Please Note: While Cooper Howard did call CX404 "Dogmeat", each of the dogs named Dogmeat in the Fallout games and Amazon series are not the same dog nor related to each other, but deserve all the scratches and pets nonetheless.
Yup. CX404. Otherwise known as "Canine experiment, not found"
well the dogmeat in fallout 3 is female as you could get the puppies perk that allowed you to get more dog meats? if the original died. in fallout 4 dogmeat was male. can't remember which gender dogmeat was in the original game.
Dogmeat is a nicknane dogs tend to get because the majority of dogs are used for meat sorry
It is actually more likely that the player and Yes Man Ending of Fallout is canon, since that also leads to the downfall of New Vegas.
nope! if they aren't all the SAME dog then NO SCRATCHES!
Mr. House is not artificial intelligence. He's actually been in a pod for over 200 years.

The Dogmeat in the show is not the one from any of the games. It's just a common name for dogs in the fallout franchise to keep references the movie "A boy and his dog"
Yup, Dog meat is different dogs. Still cool!
I think they also call dogs "Dogmeat" in the Mad Max series.
dog meat is wrong, the gun is wrong, the bos knight is wrong, the ghoal is wrong, the bad guy is wrong so basically the whole series is wrong
@@XoSKEMSOLDIERoX Dog meat is a name, literally all the guns shown were accurate to the games except for the assault rifle which they made more of an LMG which imo is better design than the fallout 4 version. BOS is literally perfect, the "ghoul" is probably one of the best written characters of the franchise. I'll agree Moldaver kinda sucked you got me on that one.
@@thewowmister technically Hank was the bad guy of the show, and he was well written.
4:55 What are you even talking about? The Enclave breeds and trains these dogs for companions. How is this a continuity error at all?
Probably should’ve had a fallout fan write your script.
Cringe af
They probably should have had someone who actually watched the series write the script, instead of having some guy ripping out facts from other KZhead channels and getting them wrong.
Looper is terrible 😂
@@runeciti They also probably should of had someone who played the games write the script for the show.
I don't see how the red rocket scene could cause any continuity problems, Red Rocket was a nationwide gas station chain and they are two separate dogs just of the same breed.
Dogmeat is not the same dog in every installment of the series. In fact, it is a different breed throughout each game. The Dogmeat in Fallout 1 is an Australian Cattle Dog, 3 was a Blue Heeler, 4 was a German Shepard, and the dog in the show is a Belgian Malinois. As for Fallout 2... I honestly don't know. lol
and then new vegas had rex, which well, was more machine than dog.

@@24KLuxury no, the show takes place after everything in the current fallout lore, so no replay
That would make a lot of sense. That way, the Yes Man ending, the NCR ending, and the House ending could all potentially be canon (assuming House dies and the NCR retreats from Vegas, before or after the game).
Lots of stuff REALLY misunderstood by the creators of this video to the point you might want to redo it and re-upload.
One thing not mentioned in this video, When lucy is walking through the wasteland, you can see abnormally large piles of poo. Theres only one animal out there leaving those kinds of trails..
When you call the phone number for Vault-Tech the screaming man on the other end is American actor "Slim Pickens" riding a nuke as it falls from a plane in the classic cold war movie Dr Strangelove.

I'd say... a faster pace in story and narrative now that us non-players have had our requisite world building. Even I am struggling with the pace on rewatch, I feel for the gamers. 😥 Bring on season two... and the DeathClaws! 😆
I want to know what ending in the New Vegas game is canon.

