Thank you so much for following our journey! I'm delighted We hope this film will inspire you to be bold in your adventures in whatever form they come. Fun fact: I don't have a computer fast enough for editing so I created this whole documentary on a public computer in a library in Helsinki.
that is insane LOL i was wondering how your computer handled a 1hr+ film. props to you for the hard work man! what an amazing tale edited, shot and soundtracked to perfection
Oodi to the rescue, such a fun little fact!
Extraordinary ❤ Beautiful filming❤ Refreshing ❤ Exceptional ❤ One small question - How did you go to Delhi, India from Kazakhstan/Tajikistan😊 i suppose it wasn't cycling
respectii äijille tää on huikeeta
No promotions. Not one “word from our sponsors” No free bike gear from anyone. Keeps it so authentic guys. Valé 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks! My dream was to have this displayed at some documentary film festivals but I don't have the copyrights for these songs. Thankfully it seems to have found it's audience here on KZhead!
i know a dude who had a similar issue. he still had the project file for the software he made the film with. replaced the song with free music and stuff... asked artists for permission and made a another export. then he handed it in. though i have to say.... your choice of music is fantastic. it would be a huge downgrade... thx for this film!@@alvaripoikola
I'm sorry, but fucking what? KZhead randomly recommended some Finnish dude with literally 216 subscribers who has posted a video of them cycling to motherfucking Singapore from Helsinki. And it's a GOOD video too.
I love that I am reading this comment as he sits here with over 3,000 subs just a month after you wrote this. Great to see that it had an impact because this is such a well edited movie!

My thoughts exactly. This was by far the best stuff Ive seen in ages. A great big thankyou to you guys for sharing your impressive adventure, nice job, on all levels I can think of. ❤️❤️🙏
you forgot to mention your bollocks
Raw, authentic, no jump cuts, no social media clout and no drama. Just some awesome guys living their best lives. Loved every minute of this!!
I agree, but there were definitely jump cuts lol, if there were no jump cuts this video would be months in length
That. Was. Awesome. You know when people hit the smallest bump in the road or obstacle and they put on dramatic music and make a big deal out of nothing and it just pisses you off? This was the opposite. It was understated, and beautifully filmed. And Scored, the music was so good. What a ride, what a film, thank you 🙂
Thank you for your kind words:)
That comment made me want to watch this. So many BBC nature documentaries in the U.K are filmed in an in-your-face bombastic style, presumably to appeal to an American audience (previously I only saw this style on American nature documentaries). Everything, every small moment, every explanation has to be like an action film.
Has to be said again, “That. Was. Awesome”!
So true.... THX for this movie !! :)
💯
That was the best bicycle touring film I have ever seen. The choice of music, the drone shots, the editing were all amazing. The kindness of fellow humans was on display as in most touring documentaries. But what I liked the most was the companionship of the two Finnish cyclists. While I am sure there were issues between the two at times, they genuinely seemed to appreciate each others company. The two riders were always open to the adventures that lay before them. There was an ease to their travel. They did not seem to care about time. This was two young men, in the prime of their lives, DOING what most of us have only dreamed of.
I couldn't agree more.
I totally agree. I watch a hell of a lot of cycling films to give me ideas for my next trip, and I thought I'd seen the best by now. But then this! Well done guys, what a film!
I agree 100%
I suggest watching Martijn Doolaard 2 years on a bike. He cycled from Vancouver to Patagonia. Amazing 3 part documentary on KZhead.
This is tragically underrated
It feels that I could be your grandmother... Aged 67... I thorougly devoured your one hour filming, so artfully completed... Nothing better to have seen as yet. Cool, brave, clever, true. Hail to your frienship my lovely kids from Finland. Enjoy the best in your lives, cycling around the vast beautiful world or whatever. I used to cycle to my job every day for seven years, in my hometown, Thessaloniki Greece, some thirty years ago... Thank you again for the shared happiness.
This is a masterpiece. On of the best cycling films I've ever seen.
I just wrote the same thing!
