In this video, I take a look at the Heisman winners from 2000-2009 and rank them based on how their careers went in the NFL. Some did pretty well, while others did not. Why did some not succeed? Comment down below your opinion!

For those who are wondering, my next video will be about the 2007 college football season. Should be up in a few days!
Yes
KTO Don’t think for a second that you are depriving us of content. If I was you, I’d take my sweet ass time and make the videos 30 minutes. Regardless, keep going strong, man.
KTO can you do 2010 to now heisman winners
KTO it’s amazing how quick you upload videos good job
Thank you!
He should do a video where he ranks the runner up vs the winner
CMC vs Henry
that'd be awesome lol
Jason white, Larry Fitz
Or like how they did later in their career like In the nfl
Gino Toretta vs Marshall Faulk (1992) looool
The heisman has turned into a QB MVP award
Connor McCrusher I sang that with the voice
I think defensive player need a better crack at it
Pretty much. As long as there are QBs throwing for 4,000+ yards and 40 tds, or throwing for 3,000 while rushing for 1,000 with 40 or more combined tds, I doubt a pure defensive players is going to come remotely close to a Heisman. Not to mention there seems to be a sort of eastern bias in regards to Heisman winners. Mariota is the only one I can readily think of from recent years that came from a school west of the Mississippi that wasn't in Oklahoma, Texas, or California.
Same thing for league mvp
@@cooperjones686 A d-lineman would probably need 20 sacks, 80+ tackles, 10 forced fumbles, 4 or 5 defensive touchdowns, on a team with no more than 3 losses to even get invited to New York.
Reggie Bush: 10k All-Purpose yards 1x All-Pro 1x Super Bowl 64 career TDs I'd say he was a solid pro, had he of been utilized better and if the slot back position was as big back then as it is now..this man would have owned defenses lol.
Danny Wilson Jr. thank you I know i wasn’t the only one tripping when he put him at had moments like bush was good
I agree Bush was a solid pro for years. The guy who made this video is a moron.
J Q thats a bit too far
J Q he’s not a moron bro. Compared to his college career, he underperformed in the nfl
@@joemayo9514 He fully deserved to be considered "a solid pro", though. I think that's all people are saying.
Christian McCaffrey is what Reggie Bush was supposed to have been.
GeneralKayoss such a perfect call. Damn.
@Jim Johnson No he isn't, they're exactly the same size. 6'0" 205lbs
@@jonbarron8049 Agreed
GeneralKayoss didn’t he have the record for lowest bench press reps
Your a casual
The One Fluke Season category was just screaming Tebow’s name
Yeah... Unfortunately it was :/
Ya Boy Trev hell no, he wins games
Ya Boy Trev true 🤣😂
@@Vnzdriver He won 8 games
It wasn't a fluke?! He had a great season but never got another chance!! Tebow was robbed big time
You'd think with the history of heisman winners underachieving in the NFL, teams would stop expecting them to single handedly transform teams as rookies.
Yeah but media hype fools a solid 40% of teams which conincdently are always bottom feeders
They did with troy Smith. Think about your valedictorian in high school. Everyone expects them to do great. It's the same trophy but for football.
Exactly why the cardinals are fucked Murray shoulda just played baseball
That’s exactly why they fail: Teams blindly draft Heisman winners expecting them to be a savior, usually alone with little supporting cast and no regard for how well that player fits the team’s offense.
visit my playlist no that was pretty accurate, I guess it depends on your school
“Don’t always translate to the NFL” immediately cuts to Troy Smith I’m an OSU fan and I knew it was coming
Troy wasn't given a real chance
They did that man dirty. One game shouldn’t hurt your draft stock that badly. I don’t care who was playing QB for OSU that day. They collectively didn’t stand a chance against Florida.
If he didn’t get sick in training camp 2008 he would of started for the ravens
@@IllMatic97 agreed. Had he been drafted ten years later, I bet he could have had a shot at a real career. There was just such a stigma against short QBs in the mid to late 2000s and early 2010s. Which, is weird considering Drew Brees was tearing it up.