Richest and/or least fortunate. Very few of the vaults weren't sadistic experiments in some form or another, it may have been better to be a wastelander and sought some other form of shelter from the bombs.
Credit to you guys for digging up that Kid in a Fridge quest. Great callback.
Wasn't the indiana Jones movie made yearrrrrs after that though?
@@magincap70 years before
@@magincap70 Indy 4 came out in 2008. Fallout 4 in 2015. So no.
@benjacobson8638 I thought that they mentioned in the video it also happened in fallout 3 which was 2008. I didn't realize that crystal skull came out in 2008. Time flies.
I was saying back when fallout NV came out, that Vault-tec was the ones who dropped the bombs, now I was right 14 years later
The show didn't confirm Vault-Tec dropped them, the evidence confirms they wanted to and they would've, eventually, but they weren't ready yet. At least that's what it seems for now, maybe the next seasons will shed some more light on that and put an end to the endless debate of who dropped them first or what triggered the bombings anyway, saying they all did doesn't make sense either unless there is something that prompted them to do so
You only knew that after New Vegas? Iam being saying it since Fallout 3. But in F1 and F2 I thought about this also. But in F3 you have those details and logos on nukes
Nah, if Vault tec would drop the bombs Ghouls daughter would be save in the Vault, but she was with daddy on a party. Also, imho Vault Tec would have to attack Russia to actually get the response.
ok i reckon the fall of shady sands refers more to the breakdown of the ncr because in new vegas a lot of troops start to complain about being spread thin and how supplies and caps just dwindle and that they cannot reamin in vegas much longer
You forgot to talk about the Syringer, the Rock-it Launcher (JunkJet), the bobblehead and many other things.
"The Fall of Shady Sands" followed by a mushroom cloud. It was poorly aid out but the intent was clearly that the NCR and Shady Sands pulled a Rome starting in 2077. Things went downhill for a few years and culminated in a nuclear blast. It completely leaves Fallout New Vegas's lore untouched. Because even the NCR NPC's in FNV complain about strained supply lines and being stretched too thin. TLDR The blast happened soon after the events of Fallout New Vegas. No lore breaks.
Damn y'all pumping out the half ass fallout videos pretty frequently
I don't think its an inconsistency at all regarding dog meat.. if anything they explained a previous inconsistency made by the games on how exactly there's a dog meat in fallout 4 and fallout 3. They showed in the Enclave lab, where dog meat was genetically modified, that there are many many Enclave attack dogs explaining how a dog named dog meat in multiple games makes sense. As for Cooper calling hm Dogmeat, that was clearly a nod to Fallout 3 for the fans.
calling the number from the commercial is just half the easter egg, you gotta text it for the other half
6 minutes in, that iconic armor in Fallout New Vegas is called Riot Armor. That is all.
5:50 This scene is also basically an exact copy of 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' scene.
Ugh, why does everyone insist that Maximus being in the fridge must be an Indy reference? It's just a Kid in a Fridge reference.
I'm placing my bet on the ending of Lonesome Road DLC where you fire both nukes at NCR and Legion.
Yeah, they didn't communicate clearly when they had the words "the fall" of Shady Sands next to a picture of mushroom cloud with no date. They could have done a better job showing that they were two separate events by naming "the fall" as something else. For example, "the decline" or some shit.
Considering that Maximus was a small child around 6 when Shady Sands was destroyed it would have been at least 15 years ago in the show if he in in his early 20's like Lucy. With the current date being 2296 and NV happening in 2281 it is possible that the nuke was dropped around the same time as the events of NV. It still does not explain why Shady Sands was still considered the Capitol in NV when the "Fall" was 4 years earlier. I think they messed up the date because Lucy mentions the plague of 77 when her mom died and we now know her Mom died in the blast and Lucy looked about 4 in the flash back with her mom, which is why everyone says the bomb was in 2077.
@@selalewow Was Shady Sands still the capital? I thought it had moved by then. I played it last year for the first time, and I seem to remember having to prove to someone I was an "NCR Citizen" by answering some questions, one of which was "What was the first capital of the NCR" answer: Shady Sands. Implying to me that the capital moved.
@@albertnormal6834 NPC's used phrases like "the burocrats in Shady Sands" implying there are still federal politicians there.
When I saw how calm Mr. House was during that one meeting, I knew then and there that he was going full Otto von Bismarck, and just him he had a plan, Bismarck always has a plan, "The House always wins" - was planning to outlive them all, but dang his own wife the cold-blooded killer, just icing on the cake there buddy,
are we sure this isnt watchmojo
11:55 I hope Mr. House is just disabled and not dead and that the NCR had taken control of new vegas but lost it cuz they kinda suck because they're spread to thin so it's just radiers that took control of Vegas and that's why it's destroyed because fallout 4 established that the NCR won the second battle for hoover dam and beat the legion. what I want for the second season is someone to find Mr. House in the lucky 38 get him back online by putting him back in the pod so he can pour Securitrons back onto the strip i'd also like a mention of Courier 6 and/or Ulysses Maybe Tunnlers are the reason it was destroyed, dug right under the walls
if Mr house is not in his pod he died 6 months latter according to NV. there was a option to disconnect his cererbal (wahtever it was) and the isolation from that likely would drive him insane or kill him rather quickly
The ranger armor is likely not Mojave Ranger armor. Its probably scavanged LAPD Riot Gear. 6:19
Just a side note, props to Eric Estrada for doing this show!
And Looper needs to do two seconds of research about the name of the dog in "A Boy and His Dog." "Dogmeat" in that movie was an *insult*, not the name of the dog. The dog in the movie was named Blood, not dogmeat. Aaaaaand "A Boy and His Dog" was based on a Harlan Ellison short, not something that sprang up from the fevered imagination of L.Q. Jones, the director. Admittedly, Ellison was involved heavily in the movie, and approved of most of it, excluding the last line. But since this all happened in the 70s, most of the people that played Fallout wouldn't have known any of this, and Unca Harlan is now six years in his grave. BTW fun fact - two of Ellison's stories were the basis for the story in the original Terminator movie, and you'll see a blurb at the end of the movie now acknowledging Ellison's works. Harlan bites hard when he feels he was ripped off. 😁 And one of the favorite episode of Star Trek TOS is his - "City on the Edge of Forever". He disavowed the filmed version and went on to win a Hugo for both the original screenplay, AND the filmed version. If I remember, he only accepted the Hugo for the screenplay because he hated all of the rewrites that happened to the filmed version. He wanted to put his "Cordwainer Bird" author's name on it, for those things that he didn't want his actual name associated with, but there was some sort of contractual thing that prevented it.
Dude, they will never change their ways. Watchmojo won't either until a new channel comes along.
Steam didn't even exist when Fallout was released.

