Only a few ingredients needed to make this delicious coleslaw recipe. In my opinion, there is nothing better than some homemade coleslaw with homemade barbecue.

👩🏻‍🍳 HOMEMADE COLESLAW RECIPE
1 lb. or ¼ of a large cabbage
2 small carrots
¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
Juice from a small lime
½ cup mayonnaise

  • in place of lime, combine Pinapple tidbits and if no culantro, can use Celery stalks in small bits

  • Some grated onions takes this recipe to another level ( sometimes I even add a few raisins or dried cranberries)

    • You can use spring onions or chives instead of the onion. I sometimes cut a garlic clove and smear the preparation bowl before I add the ingredients; the coleslaw will infuse a mild garlic flavour without having the acrid taste.

  • Hi, looks very delicious. Very simple to make. I add some yellow onions and small pieces of apple for some crunchness 😋. Leave overnight in the fridge, tastes better the next day.
