@@aza5871 fallout 76 set the stage for what companies can get away with, it wasn't the start but it is where the bar level is set. Then came cyberpunk to set what is considered company failure point. What I don't understand is how come 2042s beta "an older version of the game -EA" on my xbox one worked better than the full release. In the beta you could shoot out lights and make the room darker but in the full game? Nope.

THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR as bad as Fallout 76, and cyberpunk wasn't even that bad lmao. Yall just try to play these games on outdated systems that can barely meet the requirements to run it. Out of my 20 hours of battlefield 2042 I've ran into no game breaking glitches. Since day one of my 50 hours of cyberpunk I ran into one glitch where I had to restart my game. Stop trying to run 2021 games on your 2014 PlayStation 4 and maybe you wouldn't run into issues. Fallout 76 was horrible because it was an unfinished game, not cause it was glitchy. It was a barren land with nothing to do, nothing to interact with, no point in playing. Cyberpunk has a story, and dialogue they try to push you through. It has a reason to play the game and make you continue till the end, they have NPC's to interact with around the world that give you different endings and send you on new quests for different weapons. They bring you into the whole cyberpunk atmosphere and make you invested in the world around you. Fallout 76 doesn't try at all to do that, instead they try to get you to spend 20$ on their new Christmas skin for your character. Its like trying to compare apples to lasagna. WHY are yall comparing a Massive Multiplayer FPS to a fucking RPG game, 2042 is nowhere near as bad as BattleField 5 and is honestly pretty fun. Y'all just feel the need to bitch and moan about everything

@@jakemills936 There is actually. The difference being that (with preordering) your giving money to a company making a possibly awful game. With waiting for release, you *aren’t* giving money to them, and only receive it *if* you decide to buy it at launch, and if you don’t then they never get that money. There’s a reason people say “vote with your wallet.” If you do not pre-order games from Ubisoft, it’ll teach them to stop showing fake gameplay; if you do not pre-order games that only use cinematic trailers, it’ll teach companies to show actual gameplay. And if you do not buy games that are super broken and buggy at launch (or just suck) then it teaches companies to stop releasing games that… you know… suck or do not even work at launch. Just because the wait time is different does not mean there aren’t implications (and benefits) for choosing to purchase a game later.

@@Kervvy there is literally no reason to pre-order a game. The original purpose of pre-orders was to reserve your physical copy back when games could actually sell out. Now you just download everything so it's impossible for them to sell out of digital copies of the game. Pre-ordering is pointless now.

@@krisz195 You're not completely wrong, but it's 100% justified to feel burned by this game in its current state. 2042 was supposed to be the redemption arc for the series, but instead we get a hot watered down mess of a game. Even worse they nostalgia baited everybody with that, frankly brilliant, reveal trailer while nearly all the mechanics from BF3/4 are gone/butchered beyond recognition. We can all agree the game is not where it needs to be right now, at the very least.

@@GoogleAids moments. Yesterday I went up the elevator at the last rush objectives and I armored our squad up and a dozier put his shield up to protect us as the doors opened. As the doors opened I got 2 rifle kills and a condor was hovering right in front of us and my squad mates rocket killed it and then we took the last objective. It was awesome and the game is full of awesome teamwork epic moments like that but people just want to be mad and hate.

huge difference. BF4 was a good game on launch with good maps and a plethora of weapons. It had horrible bugs etc though. BF2042 has terrible boring and poorly designed maps. pretty much 1 gun each. and about 100 other things that sucks about it that will never be fixed.

I never buy games new but have been a lifelong battlefield fan and went for it. Battlefield V was the beginning of the end and this is just outright offensive. Now everything is a rush for sniper spots, or lame gadgets like grappling hooks etc.

This reminds me of a documentary final I did my freshman year for a digital media production class. I procrastinated hard and ended up doing it in a day, and decided to make it on how shitty the faculties were in the dormitory hall I lived in. I went around to capture some footage and lo and behold, everything was in the most perfectly, absolutely shite condition it could be in; every washing machine had error codes, the bathrooms had no soap or paper towels, and somebody left a ridiculously oversized dump that clogged one of the toilets. Just like my dorm, when shit is what you need to capture, Battlefield delivers.

