How did you like Season 1 of "Fallout?"
Never played fall out. Have always been preoccupied with final fantasy , but after watching the show I’m definitely gonna play the games now extremely intrigued

@@JoseDuran-jv4uu You're in for a treat. New Vegas REALLY shines in the DLC.
Walton Goggins's Ghoul is simply a masterpiece...
Walter goggins is Boyd Crowder end of story 😊
It's a great casting choice for sure!
Lets be real what makes fallout great is Walton Goggins playing as the ghoul and his past self, he steals the show evreytime he's on screen.
He looks as weird as a ghoul as his real self in the past, too.
To be honest, I didn't even really care about Walton. Sure he was cool. But I'm more so personally interested in the world it looks like they want to flush out.
The Ghoul was cool but for me the standout was Lucy, I absolutely adored her character.
I'm more interested in Lucy and the general world of Fallout. The Ghoul is cool too! love him, but I LOVE Lucy, and the details of the world. Also, I love the dog.
Looks like u don't know what reality is lmao
$150 Million for Fall Out but wasted $1 Billion on The Rings of Piwer 🤔 (sniff-sniff)
RoP is such trash. Tolkien's world is so rich in lore and mystery, it really shouldn't be that hard to create new high quality stories within it.
The main reason for the cost of RoP is most likely acquiring the rights....which they only had the rights for the hobbit, lotr and the appendixes of lotr.
Imagine If fallout has ring of power money IMAGINE
The plot of fallout isnt that great, at least if compared to the lord of the Rings. Fallout has strong elements of parody in its lore. Characters and factions are intentionally over the top. Don't get me wrong, i like the fallout world, but It isnt anything Life changing.
@@koop7266 fallout is better with a low budget. they are in a wasteland after all makes the big things pop more. like the prydwyn
Take some lessons Halo and Witcher show runners, this is how you satisfy fans who love their IPs
It's definitely too late for Witcher. They would need to start completely over.
AND it’s too late for ROP too I’m afraid. They need to just fire the show runners and writers and “fake” “actors” (there is literally no decent acting in that whole show) and blow it up, starting over with a whole new storyline and cast.
Its great new age of Fallout. Golf club boys, 😆 Lucy's with to lowe speech / retoric skill, 😆 Norm "small frame" perk,😂 but the best is conclusion of that story question: " Do peopel from the past should have impact on present / future" 🤔 They rly did great job with crude humor, detailes, actors, violence, a plot. Its the best tv show adaptation (not like rings of power or Witcher crap) last years. OFC there were mistakes too like that great scene of first episode where atomic blow and i was missing scen when children should say "dad what happen with TV" when screen should be blank from EMP impulse that scen should be betwen thumb and explosion. But they made small mistakes with only 1 big one : Why corpos who ruled the world decide to destroy world to rule it ? 😆 Is it typical flaw of capitalism ??? "Make it to borke" ? 😆😆😆 Cant wait sezon 2 with Lucy mezalians child (with mutated man from 1 ep not brown guy😆) and papa from Enclave. 😆 Lets hope sezon 2 will rock too. 😂
I never had time to play the game it’s just a really good show from my perspective.
Witcher season 1 is great but its not video game adaptation
The Ghoul steals every scene he's in; he's the best character since Lalo hit Better Call Saul, or Saul on Breaking Bad, or Ford from Westworld. Legend.
Walton goggins steals every show or movie he's in
Woah woah woah, let's be careful now. The Ghoul is legit and all, but that comparison is a stretch. At least comparing him to Lalo

it sucks, many inconsistencies with the lore and of course the blatant 'wokism' at every turn we've got the classic strong independent female Mary Sue, all white men being evil/imbeciles/cowards(and dying violently) etc then there's the obligatory white+black(no, not asian+indian or any other combination) relationship between main characters of course there's far more to unpack but people who know, just know
@@KoozwadThe Lore has never been super consistent, every entry has inconsistencies As for Lucy being a Mary Sue, you don't seem to know what that term means. The White Guys have always been villains in the Fallout Games, that's literally the premise of the series as a whole. Not to mention that Dr Siggy is a white man yet is portrayed as a somewhat heroic figure. And did I miss the scene where Lucy and Maximus hook up? Bethesda clarified the Shady Sands issue 2 days ago. The nuke cloud and the dated 'fall of shady sands' are not the same instance. 2277 is when Shady Sands starts to collapse and the NCR capital (likely in a governmental or economic sense). The nuke happens years later (likely 2283 or 2284, judging by the age of Maximus at the time).
Bascially "oops, we kinda screwed that up, let's come up with a story and release it :)"
@@DB-zp9un Or more likely "Oops, the fans can't read a timeline and prefer outrage over thought, let's release a statement so they calm down and actually understand". We knew back in New Vegas that the NCR was facing a famin and it wasn't doing so good so the fall of Shady Sands makes sense in 2277 while the bombing occurs after NV.