Nate Siems Michael Vick is the same height as Brees
I’m an OU homer and it still breaks my heart that Jason White never got to go to the next level. He now runs a couple of sporting clothing stores and helps runs a children’s hospital in Oklahoma and he’s known as one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
It’s sad to see good people not succeed at this level.
I’m sure it played out better for him in the long run. As someone suffering from football knees myself, I can’t imagine what kind of pain tolerance it would take to compete at that level week in and out.
Good for him but fuck the sooners #gopokes
4DhumanInstrumentality True. On second glance, his fate may have been best for him. No stardom to ruin his personality, no predatory agents and teams to trade him around and uproot his life on a whim, and no constant wear on his body over the years. Now he’s a successful businessman and philanthropist, and is one of the most respected men in the state of Oklahoma. Yes, it was probably for the best that he never went to the NFL.
Ou sucks at every sport
God if there's ever a 2010's list for this, I wonder what Johnny Football's tier would be named.
Obviously the G.O.A.T tier
He'll make the list the same way, get to Manziel then make like 5 more joke tiers then put Manziel below all of them.
Stupid tier
“cocaine and hookers”
Illiniguy34 the best
Lmao I'm only at 1:22 and I already know that "One Fluke Season" is directed at Tim Tebow Edit: YEP.
Funny that it is called a fluke but his last start was against New England in the Divisional round
Tebow could’ve been an early Taysom Hill with the right coaching
No. Just no. Tebow is too Bulky to return Kicks, Punts, be a WR and isn’t very fast
@@natecruz7114 I mean that he could've played a variety of positions. He thick so fullback, power back, TE, Qb. Obviously not exactly Hill though.
difference between the two is Hill is WILLING to play other positions
@@natecruz7114 he is an inch taller than taysom and only 25 lbs heavier. He could easily be compared physically to taysom hill. Tebow was slower, but if he dropped 20 pounds his 40 would drop too. Taysom ran a 4.44 40y and Tebow ran a 4.73 40y at +25lbs.
@@Twhitlock235 Yeah, I was disappointed when Tebow refused to play any other position. He could've had a decent career out of doing so.
reggie bush was the definition of a "solid pro' he was lightning whenever he touched the ball
Agreed, he was a good back. In new orleans he was sharing carries. Also alot of bad publicity over the agent shit probably got to him a bit. He could of started on almost any team. 10k in 10 years would definatley be a solid career
Exactly!!! Reggie was prime time everytime he got the ball. He just was injury prone but was most definitely a solid pro.
Reggie should definitely not be in the same tier as Bradford.
*in college*
He was a big part in that super bowl season, definition of solid pro
7:42 he literally threw it right to him like he was his wide receiver 🤣🤣🤣
It was tipped but still, yeah.
Tip dont mean much with an over throw like that
Bush belings in Solid Pro category smh so underrated in the NFL his stats were bad because in his prime the Saints used a 2 back system.
I met Eric Crouch at a football camp in Omaha. Still an amazing guy and I feel bad about him never making it honestly.
Ayden He should have committed to playing receiver out of the gate. Probably could have made a decent career for himself.
This just shows how big the transition from college to pro can be. You see most great college players running and dotting up defenses (I’m specifically talking about QB’s). When they get into the pro’s people get faster, and now they’re getting tackled, hit, and injured, which can end their career early.
daAnder71 damn, I’ll change that, ty
So why do lower level college players excel in the pros? (guys like Edleman..etc).
@@PastorTrue93 If I were to guess, it's because they have to work harder due to worse teams. That working mentality goes over to the pros and could help them.
@Xftbllplyr Thats what gets me because these heisman guys are playing the best that college has to offer but some of these lower level college players translate to the NFL better than Heisman players. the lower guys are usually facing lesser competition than the heisman guys
Even Alabama would get rocked nasty by the Bengals. Not all college players belong in the league. All the NFL players even on the worst teams belong on pro rosters.
Carson Palmer could have been a hall of famer if he didn’t blow out his knee in the 05 Wildcard game. The Bengals had a real chance that year too. Makes me sick every time I think about that Pittsburgh D lineman going low on him like that.
