  • I like these two just for the simple fact that they don't grunt. It's so weird only hearing the sound of the tennis ball being hit, which is music to my ears lol. Finally two young women that don't feel the need to shriek like a banshee every time they hit the ball

    @bagusdegus7290@bagusdegus72906 жыл бұрын
    • the "next gen" actually started a couple of years ago. belinda bencic got into the top 10 a couple of years ago as an 18 year old. then last year jelena ostapenko and daria kasatkina started making noise. ostapenko won the french open, but before that kastakina and ostapenko played in the finals at the volvo car open with kasatkina winning. now, naomi osaka is joining in the mix. without a doubt, there is a core of 20 year old players who are ready to take the wta by storm. naomi may be the late bloomer but i like her potential the most. she has the most athletic game of them all.

It is truly remarkable that even when they are no longer in the tournament the Williams sisters names are still on the commentators lips

Maria was her only real competition in the tournament if you look at all the scores from who she played, wasn't even close. But to be the best you have to beat the Best and she did. Well done. • her backhand is fenomenal, only thing I can think of to really improve: 2nd serve and (on clay) dropshot.

  • she reminds me of Hingis because of her court sense, her accuracy, her wrongfooting shots; the difference is that she is a much more powerful player....

  • Finally, two (young) rising stars in the WTA. I hope Daria Kasatkina would be Osaka's rival in the long run. Similar to the rivalries between Clijters-Henin, Davenport-V.Williams, and the Williams sisters.

    • Daria is good Player on Clay and delighted to watch it on grass. She has the touch. Naomi player's rivalry will be in my opinion. Aivaa, yastremska. Anisimova. Sabalenka.

  • Osaka will be the next champ, she will decrown the old champs with quickness and power hits. If a player can out-think the opponents he or she will win every time.

  • just when you thought that it couldn't get any better for the wta to have 2 up and coming 20 year olds announce their arrival by playing in the final of a premier event: serena and naomi are playing in the first round at the miami open. you can bet that the match will be televised in prime time.