Australian cattle dog and blue healer are the same dog…..
Concerning New Vegas in ruins, note that the lucky 38 seems intact. The legion probably wouldn't care about it while in the yes man way he takes control of it & New Vegas falls into anarchy, looks like that no?
The scene where Mr house appears also shows the CEOs of REPCONN (appears in New Vegas's quest Come fly with me) and BigMT (Frederick Sinclair). Sinclair is the founder of the Sierra Madre Casino from the Dead Money DLC, and Big MT owned th Think Tanks from Old World Blues.
I missed some Supermutants too, maybe in the next season.
The dog meat thing was explained it looked like the enclave was producing a ton of German Shepards and the dogmeats we find in the games are dogs who’ve escaped that facility
I dig that we seem to be accepting the show as part of the wider canon of the franchise, can open up some interesting possibilities if they make another game.
I think Yes Man is the canon ending for new vegas
Moira becomes a Ghoul, if you detonate the nuke in Megaton. So she could be still around.
I think dog meat is a saying in the fallout universe as a comic nickname due to the shortage of food and the humans looking at the dog as food?
i never saw the scene of the ghoul reviving the dog. what episode was that
I think episode 2
@ 2:26 Who the heck is Walten Goggins? We have all heard of Walter Goggins!

I'm betting the canon ending for New Vegas is The House Always Wins. Season two will settle it.
This looks very nice. I like this trailer. This world seems very rich, lots of action, good story. And we see pure evil in bilionaries. It's disgusting. And beyond that. Nice doggy scenes.Shady Sands looks like very nice city. Games look very nice. Show looks great too. Nice Indy reference scenes😂
I was having doubts, but I gonna watch it anyways Miss the end of the world
Ceasar's Legion wins? Not on my effing watch.
So Mr house either won and survived and something happens after new vegas causing the strip to shut down Or Yes man won and the player deactivated Mr house (did not not killed) and yes man went into reprogramming mode and still asleep right now until. A. Hank reactivates Mr house and sides with him And reactivates the strip B. He was working with yes man all along and how is the right to activate him and the strip
I think Mr. House dies either way if you kill him or disable him. The infections would kill him slowly as he would be left exposed to air. I'd lean towards the Mr. House ending and the NCR left to support whatever caused the "fall of the NCR" back in Shady Sands. With the NCR gone, it would allow more opportunities for raiders to attack and/or Caesar's legion to regroup and attack again. It's possible all the Casino inhabitants left or died in the crossfire leaving only securitrons and Mr. House around. With no one around, it would eventually start to decay and look like it did in the ending scene. I don't think Securitrons would be particularly adept and cleaning up collateral damage from continuous raids and fighting.
You know that Indiana could have survived that blast because of that fridge? I can't remember where but someone tested it and it is possible. The tumbling of the fridge and him not being able to open it afterwards would have been the things most likely to kill him. I know it doesn't matter but I find it interesting. Now a human swinging from vine to vine like a monkey?... But we're talking about a movie where they're trying to reassemble the skull of an interdimensional being. lol
The last part after the, but. Is the number one excuse people give for a bad script. 😂 every time