No. Todd Howard himself said the "fall of Shady Sands" doesn't mean the destruction of Shady Sands. 2277 was when NCR defeated the Legion and Mr House in New Vegas (which is 100% coming to season 2). But this huge battle of Hoover Dam caused NCR irreparable damage. Which started a decline of NCR and their capital city of Shady Sands. The town gets destroyed at a later date.
Correct. I don’t know why people jumped to that conclusion. “Fall of Shady Sands” arrow ~~~~> Boom!💥…that board shows key points in the history of that location. Event->, another big event, -->. 🤷♂️

Fallout is a diamond in the rough imo. And should be the standard for how video game adaptations should be. I’ll never EVER forgive that halo show. Bastards
You gotta remember Arcane/TLOUS hell Twisted Metal got a good one but fans of that series are a handful already
No Shady Sands was destroyed in 2080s, its pretty clear. "The Fall of Shady Sands" in 2077 is referencing the possible ultimate economic failing of the NCR. What's actually a little rough about the Shady Sands changes is that it appears that it was moved into LA Proper instead of being out beyond the mountains like it was in Fo1 and 2.
The economic collapse of the NCR makes sense even in FNV they have a funds and inflation problem. The collapse of new Vegas without Mr House binding the casinos together makes sense.
A lot of people still don't know how a timeline works
Honestly, the NCR deciding to relocate and call another place Shady Sands in the 100 or so years since it's creation isn't the biggest stretch of imagination.. It'd just have been nice if the chalkboard timeline had mentioned that relocation, considering how easy it'd have been to include
in New Vegas, the NCR was facing a Famine. it probably started in Shady Sands in 2277
Yeah, Shady Sands was basically on the northern edge of Death Valley National Park in Fallout 1. Fallout 2 moved it 100km west or so into the Sierra Nevada, since its map didn't go that far east, but still at about the same longitude. Relocating it doesn't really make sense either, since there's signs in the show saying it's the NCR's first capital.
‘A whopping 150mil budget!’ The whole of fallout cost 100mil less than a single Rings of power episode. 😂
This show is so good it makes me want to try the game!!! Not a gamer but I’m loving this universe and want more!

Fallout resonates with Americans because it feels like we’re about to eat cowboy birthday cake against a nuclear backdrop ourselves.
The 2277 thing isn't a "controversy." Some people just don't know how a timeline works. Shady Sands was nuked after New Vegas and before the TV show, confirmed by Todd Howard. Rome didn't fall in a day either.
that doesnt make sense though because if they were already collapsing on their own then why the nuke? if you saw the show you would know *why* they were nuked, and if they were already failing it kinda negates that
then why not say 2287?
This show really shows how much we really enjoy Todds games.
Wow, surprised Van Buren fans haven't jumped down your throat with dislikes and comments. I myself was introduced to the series through FO3's release, fell in love and played through all of them since and love this show as well, so he definitely did something right. Never got into the Fallout Franchise, but after watching the first few episodes, I bought the complete package on Steam. I love the Atomic Punk aspect of the game. I enjoy the optimistic "American Way" fantasy contrasting with the reality of the Wasteland. Human nature still is dark and tribal.

4:35 Thank you, Looper, for perpetuating a mistake that Oxhorn created out of thin air. There is no continuity error, and Todd Howard explains that 2277 and the explosion are two separate events on the chalkboard multiple times in various interviews.

Shady Sands is still completely relocated to the Boneyard, making it non existent.

