Shred cabbage, cut up: carrots, celery,onion,
Dressing: 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp mustard powder, 1 heaping tbsp. horseradish, 1/2 cup half and half, 1/8 cup vinegar.....mix to taste...add salt and pepper.....pour over veggies.....mix and let sit ......

  • Hi dear. You video helped me recall my mother’s slaw. It’s been a long time since I had it and I couldn’t recall the recipe. Your recipe is so similar to hers except that she added radish, no mustard or horseradish , mostly mayo and something called Durkee’s and some Lawry’s seasoning salt. It was so yummy! I’m 70 now and what I wouldn’t give to taste her slaw again and see her shining face across the kitchen table. She’s gone now for a long time, but you brought back beautiful memories of that blessed lady’s cooking. Basic and filling. A son’s gratitude to you! Stay safe!🌹

  • Thanks!! Great video! The only change I might make is to add the seasonings to the mayo and cream mixture first. That way it gets mixed into the veggies more evenly. Also, grating the carrot works well too.