EA has a reputation for at least the last 15 years regarding rushed-to-launch beta titles. But honestly, the generation of frequently released new titles I think is quickly becoming history with “Free-to-play" becoming absurdly successful. Make all free skins look like 💩 and everything paid 🤑 look like 🔥💍😍. The upside to this style of game is frequent updates to keep interest, considering I played shooting games for the shooting game like Counter-strike:Source or BF1, now players get bored if they aren’t buying the flavor of the month with 💰 💵. The real corporate assholes have really only shown up on mobile games where skins go for $99-1000 in CODM and PUBG, how much longer till this is just the standard for console and PC as well? Wait… didn’t I just read a headline about this game contending with the idea of Free-to-play? 🤔🤣 good luck guys, the future of gaming will make you feel poor if you are poor.

Honestly Insurgency Sandstorm relies heavily on teamwork/communication and there’s no hud besides compass. You can die in one-three shots depending on caliber used and if you equipped light it heavy armor, also shot placement.

You'll have to use mouse and keyboard in two recurring instances while playing: You need a mouse in the menu (rundown menu and loadout) and you need a keyboard when you're interacting with terminals in the game (you type keyboard commands into their "DOS" prompt.) Other than that, you can use a controller for everything: Moving, looking, shooting, crouching, jumping, switching weapon, etc.”

I did have a trailer experience like this before, I was going over a hill, a helicopter was going down in front of me, bullets were flying everywhere, soldiers were yelling and screaming in pain. I made it halfway over the hill and then died. That was probably the most trailer like experience of the game I ever had since. I didn’t make it but

life-long BF fan here, been playing since '42 and for me personally the saddest part is not even the bugs and glitches and the unfinished state. Obviously these are deal-breakers to some, but the diehard BF community just really really REALLY wanted a new modern BF game regardless of the launch state. What really kills the whole thing is the lack of Battlefield SOUL, I don't know how else to put it. Mindlessly copy pasting not even the good parts but the real shitty bits of CoD is a capital offense, jumping on the current bandwagon and being ALWAYS LATE with it, this time with the needless fucking operators is just so.... sad. It seems there's no people left there who actually get what BF is about. It certainly isn't about a butchered class system, not about braindead oPeRAtoRs with the cheesiest fucked up one-liners ever, and definitely not about aimlessly ramboing around without even being able to play the objectives correctly because of the messed up squad system.

What always amazes me is how games will either market themselves either with purely cinematics that will never come close to gameplay or make it so there in-game footage looks clearly staged to represent a “random average event.” The level of epicness that wants to be sold is never something that can be captured before launch, it has to be something left up to the players to create, and if the game truly is epic then authentic moments will follow. Example: BF1 has some of the most memorable large scale battle moments for me, guys on horses, trench warfare, giant boss-level support vehicles, old school planes, bizarre guns, bayonet charges, just to name a few things. The magic of the game is what develops because of what the players make it to be, not because of what they are told it will be.

ThatBeeKeepingShark Titanfall 2 was actually I game I never even knew about and maybe wouldn’t have cared about, found on a PS sale and bought it, played it (could be life events at time) and loved it, sure some COD mechanics, but all done in their own way and guns that I have been dying to play again if my HDD didn’t get fried, I’m lazy lol. But I want to play number 1 to see how it began, I don’t mind when games take ideas and make it their own, taking ideas and expecting same feedback on another game sucks. That is one game I consider not giant AAA even if it is, but one of the most fun last gen games I ever played!

What I don't understand is how come 2042s beta "an older version of the game -EA" on my xbox one worked better than the full release. In the beta you could shoot out lights and make the room darker but in the full game? Nope.