We're getting good video game adaptation because the kids that grew up with Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat are now old enough to make video game movies and shows the right way.
I dont understand what took so long to take video game adaptations good
It took finding creators who are fans of the source material... Unlike some other attempts (the ones responsible for the Halo show didn't even played the game beforehand)
Steven Spielberg wanted to make a Halo movie over a decade ago. He is a gamer and Halo is one of his favorite games. Hollywood big heads think that video games are kids toys which is why most video game movies like doom, Mario brothers, double dragon etc. were just atrocious.
It's because it took an eternity for producers to realize that video games are a great art form with complicated writing for adults.
I'm suprised we have something made by Todd Howard that didnt take community mods or years of updates to actually get good.
Love the show! Had questions at first but did some digging into the lore and found that it was right on the money. With this show being set 19 years later in the timeline it will add to the ability of the dev to make more games for the next gen of gamers.
I binge watched the whole series 3 TIMES in 3 DAYS! I've never done that for anything and I've been watching TV and movies as my favourite hobby for at least 45 years as far as I remember.
Complete non-gamer here. I was halfway through the series when i realised it was based on a game! Really good series, cudos to the creators! Well worth watching for non gamers, good plotline, excellent performances, it has a feel o Westworld about it..
I loved it far better than i enjoy the Bethesda games . I am not agree this show is not great but it's good!
i just love anything about post-apocalyptic movies
Todd Howard said in an interview that they were quite careful with the lore and dates, and that everything still lines up, just some info isn't out yet. Regarding Shady Sands, he specifically said "the fall" is not concurrent with "the bomb."
Regarding the destruction of Shady Sands: if you look at the drawing on the blackboard, it says the fall of Shady Sands was in 2077, and then there is an arrow indicating more time passes before the next entry, which is the picture of a nuclear bomb. It probably could have been drawn more clearly, but when you look at the rest of the board and see that every event has an arrow leading to the next event, it makes sense that this is drawn the same way. Even Todd Howard has stated directly that they are two separate events and that the destruction of Shady Sands happens shortly after the events of new Vegas.
I loved the show and want more episodes
thats good point of "replayability" of tv show.... watched one time, but as it is only 8 episodes tightly packed with little details, better to watch again, rather than some 15-25 episode per season shows where that would be major chore.
The show was so good I couldn't stop watching it lol
The music is phenomenal too! Walter Googins Is perfect as a lovable villain! Lucy got me saying Okey Dokey a lot now lmfao. Even if you never played the games. Just look up a little bit of the lore and show is totally illuminating to watch. I watched it 3 times already and bought some merch stuff from the show
You missed a detail: Jonathan Nolan's Background. He wrote and produced Westworld, but more importantly wrote and made the screenplays for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and interstellar. Of course another elephant in the room is that he's Christopher Nolan's brother, but that doesn't affect much because he is also talented despite being his brother. Also, he produces his shows with his wife: Lisa Joy.
4:35 All they had to do was have the destruction of Shady Sands happen in, say, 2282 instead of 2277. That's all they had to do to make it not come across as a retcon. 5:05 Coop's Jakobs Unforgiven is awesome, but it should have a front sight. It used to, but it was removed for no reason. Actually, it was probably to make it easier to holster. 7:02 Gotta at least appreciate how they worked in the authentic backstory detail of how Doomguy "assaulted a superior officer for ordering his troops to fire on civilians."
The nuking of shady sands wasnt in 2277....the chalkboard shows "The fall of Shady Sands" Then points an arrow further down the timeline at a mushroom cloud. They are each their own timeline event, as if they were having some kind of internal struggles, or external threats, that culminated in the nuke a few years later. It falls just fine into the timeline for new vegas.
I literally dusted off my copy of Fallout 3 and threw it in to my Xbox One. Glad to hear I’m not the only one that got back into playing the series again!