Oh brother, where to start. 8 years ago I've cycled from Europe to Asia, Bangkok being my destination. You have encapsulated pretty much everything of what such trip does to oneself. From highest highs, when you feel like the One with the Universe, to the lowest lows when you're sick and tired and want to quit. It's a beautiful story of what living is about, the human nature, and possibly of what the purpose of our lives is, which is to explore. Although the views during such trip are jaw-droppingly beautiful and magnicifent, I found human interaction, kindness, humbleness, and open heart to be the most special/sacred experience along such journey. Don't believe the news; good people are everywhere and people want to be good. I thank you for something I haven't captured myself. It brought tears of joy on my face as I recalled my own experience, which feels to me like it was a year ago. I'm curious to see how you return back to society, to a "normal" living... the next chapter awaits. All the best. Namaste. Michal Kowal
Thank you for taking us in this journey, ya'll fellas rock. Very glad to have met you Alvari.
Thank you Upid. All the best to you my friend, I wish you well!
I strongly wanted to do a bikepacking trip around the world, this film motivated me like none. I got no bucks, no plans but ONE THING IS FOR SURE. I WILL SEE THE ENTIRE WORLD ON BIKE. Thanks for creating this wonderful film! GREAT INSPIRATION
Thank u for this amazing film! So well scored! I hope it goes viral. In the 1980's I did a solo, self-contained world cycling trip, and your film took me back to those amazing, indescribable feelings that the long distance cycle tourist lives out on a day to day basis! (I also hiked the Anapurna circuit.) I started my tour by dipping my rear tire in the Pacific ocean in Oregon, then 7,500km later dipping my front tire in the Atlantic in Boston, Massachusetts. I then flew to Brussels and rode to Nordkapp, then took a ferry to Scotland and continued on down to Madrid for a total of 8,000km in Europe. Then I decided to get serious so I flew to Alaska and pedaled to Tierra del Fuego!, which took 21 months and was another 30,000km. I rode down the east coast of South America through Brazil, and was met with amazing hospitality in every country I passed through. You guys are very talented film makers and drone pilots, and I hope u do another bike trip and make another film soon.
Some day I want to do something similar to this, I'm just curious. How much did this cost you? And how did you acquire food/water along the way, and do you have any tips for how to prepare for a trip like this?
that is one epic and inspiring trip dude
absolutely BRILLIANTLY done. no blabbering about every little issue, no turning it into a hollywood production with pointless vfx, no sponsors waffle etc. This is the kind of video that should be on yt, not the trash that people regularly upload to make money from. Well done you guys
Yeah, guys! Luis (Lewis) here. It’s great to finally watch your documentary! What an awesome journey you guys had. It was a pleasure meeting you in Thailand and Singapore. It brings me a lot of joy to get a glimpse into your journey, and it also triggers throwbacks to mine. It’s funny to see that you’ve encountered some of the same people I met. At least I also met the guy at 13:13 too😆 Save travels and best wishes!
where is your documentary 👀
Luis! It was a pleasure meeting you too in Thailand and again in Singapore. I recognise getting throwbacks while watching a documentary, I recently saw Sunriders' documentary and so many forgotten memories came back. All the best to you too!
@@raphaelpircher8619unfortunately I’ve never filmed enough for a documentary, but maybe I’ll make a short video soon😄
Well i've tentatively caressed the edges of the youtube bike touring rabbit hole, gone balls deep into it, fumbled my way around the inside, stubbed my toe on a few edges, and found my way out the other side with this incredible video. By far the best i've seen! I think i'll call my youtube journey there and go find an adventure of my own. See you out there ma dudes :)
I challenge anyone to find a compliment that beats this one. See you out there. ❤
I feel you @stomperproductions. Watching a trip this epic makes me yearn for a fraction of what they experienced.
Epic. What speaks most to me is your willingness to let gregorie join you on what seemed to be quite a personal journey for you both. Beautiful
Holy fuck, what an adventure. Beautiful storytelling, cinematography and music, possibly the best thing I've ever seen on youtube.
Every once in a while a cycling video comes along and it takes your breath away. This is that cycling video! Such great scenery, story, the cultures, and music to accompany it. Well done!