If the Legion has taken over New Vegas, why is Hank going there? Most seem to assume he wants to meet Mr. House. (Unless of course he doesn't know about the status of New Vegas)
You are the one that will solve the lore!
The likely scenario is there is a vault there with the higher executives of Vault-tec. It's possible it's Vault 21 that perhaps had one or more hidden vaults connected to it (similar to the design of 31,32,33) the very same one that Mr. House closed up with concrete (potential reason he closed it up). Either way, Hank is likely looking for a higher Vault-Tec executive like Barb Howard. It makes sense in that he just helped sow the seeds for a civilization to take root by helping activate cold fusion. The BOS will take over and it will be a major force to contend with especially now they will have infinite power which likely means they could start mass producing power armors and any number of technologies they have. Civilization will grow from that even if it's a militant form of governance like the BOS. It wouldn't be a stretch to say the BOS will make the Griffith Observatory their new capital base. Hank's logical move would be to seek out the higher executives to plan out a strategy to wipe them out of existence like he did with Shady Sands. He can't go back to vault 31 or 33 as they have limits to their capabilities as junior executives not to mention he would have Lucy, Cooper Howard, and the BOS on his tail that know exactly where those vaults are. His only option is to look for help elsewhere.
Bethesda doesn't have the balls to go for a Legion ending. Suits me just fine as an NCR fanboy, just saying that'd be an unusually bold choice for them to make. I just hope they don't cook up some alternative ending that'll be sure to piss off fans of all factions.
There is also a easter egg you missed about the dog, in one of the episodes the ghoul actually refers to the dog as "dog meat" I have to go back and watch again but i think he says something like "Let's go dog-meat" or something like that. I thought that was cool. Several other inconsistencies in your video too. Probably needed someone who actually played the games give you your research data. Not just pull it from the internet.
He says "you ain't him, dog meat." While the dog is resting with him outside the Red Rocket at night.
When are they going to show deathclaws Super mutants And do they go to Zion valley The pitt Point lookout Or Sierra Madre
For the sake of clarity - Todd Howard is not a "Long time developer of Fallout". He was brought on by Bethesda in 1994 as a Producer, and has been the Executive Producer/Game Director of the Fallout series since Fallout 3. While he is a developer, in terms of his skills and training/schooling, just wanted to clarify that he is not a "Long time developer of the Fallout Series".
I'd be pissed if my least favorite single player Fallout game's cannon was my least favorite faction in the entire series' existence. Caesers Legion was one of the least imaginative enemies every conceived. They already had a pseudo Roman culture in the BoS, why would they need another? It's because they didn't really think it through and people just accepted the unoriginal piece of repeating shit that the legion was.
Dale Cooper
Besides Deathclaw, I’m really looking forward to another monsters like Supermutants or Behemoths.
or Cazadors
Not many know about this but it would be cool to see the first generation Supermutants such as the Nightkin and learn more about the Master in detail. The first generation Supermutants are more intelligent than your most common second generation Supermutants, and not all first generation Supermutants are agro and feral. This is because the master selected only 'prime human' for his experiments making them more smarter than the later generations. Would be nice to know more about these 'experiments' in detail, FNV is 15 years before the events of the show, so in theory there could be some first generation Nightkin Supermutants in hiding.
i have been replaying FO4 after watching the show and I just came across the kid in the fridge last night for the first time, even though this is like my 40353598735th playthrough. hahaha
The question is: what did you do afterwards? If I remember correctly, you can just ignore him, bring him back to his (ghoul) family or you can even sell him into slavery ...
Yes man ending better be cannon
Agreed, the war between the NCR and the Legion took too many resources that both sides declined in power and the Player character was left to rule. Whether it was for good or evil, the player character dies or disappears, leaving Yes Man in the service of someone who replaces the player character, contributing to the decline of The Strip.

This is Looper, so there was zero research done, and honestly AI could do a better job. Nuclear weapons do a LOT less damage than we all assume. The overpressure would be survivable inside a fridge. The thermal blast would be survivable. The real question is the radiation exposure. The lead would need to be 2" thick to protect Indiana Jones in that scene (this is based on an equation, not made up). The myth of the damage of nuclear weapons is an important one, they will still destroy the planet, so everyone freaking out helps prevent us from using them. But a primary source of this myth is that buildings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were mostly made of paper.