Ive wanted to be a fan of the game, but the lore was lost on me and i tapped out, this show, plus sharing my excitment about it to a buddy who is a fallout fan since the 90s sent me on the rabbit hole and im starting with New Vegas and really enjoying it.
I mean for me as a 47 YO daily PC gamer. I loved the show. The feel was there. great characters. Pretty ok story. Lots of lore from the games. As a dude that played the first FO game on freaking DOS, i love the show. Wish there was more, but yea, you gotta truncate allot of content when it's not a game i understand that, so it is great.
Loved it.. made me start playing Fallout 76, and loving that too, overall.. great series.. To many seasons!
150million, thats less than what is put into most super hero movies. and this is long episodes shows too.
Do a complete season dump, was the smartest thing they could do. I'll be honest, if this had been a week to week thing, I probably would have stopped watching after a couple of episodes. It was interesting, but without having played the games, nothing really had an impact on me. And I really didn't know what was going on. Being able to binge watch it, is what made me a fan. Especially since, having seen the whole season, I can watch videos on all the lore and how it connects to this series. Something I wouldn't have done, before watching the whole season.
The blackboard didn’t say Shady Sands was destroyed in 77, it said it fell in 77 and was destroyed later.
if it fell than why was it nuked? the reason it was nuked was because it was a threat, a collapsed society is not a threat
I love the games and the show. It's a must watch
They got this show right. It encompasses everything we need along with a few new adaptations. It's brilliant
Now I wish they would make some of my favorite open world games into movies next, like Bioshock or Red Dead Redemption. If they paid this much meticulous detail to Fallout, imagine the lore and set design of Bioshock. would be an experience!
Can you even imagine how epic a Mass Effect trilogy would be? That game was basically a movie already. That would fill Theatres or be an amazing TV series - Guaranteed. After the fix of the ending of 3 the series has the most good-will amongst gamers. Someone has to pick this up - given the fallout series hopefully Amazon and Hopefully Jonathon Nolan's whole crew. Exemplary work and I think the Mass Effect Universe is even more fertile than the Fallout universe. Just the plot of the existing ME1 - ME3 would be an amazing adaptation. It's close to as rich as Dune in terms of world building. Certainly easier to film. I hope someone is listening. Luv and Peace.
There was quite a bit of lore breaking for this show to have such high accolades. Not horrible but not the peerless show it's purported to be. I think folks are rating it through the lens of modern crap, which does improve it in comparison.
It really makes me want to pay my prime membership fee....
when you stay true to the franchise that has such strong foundation, you get a banger!
Tons of newbie players trying out Fallout 76 on PC now, due to the popularity of the Prime series and Fallout 1st being free-to-try for a while. With a max of 24 players on each server instance containing so many low level players and so few higher level players it's difficult to get enough players who want to attend the events that pop up every 20 mins (most of which are aimed at higher-level players). Can't always get enough to do the more intense co-op events like Radiation Rumble & Eviction Notice which reward high XP & legendary drops. Not complaining about the situation, just an interesting by-product of the Fallout series popularity. Hope the newbies get to like Fallout 76 and stay with it as it's one of the less toxic MMO games out there IMHO, with quite a bit of depth and character development, but with reasonable (not the best) graphics.
The show did not say the bombs dropped on 2277 the board showed that sometime after the fall of the government a nuke was dropped on shady sands but the board did not give a date for when that happened.
I'm so happy and proud for Ella. She truly deserves all the praise she gets.
it felt like multiple playthroughs happening concurrently. and i mean that in the best way. so often i've wondered how my bloodthirsty murder hobo would be seen by my good guy playthroughs.
I loved it! The humor and the world building lore are wonderful
Fallout reminds us that companies like Vault-tech that profit over war do exist in real life. Large corporations owned by BlackRock is acting in the same manner.
It is also very important to mention the newest fallout game, Fallout 76 and how horrible the release was. It was a major blow to the franchise and was DOA. (Plenty of golden bug videos out there) Fortunately Bethesda never gave up on improving the game and adding content through the years. With the success of this show, that game has seen a huge wave of new and returning players jumping in to explore. It was a very important success that came out of nowhere!
It’s simple for the most part they kept true to the games. They didn’t try and change things for Director adaptation they didn’t try and adapt it to a different audience or anything like that. They kept true to the story they created some great characters. Obviously, the Cowboys and awesome character, but the main protagonist and her story how she grows and starts becoming a surface dweller Starts becoming the wanderer. What’s not it’s not 100% accurate people are going to argue but for the most part, it isn’t awesome adaptation and the set and the CGI costumes is so on point. I’ve seen so many failed adaptations that when I heard this was coming out I didn’t think nothing of it really but they have managed to blow away. Everybody’s expectations. On the keeping to the game, keeping true to the fandom and proving that if you keep true to the fandom, you will bring in new fans It’s so awesome that the franchise is growing and this will lead to more fallout games and hopefully movies even it’s always been one of my favorite franchises so I’m loving all of this
I was pleasantly surprised in the lack of THE MESSAGE in this.
Are you a bot? It's filled to the brim with the message.
