This week we trapped 39 wild hogs and never moved the trapped. They just kept coming.

  • David, I lived in the N.C mountains on my grandparents Homestead farm. The wild hogs would come through our farm and destroy our garden and mess up the pastures with there rooting and destroying everything. These garden sare so important to the families . This is partly how families in this area get through our winters there. The gardens and farm animals are the difference of going hungry or not. The hogs are a menace to everyone there.

  • I'm a Democrat from New York but more importantly I've been a chef for 25 years what you're doing is amazing and please keep it up!!! People don't realize that this is a horrible invasive species that is literally taking over so much land they destroy everything in their path from crops to homes to fences they attack children dogs What you're doing is amazing and unfortunately most people won't even eat that meat even if you got them out that day processed and put into a restaurant because Americans are so fussy about what they eat White tasteless fish nasty chicken we destroyed pigs where they have no fat left in them and the meat is pink instead of red

  • I'm impressed you made mention of how you let them calm down before they are killed Pigs are highly intelligent animals, they would know what is in-store for them and to let them calm down before they died is humanity at it's best - well done! That is not an easy thing to do especially considering how must of a pest these creatures have become and how people just want them gone at any cost and will often forget they are still animals with an awareness of their own mortality

    • I was thinking if these pigs were so intelligent, why would they let themselves be caught like this??? They should know by now any man-made structure means death.

The Human is a Learning disabled Life Form and that the Human a Big Problem with His Bad Kognitive abilities has that makes more as one Fact Here super good Visible. The Human is not Really Intelligent ,then the Human is more Clever and smart or crafty, but really Intelligent is the Human Not. The Human is a Stupid Cruel Creature with a Big Sadism Problem ,and the Most People can we see as a Anti Logician . The Human bring the Chaos in the Natur and that here a bad Feedback in the Way is ,that is more as Super good Visible. The Human Pest is the Biggest Problem for the Natur or a Mass Learning disabled Humans and never the hogs . But that here makes it with Visible that the Human a Stupid Life Form is and your Message. With the Logic from the Since has a Human how you Nothing to do ,but Bullshit has a Human like you, enough in his head.

My in-laws live on 600 acres of cattle/pine tree & crops in Georgia. They trap & hunt hogs too. The damage they're capable of is hard to understand unless you experience it. The taste of pork BBQ, cooked underground all night, is hard to appreciate unless you experience it as well! Yummy! 😋

Get a post driver: faster, safer and something you'll use for a long, long time. With the fog and the rain it seems the pigs are more sedate. Hmm. At least you didn't need to go to the "Yawtyawt Pig Wash" for this catch. Just as well because that creek was drier than usual. Of course the area under the trap looked really good for water when it came to making a mess. Up here the various species of vultures would be up to the task. Why go crazy with a road department cleaning up a carcass. Just pull it off the road a bit if it looks bad. Nature takes it's course pretty good! That neighbor who burns his grass off...That was funny!

  • Its amazing how much damage these hogs do to property, I'm in GA, middle GA, and we've got plenty of them here too.

  • Wow David, that was some huge drops & getting rid of those big sows was really helpful in the scheme of things. Another thing, 1955 was a very good year, as it was the year I was born, September 29th, but not on a frosty morn, more likely an evening as my Mama told me. It's coming up on the morning she passed away, May 16, 2022, & it's difficult to believe it's nearly one year. My Dad passed on October 26, 2004. I miss both of them very much & tried my best to honor them, especially in their later years. I'm gonna try & make my way to your favorite eating place soon & plan to leave you a donation too. Be careful & God bless you & your family!
