gets harsh etc. The US and Russia seem to get some grip. From these events I'd imagine the research on future tech becomes stale. Do to materials shortage, I'd imagine the US and Russia would focus on producing slightly futuristic tech(so new ARs instead of rail guns, better tanks instead of hover tanks, etc). Maybe, they have a slow production line on 2142ish tech and both the US and Russia are arming up to eventually have eachothers proper armies go against eachothers. In the meantime of arming up, they send no pats to fight for them in 2042. That's how I would make sense of Final Stand and 2042s events.
America successfully destroyed the Phantom Program so I guess the tech nly gets used 100+ years later
With the exodus trailer we can learn that Battlefield 2042 is the following of Battlefield 4 (PS : I’m French and I have been disturb by two campaign of Battlefield, Battlefield 1 and V. Battlefield 1 because they didn’t add a french and a russian campaign beside the fact that the russian and french army had the most loss, and that the Harlem Hell Fighter fight with french troops (that is why they have french helmet) Because USA would’nt let them fight with american soldiers. The operation Dragoon is the first thing we learn in Middle School and It happened because American army would’nt let Leclerc (Général of the 2nd armored division ) kept his man from french colonies who has been transformed as the 1st army who landed in the south of the France.
I fully agree with you !!
The very first bf1 DLC was all about the French, that was the whole point of the DLC
@@DanS044 Yes but It is annoying to have the french army in a DLC while the american army are in the base game expect that they enter the war in 1917 and their implication was minimal (1 year of fight) so why do you put a country who join the fight in 1917 and not the french army and russian army who join the fight at the beginning in the base game
I'm also disturbed because THERE WASNT A CENTRAL POWETS CAMPAIGNS AMD YOUR WHINING BUT I DO AGREE WHY DID WE NEED A WAR STORY OF TRAITORS (I mean the arab one) INSTEAD WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN A RUSSIAN AND FRENCH ONE
Historically leclerc and his french buddies really fucked up the whole situation in Vietnam
Shoulda waited to release this so you could get the "Journey of the No-Pats" and the "Exodus" short film in the video.
The Last tiger was a great story in BF5
It was the only good story
To be honest I think BF2042's story sounds the most interesting out of all the battlefield games, of course the game itself will probably be incredible but I think the story is definitely worth following as well.

Hannah's sacrifice in the ending of Battlefield 4 campaign is now officially canon. Given the fact that we saw both Pac and Irish appeared in the Battlefield 2042 Exodus short film.
And people actually hated her for her snobbish attitude. Now she should gain the prestige of being ranked as a Task Force 141 soldier for her bravery and saving the world actions
Still patiently waiting for Battlefield Bad Company 3's release. Bad Company had the best story line among all the Battlefield's and the subtle humour was perfect too without it being over the top.
Nothing better than good ol' Battlefield lore
I love that the BF storyline is still connected but have different and fun stories in each BF game.

Bro you are a god for doing this much research! You got my respect

the way they introduce you to bf1's story with the storm of steel. if they made that into a legit mechanic throughout an entire campaign i bet people'd enjoy it. just this idea that if your character dies you don't restart, but instead are ported to a different part of the battle and have to keep fighting, maybe with altered objectives, or even the same objectives but now with the enemy having more land you have to take from them. It would be great.
That's what they did in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat's campaign, but on a smaller level, and the porting between characters was instant pretty much. Each squad member had one of the four combat roles of the multiplayer classes seen in most Battlefields, like engineer, support, recon, and medic. You could also just change bodies without dying in case you needed ammo or something like that. It's been a while since I've played the game, but I remember that kind of thing being a very important gameplay element. It was pretty cool
There was some more story in between games with official short stories and stuff, like a book for the events right before bf4, and one about Irish (from BF4) becoming the nopat you see him as in BF2042. There was also the Phantom program and some stuff with the Peacemaker unlock that has some potential story with it. Great video though!

Very well done video. Truly enjoyed it. Also, I'm pretty sure I let Hannah go. Battlefield 1 is one definite fave of mine. I've been playing a lot of Battlefield 5 lately tho and it's been really fun!
Sick thumbnail!
The ending of the last tiger had me in tears
9:39 that sound effect made me jump so far that I colonised mars
btw picking hannah to blow up the ship in bf4 is now cannon
Would be very cool if there was a 2142 campaign too
I don't remember remember much about the campaign cause I haven't played in for ever but if there is one thing I remember is that I gave Hanna the detonators immediately without a second thought. I was still pretty soure over her betrayal and thought I'd be happy thanks to her death, but I ended up still feeling kinda sad after it.
I'd suggest doing an updated version of this at some point after 2042 (and it's first few seasons of content) comes out. I'd also suggest taking into account the "events" and themes of the Multiplayer maps, considering BF4 Final Stand has direct references to 2142.
Bad Company (series) is probably the best one since its the least serious... Best hope is that they'll do Bad Company 3 after 2042 e-e
the pilot is actually Blackburns great grandfather from bf3 in bf1
You forgot about the most important lore of battlefield 2142, "I am Legend" canonically exists
Hey buddy great video, trust me I'm not nitpicking. The Battle of Hue, Hue is pronounced more like "way". Hope you have a great one and keep up the fantastic content.
Haha thanks, a lot of people have corrected Hue, Muller and Gallipoli. I'll try to brush up on pronunciation a bit more next time 👌
I did kill Hannah the first time I beat the campaign, however I went back and did the second and third options just so that I could unlock the M249 and whatever the AR you could unlock was.

At the ending of The Last Tiger, Peter Müller actually survived. At the end of the mission, the last two shots were from a Thompson I think. Peter survived and was a POW for a few years until his realese around 1948. After his realese, Müller changed his name to Miller and started a family. In Battlefield 3, Sgt Miller was a decendant of Müller. Spoiler: Müller was narrating the story from the start. What he was talking about his time in during the war so, he survived the war.
I would love a Vietnam bf with a good campaign with today’s graphics and servers Also BF3 will forever be unbelievably beautiful and amazing

I’m pretty sure both Bad Company games take place before BF 3 and 4 chronologically… but I could be wrong.
13:35 I picked hanna but I bet the conversation between hanna and Irish is when Hanna, Irish and recker was in the M-RAP driving and maybe this might support the idea but when Hanna, you and Irish got to the dam. what happened to the truck of gold that they drove off with at the end of Bad Company 1? No mention of it in BC2, and the squad all just returned to service?
This is the video I was originally looking for hahaha
after the new exodus short movie I was like yep everyone chose hannah back in the day, and you just confirmed it lol
Lets be real the runners ending made us all cry
I have a theory that in bad company 2, the squad are now private mercenaries. Who fund themselves from the gold they got from bad company 1. If you notice, they have no american emblems on their uniforms. And they mostly do their own thing. They get "suggested" to do what they do, never outright ordered.
Sorry to spoil this, but you got this kind of incorrect. There are two versions of World War III that occur in the Battlefield universe. Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 take place over a period of six years during a fictional global conflict between the United States and the Russian Federation, with the Peoples' Republic of China switching between sides. Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 supposedly take place in the same timeline in a World War between NATO vs Russia and China.
