25 Wild Hogs Trapped in the Game Changer Jr Hog Trap. Biggest catch with Cellular Hog Trap.

2022 ж. 1 Там.

25 wild hogs total on the property for this catch. Are time is up with the current land owner. We put a dent in the wild hog population, but much more work is needed here. Hopefully, we will be invited back before hunting season.

    • How destructive are they? They living in the forest and you living yours. I live in a forest resort before, I have seem them too. They never disturb anyone living there and we don't bother them. Even they come out at night to find food and we in the day. So I don't understand why human still find faults with them. I only see greed to eat them because they not willing to take out their pocket to buy butcher farm meat at store.

    • @@wendyshoowaiching4161 Well, these farmers and ranchers spend long hours all day every day and into the night to care for their crops and tend to their animals. They’re fighting to survive in very difficult times. They work very hard to provide food for the world. According to a USDA study, wild hogs can be blamed for $1.5 billion in damages every year in the United States. The feeding habits of wild hogs make them particularly destructive to crops, woodland habitats, levees, moist soil units, golf courses, and right of ways.

    • @@YT-ty1oy If you can't find a mutual solution, killing them long term will cause direct harm to the hunter. Karma of killing is not one can joke about. Human could not win fight over lesser beings without bearing the burn themselves. The game of karma is no killing and suffering cause to other party. You can work it out. Put them in large santuary they can thrive without disturbing your life.

    • @@wendyshoowaiching4161 boars are a massive issue here in France, they destroy fences, trash farmland and gardens. They are getting closer and closer to habitations which could be dangerous. There is a massive overpopulation which is only growing worse despite hunters killing 800k a year. They cause between 60 to 80 million euros of damage each year in France. 97% of the damages caused by big hunting stock are caused by hogs in my region.

    • This time of year its very hot. Its almost impossible to process them before they go bad. During the fall through spring is when we donate all the hogs to families for processing. I don't weigh them so not sure how much weight, but I would imagine a lot. The families show up and we load them into trucks and trailers. I would say we donate about 90% of hogs to families when the weather permits excluding summer. If cooked correctly it taste very good. Thanks for watching.

    • This trap I'm using is called "Game Changer Jr" made by Bull Creek Outdoors. It is approximately $11,000.00 US dollars and is activated to close the gate with a cell phone. There is another trap that you may consider called the "Pig Brig" which a net type trap I think is around $2500.00 that would be effective without cellular service. This would be my recommendation I would consider in a very remote setting. As far as ammunition, there are other ways to dispatch animals without a firearm. You would have to use your imagination on this. Might be brutal but will work.

  • Id be interested to know if you have tried out the pig brig trap and if so, what do you think about it?

    @casienwhey@casienwhey Жыл бұрын
    • I have not tried one yet. It seems effective. Just don’t know how long they will hold up on the boars.

    • We’ve got a pig brig. Works good, only problem with it is it gets tangled on any sticks, vines, roots, etc. I’m in north Florida and the places I trap are typically in some pretty thick areas. If you’ve got a good clear area it’s an amazing tool. Super easy to set up too.

  • wow lotsa work and planning there,,,,ive a friend who was driving home to her rural home late at night a couple of years ago, hog came runnning across the road near her home when she slowed down to make a turn. Ran up to the left side of her new mustang and locked onto the left front fender and twisted and fought until he ripped the fender off!! Those things are nothing to mess with.

  • What do you do to dispose of the carcasses? Dumping them only feeds coyotes, rats, and such. This is not hate toward you. Just concern. I admire and appreciate getting rid of the pigs. The thing is, getting a blessing without a curse added to it.👍👍
