I can understand how life can get in the way of making videos for youtube. family and business comes first. you do have a beautiful plane and it's nice to see you keep your plane in good shape.

While a routine flight might seem boring and unexciting to you, for those of us who don’t own an airplane (outside of Microsoft Flight Simulator) but have a passion and interest in aviation, getting to be a virtual guest passenger with anyone going flying is always an exciting and rewarding experience. Even watching a routine, uneventful flight always provides a great learning experience. Much can be gained simply from observing someone going through the process, and seeing what their thought and decision process is. Seeing how they react to circumstances along the way. There are many things that happen in the real world that a real pilot has to consider and manage, even during a routine flight, that may not be evident in a simulator. So, share your experiences, and let us decide whether it was worthwhile or not. And thanks for all the videos that you have shared.

I sure appreciate the effort you put into your flying videos. I own a cessna 150 and seeing your videos in the Mooney and now the Baron is something I really enjoy. I definitely have glass envy with that Garmin panel! Even if the flight is “boring”, anything over 85 kts for me is exciting to see 😂 Thanks again for the quality channel you’ve created! Matt

Thank you for the compliments. I own a Cessna 150 with my brother. It’s what I have been flying with my Baron being down. Having any airplane beats driving!

Question for you on your panel. I have very similar. Does your 275 and 500txi auto switch cdi to loc when shooting an ILS?

Yes, it does. Although it has to be set up properly to do it. Assuming you have a 275 and a 500 TXI and a GTN 750 or a 650? If so, your dealer has to turn all the CDI sync settings to “Always On” and the GTN has to have the ILS CDI Capture setting set to auto-switch. The GTN setting is the only one that is accessible through normal pilot menus.

@@cliffordburgoni949 what auto pilot and airframe? This is a bit of a tougher one we’ve seen that before in a GFC 500. Garmin has a whole checklist for troubleshooting that issue to run through. We’ve had one plane we did everything on and it still hunted IAS. Seems like if you get stabilized in a VS climb first then transition to IAS it mitigates to some extent.
