This is part three of a four part flight from Philadelphia area, to Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, Sedona, Phoenix, and back.
In this video I fly from North Las Vegas airport, to a breathtaking landing a top of the elevated mesa airport of Sedona Arizona, and then I continue on to Pheonix Sky Habor International Airport.
I have a passenger on board with me on this flight and I used the 1 hour ground hold at North Las Vegas to provide a short overview of the flight controls, engine levers, and avionics instrumentation.
The landing at Sedona is the highlight of the video, make sure you do not miss it. Anyone that knows Microsoft Flight Simulator will be familiar with this airport as it is highlighted in the training lessons.
When I landed at Pheonix Skyharbor Airport they were only landing on runway 8 which is all the way on the north side of the field. I had to taxi clear across one of the busiest International airports in the US. I sped up the taxi footage and eliminated radio chatter not directed at or from me, but this part of the video will give you a taste what it is like to taxi clear across a class Bravo airport in the middle of a busy day.

    • Awesome video but a weird observation...why does the spinner on the right engine sit higher than the left? As in the spinner is not flush with the cowling if that makes sense.

    • @@aviator_josh the left engine has the air conditioner so it’s cowling has a a different shape for the airflow into the AC.

  • I enjoyed this series. I fly from AZ to KVGT for biz a few times a month and also KSEZ for fun. I have an Ovation 3 and looking for a Baron 58. You provided some great insight as to the differences and important equip considerations. Thanks for a great video.

  • I'm a new subscriber. Older guy but back in the day had commercial single-engine licenses. I like watching aviation videos but in this one I liked watching your right seated co-pilot better.

  • It has to be a bit nerve wracking following the big birds. Enjoying your flights. Comfy ride and smooth landings. 😁

  • Good to see you again. I followed your X-country flight with your father, in your previous Mooney. Always something to enjoy and learn in your adventures!

  • That’s a sweet panel for an older Baron! Did you think about getting a late model pressurized Baron?

  • Which system is giving you voice control? That’s a really nice feature to have especially for ATC playback during complicated taxis

    @evansneath@evansneath6 ай бұрын
    • It is a Garmin GMA 35c remote audio panel controlled through the GTN 750. Voice control is called Telligence. Here is the guide: static.garmin.com/pumac/190-01007-50_b.pdf I also often use it in the air after I get a ATC handoff, I'll punch the new frequency in, and then playback to hear which approach or center I was being handed to. I often miss that because I'm focusing on the frequency, not the name.

  • I notice some chips on your rotor blades. Hopefully that doesnt conflict with an anything.

    • The props are not chipped, you are seeing peeled paint off the back of them. Happens flying through rain, etc.

  • Does your plane have altitude compensating fuel pumps? If so, would you still have to lean manually for density altitude?

    @daviddefelice6997@daviddefelice69976 ай бұрын
    • I don’t have altitude compensating fuel pumps. So I’m not too familiar with their operation.

  • Hey I need insurance quotes, my people have been ghosting me. After 10yrs of paying for insurance it's taking 3weeks to get a damn quote. I've already lost the deal on the airplane
