In this episode, Morris Lubricants Technology Manager, Adrian Hill and Guy Martin ‘look into the near future’ and talk about the move towards the Euro VII emissions standard for commercial vehicle engines and the steps that are being taken to ensure compliance.
Euro VII will see a further reduction in exhaust emissions with after treatment devices becoming even more efficient. New engines will also be designed to run on thinner oils to further promote fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 output. Fleet managers, HGV mechanics and workshop technicians will start to see an increase in demand for this new generation of thinner engine oils.
Adrian explains to Guy how Morris Lubricants are already working with the different original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and various suppliers to develop the correct oil formulations for the new Euro VII engine designs as they begin to emerge.