Well this aged poorly
@@V01cez how?
@@josephleocadio9228 because he’s a hall of famer now?
@@V01cez Yeah, a College Hall of Famer
@@josephleocadio9228 still in one though 😏
2:42 defender tries to tackle crouch Crouch: imma end this man’s whole career
I love the closing clip. As someone who grew up in bama while taking two to three trips a year to Nashville to visit my grandparents, that's why I'm a huge titans fan, Derek Henry is my favorite player right now.
Imagine stopping the second greatest receiver of all time from getting the heisman just to never make it to a team
not to mention a HOF QB, decent RB/WR, etc
The dudes knees were gone but doesn’t mean he didn’t have an amazing season or wasn’t the best in the NCAA. The sooners ran every play in the shotgun that year because his knees wouldn’t allow him to get under center and he still played amazing. Think about that shit before you say ignorant things
Larry Fitzgerald is all of a sudden the second greatest wide receiver now???
@@twilson3133 Stats dont lie
2nd greatest? Larry better then Randy Moss?
That Derrick Henry 99 yard run gives me chills every time #titanup
gotta disagree on Reggie Bush.. belongs in the solid pro category for sure
Timothy Whitlock no.....he didn’t have over a 1000 yard season and never made pro bowls or impacts in big games.
@@astoria9332 he had 2 1,000 year rushing season actually
@@astoria9332 He had two
Seeing Henry's 99 yard run never gets old.
Who else laughed when he said Tebows win over Pittsburg was the high point of skip Bayless's career
I told anyone who would listen that Tebow wouldn't be a good NFL QB, he then went off that season making me look wrong for a bit, SMH.
bernardthefourth makes you wonder what would have happened if they never went after Manning
@@kahlilpittman8404 nothing. KTO himself alluded to the fact that tebow wasn't even playing particularly well during that 6 game win streak. Was a lot of luck involved
@@kahlilpittman8404 He would be decent until he got hurt.
I was saying the same thing.. then he knocked my steelers out of the playoffs.. never heard the end of it from my bronco fan friends
As a rams fan, seeing Bradford is real upsetting because when you watched him play, you knew you was a legitimate candidate to be a future elite quarterback... Had the arm strength, accuracy, and read defenses well. Unfortunately, he was injury plagued and stuck with the docile offensive schemes of Steve Spagnuolo and Jeff Fisher.
@KTO- I stumbled across your channel the other day. I have watched similar style shows about the NBA, and this NFL version is quite entertaining. Keep up the good work!
I personally feel the meaning of the Heisman has changed. Its no longer “the best player”. Its just a QB award or the “most hype” award.
Matthew Hibbard It started with Manziel. The stats these spread QB’s are putting up are impossible to compete with. 4000+ yds passing, 30+ passing TD’s, 1200+ yards rushing. It’s like someone’s playing NCAA 2014 on Freshman difficulty.
You’re exactly right. It’s a popularity reward now.
Exactly, it’s why McCaffrey didn’t win it. He got robbed.
@@liammcelroy3741 No, lol, that was the year henry won it, and henry had 2200 yards and 28 tds, mcaffery that year had 2k yards and a good bit of receiving, but only 15 tds total, henry more than deserved the heisman that year
Barson Rebarb are you kidding me? 3,864 ALL PURPOSE YARDS. 461 IN A GAME. You know how many all purpose yards Henry had? 2,310 yards. More than 1,500 yards off. Even Barry Sanders only had about 3,200. No one has even come close to McCaffrey’s mark.

Ah the days of Tim Tebow/ Colt McCoy/ Sam Bradford. It truly was a great time to enjoy NCAA football
YO i commented this as an idea! thank you KTO for using it!!!!
Awesome video! Hope you do one for the 2010s Heisman winners
Dude for real. Your videos are so fucking great. I love your work man. Keep up your amazing work!
I’d argue that having “One Fluke Season” means you “Had Moments”
But Tebow is solely remembered for that only season while Reggie and Bradford were better long-term while putting up decent numbers throughout.