What a journey, guys. I wish I were 10 years younger so instead of jumping into uni, studying, work I could've done a year like this first and foremost. What an education it must've been for you!
older people do it too! there is still time
Best thing I ever did was jump out of college after two semesters and going on my own adventure. I wasn't feeling the college education at all. I did an internship and experienced what it would have been like to work as an engineer in corporate America and I just decided that it wasn't for me. I left college despite everyone telling me that it was a stupid thing to do. I enlisted in the merchant marines, jumped on a container ship in Norfolk and the rest is history. After two months onboard I had enough cash to jump off in China and go on my own adventure. I raced cars with some Russian gangsters down the streets of Vladivostok, I partied with geishas in Japan, I did modeling in Vietnam, I worked as a SCUBA instructor in Thailand, I spent a year just going from island to island in Indonesia far away from civilization fishing and eating coconuts with an Australian girl. The best choice I ever made was leaving college behind. Some people live but are never truly alive. I don't want any of the things that my friends who continued on with college and are doing the corporate gig have. I listen to their stories and it just sounds so dreary. It's been 16 years since I decided to ditch college and go experience life. I have no regrets.
This is easily one of my favourite videos. Such a feast. Thank you. ❤
Cycled 1500km last October and really enjoyed it! Can't even comprehend the length of your journey!...
Thanks for this awesome movie. I convinced my gf to do Spain to Singapore and this movie really got her excited. I owe you one guys!
That's the most beautiful cycling film I ever seen. So awesome places. Enjoy it!
There are a lot of bike tour videos on KZhead, but only a few are really good. This movie is one of the very good ones. My compliments!
Huikea filmi! Tää tuli vahingossa feediin ja onneksi katsoin. Mahtavaa kuvausta ja musiikkia. Tunnelma reissusta välittyi läpi koko pätkän. Toivottavasti itsekkin pääsen joskus tulevaisuudessa, kun elämäntilanne sallii vastaavalle pidemmälle retkelle! 💪💪💪💯
🇫🇮 👍
those drone shots are sick, a couple of landscape looks surreal!
I am reborn! Just 2 minutes into the video and I am so happy and touched and moved... It's like I'm on a bike, on a journey, on a ride of this funny lovely life!
Thank you so much for this video and for sharing!
This video deserves >1M views, great work mate!
You guys lived the dream those months!! Best video I have seen in years and that from a channel with only 1k subs!!
Whaaat THIS WAS AMAZING!!! :D I have watched million cycle touring videos and the best from the all comes from two finnish guys!! :D I can't believe this.
I can't express how much I love this video, this journey, this story, this concept. Was heartbroken when the video ended!
Wau! Tajuttoman kova suoritus jätkät. Video production off the hook🎣 Varmasti elämänne seikkailu. Tsemppiä kaikkeen tulevaan ja innolla ootetaan uusia seikkailuja.
Huhhuh! En yleensä jaksa katsoa kokonaan näin pitkiä pyörävideoita kerralla, mutta tää meni heittämällä. Hienoa tarinankerrontaa, todella kaunis visuaalisesti ja hyvinkin sopivaan mittaan saatu tiivistettyä noinkin pitkä reissu. 5/5
I'm an 18 year old student in the US that's planning embarking on a similar journey (solo) next September. This video has inspired me tremendously and serves as even more encouragement to go out into the world and LIVE. Cheers from Boston. To life!
Keep us posted. I wanna do something like this but on a motorcycle instead.
Aivan kertakaikkisen upea video. Uskomaton suoritus, älyttömiä maisemia, ihmisiä ja tilanteita. Kiitos tästä❤
Amazing journey - and even if it's still the beginnign of the year - I am sure this is one of the most inspiring films of 2024!
Extraordinarily out of this world there Vallu, Alvari and also Greg.
Inspiring trip. ❤ No exaggerations, no clickbait, no typical social media crap. Just a great trip with two super likeable guys (and at times a funny Frenchman) who are the best example of why I would like to be a Viking too.
