The people who throw out these rugs are normally the kind of rich people who rather throw out damaged/unwanted furniture and replace them with brand new ones instead of fixing them just because it's more convenient. Let a perfectly good rug sit in the rain and mud for just a few weeks and you get these awful soiled messes. Why do you guys always have to be so cynical? It's just a guy cleaning rugs, ffs.

  • As a guy who has cleaned thousands of rugs/carpets I say good job on the restoration of this one. That said though I have to wonder after all the washes and scrubbing how long would this thing last without fibers and backing coming apart? If it was really well made and fairly new it might last a little while. Secondly, you have to wonder is it worth it to waste that much water and time getting that thing clean? Obviously you are good at what you do but when do you say it's not worth the resources and time?