HipHopR&BLover Jon what has Bradford ever done in this league??? I’d take Tebow’s one season and playoff upset over Bradford’s entire garbage career
Joe Shmo Tebow only played a few seasons, had a 47.9% completion rate, 17 TDs (12 rushed), 9 INTs, 2,422 pass yards, and passer rating of 75.3. Bradford on the other hand played 8 years, had a 62.5% completion rate, 103 TDs, 61 INTs, 19,449 pass yards, and passer rating of 84.5.
HipHopR&BLover Jon fair enough but he still never had a single moment come close to what Tebow did against the Steelers
That’s what I was thinking
I need to stop watching your videos right before bed bc the ending always has me ready to run through a wall
Great video man! Keep up the work! At some point a really cool video topic would be "What College Football Program Produced the Best Pros?" You could add a timeframe or position group to it to narrow it down. Thanks man!
Thank for posting videos 3 days apart you are my favorite KZheadr.

Dude u have such great videos I can’t even explain.
You should do the top 5 college defenses or something like that
You literally just disrespected Reggie bush like that didn't you ?.......
That Heisman belongs to Vince Young
Pensacola Flyer Reggie was such an overrated NFL player
@@benjamingreear4429 he was just average
As always great job
Very fascinating article
As a Alabama fan I'm happy that Mark Ingram is really good in the NFL. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! 🐘🐘🐘
Now looking back at it, Tebow could’ve been a Taysom Hill if he really got chances from his coach
Now looking back, Tebow had way more stats than Taysom Hill has. Why would Tebow want to be a guy who did less than he did? I'm really confused why people act like Taysom Hill is this big fucking deal. He's dollar store Kordell Stewart.
Tebow deserved more then what he got. He basically got screwed. Turned a season around and won a playoff game just to be forever banished from the NFL?
I wish KTO would upload more. I love his videos so much and just want more of them
Your videos are awesome man
Hotel, Kid dies, Nuke is dropped, Trivago
You should do a tier list about every first round QB from 2000-2009.
Great video homie!
really interesting video. good job!
Matt leinart better be ranked in the best possible teir
'Got replaced by Kurt 'Grey Beard' Warner' tier
Why?
@@natecruz7114 it's a joke lol
I think his coach sacrificed the teams long term success and Leinart’s development by going with Warner. Once he retired he wasn’t able to get close to the success he had with him.
In every game I’ve seen Tim Tebow play, he was trash for 55 minutes but then somehow he would light it up at the very end of each game.
Thanks again KTO!
Keep Grinding KTO‼️
Damn man, being good in the NFL is no joke
When I see KTO I click
Your ranking videos are the best
Troy Smith against Michigan State the heisman year, the one play on like the 8 going in, the left side of the pocket collapses, straight shakes the defender pumps and throws a dart into the back of the end zone for the TD. I never saw anything like it before. I mean I have seen people try, but never do it so perfectly, like he had eyes in the back of his head, similar to the Manziel play minus the fumble. I grew up a USC fan so 3 of my guys are on here, but that is the play that I will remember my entire life out of all these guys, and maybe the Reggie Bush cutback against Fresno state.
As soon as I saw "One Fluke Season" I was like "oh that's for Tebow." It's a shame really, I do think he had the physicality to do exactly what Taysom Hill does awesomely, but I think he had way too much pride to settle in that third-string "you might get one or two plays" role. I guess if you can get paid just as much to shout your opinions at a camera, why not?
Tebow didn't have the mechanics or skill to be a QB and didn't have the humility to play tight end or running back and maybe have had a decent career.
Do the 1990s Heisman Winners
And 80s
I'm sure everyone wants a video on the history of their favorite team but as a mountaineer I would love to hear your take on the WVU football program, the ups and downs, the missed opportunities, etc. I love your videos btw.

There needs to be a category between hof and solid starter. Sth like "really good" i would put palmer there for example.
Eh idk, in this list he’s next to Mark Ingram and that’s okay considering Mark Ingram has had a decently baller career in the NFL so far. Making too many tier lists for such a short list of people would make it weird.