So good: bike riding, visiting new places and living vegan! Nothing better! So good! 💪🏽🌱✌🏽
Brought back so many memories guys as well as tears in my eyes. I cycled in the 80-s from The Netherlands to New Zealand as much as possible overland. So much adventure and pleasure I see back in you video. Thanks for sharing!!!!
I really rarely comment on anything but this was breathtaking. Both the journey and the filmmaking were on another level! Incredibly talented and a brilliant feel for timing
Wow. The atmosphere you managed to create within the first 2 minutes is amazing. Brings back so many good memories.
Amazing documentary, as a fellow cyclist I felt the pain emotions and joy, well done lads.
This was so inspiring to watch. I cycled 4400km from Malta to Sweden in 41 days last summer and this really moved me. It makes me wanna go on another bicycle trip. Your filming and editing was amazing too, I appreciated that. It's not easy to cycle in such elements and document it as you go. Thanks for this. You deserve a million views.
Amazing journey! Thanks for sharing! Someday i will have my own adventure and live a tale worth telling.
Wow, what a gem. So nicely put together. No drama, friendly, fresh calm and exiting film. 10 pistettä! Hyvin tehty!
Seriously, guys, I think this was the best adventure video I've seen on youtube since youtube was born! Loved every second of it. The amazing views and music combo is a masterpiece! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure!
Good Job Guys, best Bikepacking movie i've ever Seen. Perfect mix with talking, music and filming the countryside. Made me feel like just jumping on the Bike and let's go
How incredible 😍. Beautifully filmed, well dialogued, amazing journey. ❤ from Espoo. You guys are truely awesome
Been following you guys on Instagram since Romania. Such an intense trip, guys! Much respect for how you handled all these obstacles, flat tires, water shortage and what not! Especially impressed by how you kept a positive spirit when things were tough! Thanks for taking us along with this awesome documentary!
It's rare to come across a self-made cycling documentary of this quality. Great camerawork and beautifully edited. But it is really the the story of the journey, through so many different environments and to a better understanding of yourself that makes it such a compelling watch.
From Denmark: Well done guys and masterly filmed. That was a spectacular feat. Keep on biking and enjoying life. 3 years ago I shifted from my KOGA bicycle + trailer to a Trike. Although I am 80 years old, last year I biked with my ICE SPRINT FS Trike + Ziflex Monowheel Trailer in tow (NO EL Assist) from Ebeltoft (Jutland-Denmark) over Gothenburg-Stockholm to Turku-Helsinki (stayed 2 weeks at Rastila Camping) and back to Stockholm, further along the east coast to Gotland-Ystad-Bornholm (DK)-Køge-Lolland-Falster-Ærø and back to Ebeltoft. Enjoyed very much the stretch Turku- Helsinki and being 8 weeks in Finland. Your positive attitude toward overcoming the encountered hurdles and spirited good humour gives the video many rays of sunshine, even when sometimes the rain was pouring down. All the best.
Thank you so much for sharing your absolutely amazing journey 🙏🏻
I clicked on this video, saw that it was 71 mins long and thought I’ll watch for a bit and save to watch later. 70 mins later and I’m still watching! 😂 Such a great film. Well shot, edited and polished. Epic journey guys. Well done. Can’t wait to see what you do next. 🤘😎
Wow, what a trip... and just gorgeous editing 😎
This is the best video i've seen on the internet since years. Thank you so much for sharing this epic journey. You guys are freaking legends.
It's an abomination that this channel doesn't have more subscribers. Instantly subbed 👍
Wow. What a great film. The images, the music, the adventure. So well made. Fantastic stuff. Congratulations.
This is truly a masterpiece and a grand adventure, it's crazy!! Over the course of three days, I watched it multiple times and showed it to many of my friends because I believe everyone should see it. And it is so beautifully crafted, editing, music, the narrative, pace, it is plenty to learn from you guys. Thank you for taking me on this journey as it brought me so much joy.
Thank you, what a triumph! What I learned: the world is a beautiful place that rewards those who get out there and explore it; and, doing so will inspire the better self in you, and in others.
