We were having a clear out and came across a memory card with some unseen footage from when Guy Martin popped in for a brew last year.
It was shot on the fly, before the main interview started, so it's a bit wobbly and the focus is best described as "soft', but, it's still well worth a watch to discover why Guy thinks bikes like the latest BMW S1000RR are just "mopeds" compared with his tuned Hayabusa - plus how he's aiming for 300mph on it!

Didn’t understand a blooody word anyway…… oh, cheeky lying basket. Moped - but only cos I had one. Cars beating super bikes? Never gonna happen until they make a bike with 4 wheels, 5 seats and a roof.
How do you even go about insuring a 1000bhp road car? "Does your car have any performance mods?" "Yes. All of them."
As with all things age help, but there are lots of specialists companies who cover tuned cars.

I used to ride a CR500 motocross bike i had a go on my mate's RM250 it felt like a moped in comparison a RM250 is no slouch but it's the comparison to what you are used to.

I’m paralysed from the waist down from a crash racing motorbike’s. I highsided it at Croft and landed right on my arse and crushed my coccyx, Sacrum and all 5 of my lumbar vertebrae which damaged my spinal cord and caused severe nerve damage. I’d give literally anything to be able to ride for 1 more day.

My dads got a super charged rocket 3, tuned by TTS to 350bhp 😄 insane machine! I've borrowed it a few times and have loved it, hope you're enjoying yours 🙂👍

Man GM is such a hero to me and this is why he's just a gearhead lol. My brother stayed near his place and ran into him on vacation and oh man how I wish I went on that trip. Funniest part is I just wanna show him my mental 155cc drag bike lmao I'm sure he'd have some tips for more mental of a build but just to pick his brain for alitte would be such a treat.

It’s so true though! I think the best example all of us riders experience is going from a 125 to a 400-600 and up to a litre bike. Smaller down the scale compared to the 250-300+ mental bikes out there but it’s exactly the same feeling. I felt the same after getting off the ZH2, nothing compressed my chest and made breathing harder before on a bike, whereas that one did haha!
No it’s all relative. My superbike is the fastest thing you can get, then you jump on his turbo long bike!

MGP bikes make around 240-250 horsepower. Any litre bike making less power is a boring moped. My ZZR1400 turbo with 350hp is exciting.

When he retired in 2017 he said he was bored with it. He has too many other interests to spend all year prepping for just racing. Plus he's in his 40s now. Let the man rest. 😂