Incredibly well done! I am loving it! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
That's incredible. You have earned so much respect. greetings from Turkey. ❤️🙏
Tätä on odotettu! Vaikka ei Netflixiin yltäny nii on varmasti nätti filmi 💪
Thank you Alvari and Vallu for sharing your amazing adventure! This is the best YT video I've ever seen. Kiitos! Upeita ja turvallisia uusia reissuja 😊
The most impressive bicycle trip adventure i've ever seen. ❤
Thank you. This is perhaps the best world cycling film I’ve seen. You guys are great.
Videos like this got me started on KZhead. Absolutely perfect! And the clapping scene had me laughing big time!
Amazing journey captured perfectly! Thank you!
Glad you loved Romania, my home country and yep, unfortunately more and more bears have been seen in recent years, however I'm glad the cars were able to help you get through safely. I've been flirting with the idea of pedaling such long distances for a long time, but now I'm actually feeling more inspired to start planning a trip eventually. Keep up the good work, and the documentation is really nice, fun, inspirational, it makes you wanna be there with you guys along the journey! 😊
Incredible journey, thanks for sharing that with us!

I believe he was sarcastic? :)))
This could be one of the best videos I've ever watched on KZhead, the camera shots were unreal that hour and 10 minutes absolutely flew. I'm so glad this came up on my feed will be recommending this to who ever I can !
Thanks for sharing this wonderful film. The composition of music, storytelling, editing, graphic design and drone footage is super beautiful!
Awesome vibes and very well documented! Thank you.
best cycling documentary I've seen in a long time, well done!
Kiitos Guys. What a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing this video with us. Amazing.
one of the most amazingly shot travel stories i've seen, looked like a beautiful journey!
Stands out positively from all the cycling documentaries out there! Congrats guys! What an amazing journey! 🏆 Toivottavasti poikii hyviä juttuja jatkossa teille!
One of the best videos I've seen this year! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
What an awesome adventure to watch! I enjoyed viewing this on a Friday evening after a stressful week. Congrats on your accomplishment! ❤
Congratulations guys! Amazing journey, excellent production. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
Oh man! That was really frickin' impressive. And thanks for cycling through Poland. Love!
Brilliant video, thank you guys. The camera work and the journey make an inspiring story. The remoteness and the Finnishing in Singapore gave me goosebumps. Two beautiful friends spending 8 months together leaves me breathless with admiration. Thanks again.
Like I usually do with these kinds of long bike videos, I clicked through it at first. However, after having watched a few minutes of a part in the middle I realized I had to start over. Just got done sitting through the whole thing like a great movie. Really awesome job gentlemen. What a journey. Thanks for taking us with you.
Bonjour Alvari et Vallu, Fantastic job you did in summarizing a year in a handful of minutes. Started watching your documentary and time flew, without noticing it one hour was gone. Old anorak here (but Yotto fan), sadly too old for that kind of adventure, but pretty sure I can still pedal, at a slower pace than you did, starting in Bulgaria, northbound, all the way up to Finland. At least, your film gave me te incentive to try.
Simply epic! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us
One of the greatest cycling vids I ever saw! Amazing. Great filming, great attitude, great music. You guys are amazing, well done!
You really took us along in the journey in this beautiful film. It felt like a dream. I'm feeling inspired, thank you guys.
Thanks to the google algorithm that brought up your video! Only 112 subscribers! Classy production. Loved it.
What a wonderful film, one of the best I've seen on YT. A real adventure, beautifully filmed and edited and great humour throughout ❤
subbed for the intro alone 💚 watched the rest, incredible! unmatched video, thank you both
Fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing journey.
Thanks for sharing your adventure guys , lots of respect from a Belgian admirer !!!
Well done! Thanks for sharing your amazing trip with the world.
Wow, guys! That was amazing. Sooo well done. Loved every minute.
Thank you for these beautiful pics and this impressive video - thx for taking me along on your ride
Just WOW! Loved every second of this. Amazing journey, truly inspirational
Simply brilliant. Thank you for documenting this and sharing with us. It took you through some amazing parts of our planet that few in the west get to see. I'm awe struck.
So good!! The landscape shots were amazing, im so inspired to do a bike ride trip of a life time. Thank you🙌