Out of my 20 hours of battlefield 2042 I've ran into no game breaking glitches. Since day one of my 50 hours of cyberpunk I ran into one glitch where I had to restart my game. Stop trying to run 2021 games on your 2014 PlayStation 4 and maybe you wouldn't run into issues. Fallout 76 was horrible because it was an unfinished game, not cause it was glitchy. It was a barren land with nothing to do, nothing to interact with, no point in playing. Cyberpunk has a story, and dialogue they try to push you through. It has a reason to play the game and make you continue till the end, they have NPC's to interact with around the world that give you different endings and send you on new quests for different weapons. They bring you into the whole cyberpunk atmosphere and make you invested in the world around you. Fallout 76 doesn't try at all to do that, instead they try to get you to spend 20$ on their new Christmas skin for your character. Its like trying to compare apples to lasagna. WHY are yall comparing a Massive Multiplayer FPS to a fucking RPG game, 2042 is nowhere near as bad as BattleField 5 and is honestly pretty fun. Y'all just feel the need to bitch and moan about everything

With waiting for release, you *aren’t* giving money to them, and only receive it *if* you decide to buy it at launch, and if you don’t then they never get that money. There’s a reason people say “vote with your wallet.” If you do not pre-order games from Ubisoft, it’ll teach them to stop showing fake gameplay; if you do not pre-order games that only use cinematic trailers, it’ll teach companies to show actual gameplay. And if you do not buy games that are super broken and buggy at launch (or just suck) then it teaches companies to stop releasing games that… you know… suck or do not even work at launch. Battlefield 3 will always be my favourite battlefield, the amount of real gun battles and power struggles I’ve had at maps like grand bazaar and operation metro are crazy, especially in rush with the last few tickets remaining, even conquest..

Now you just download everything so it's impossible for them to sell out of digital copies of the game. Pre-ordering is pointless now.

@@krisz195 You're not completely wrong, but it's 100% justified to feel burned by this game in its current state. 2042 was supposed to be the redemption arc for the series, but instead we get a hot watered down mess of a game. Even worse they nostalgia baited everybody with that, frankly brilliant, reveal trailer while nearly all the mechanics from BF3/4 are gone/butchered beyond recognition. We can all agree the game is not where it needs to be right now, at the very least.
God playing this Beta was like being stabbed in the chest. I put so much faith into this game but the Beta was so fucking shit.

@@GoogleAids moments. Yesterday I went up the elevator at the last rush objectives and I armored our squad up and a dozier put his shield up to protect us as the doors opened. As the doors opened I got 2 rifle kills and a condor was hovering right in front of us and my squad mates rocket killed it and then we took the last objective. It was awesome and the game is full of awesome teamwork epic moments like that but people just want to be mad and hate.

Haven't played Battlefield since Battlefield 1 like 5 years ago so when I played the beta, I actually couldn't believe what I was playing. The trailer had me so hyped because it was actual gameplay.
It was Battlefield 4’s disastrous launch that first taught me a harsh lesson about broken games. It turned into one of the greatest FPS games after about 3 years, but I’ll be damned if I get sucked into paying $60 to be a beta tester again. Dice/EA are straight up fraudulent. Absolutely screw 2042

huge difference. BF4 was a good game on launch with good maps and a plethora of weapons. It had horrible bugs etc though. BF2042 has terrible boring and poorly designed maps. pretty much 1 gun each. and about 100 other things that sucks about it that will never be fixed.

when i saw the helicopter slam into the side of the tower, and the explosion form around the surface of the wall, and the debris shot off in random directions, i COULD NOT WAIT to actually see this in game. i still cant wait to one day see a good game like what was depicted in that scene.

I never buy games new but have been a lifelong battlefield fan and went for it. Battlefield V was the beginning of the end and this is just outright offensive. The fact they would release it with this many issues and just shrug their shoulders knowing they will get around to making it a functional game over 2 years blows my mind.

@@NitroCorn i literally just rage quit and told my wife how much i miss BFBC2 or older titles like 2142 etc. The pacing, and everything even back in BC2 when it was becoming super fast paced was done so much better in earlier titles. Now everything is a rush for sniper spots, or lame gadgets like grappling hooks etc.

This reminds me of a documentary final I did my freshman year for a digital media production class. I procrastinated hard and ended up doing it in a day, and decided to make it on how shitty the faculties were in the dormitory hall I lived in. I went around to capture some footage and lo and behold, everything was in the most perfectly, absolutely shite condition it could be in; every washing machine had error codes, the bathrooms had no soap or paper towels, and somebody left a ridiculously oversized dump that clogged one of the toilets. Just like my dorm, when shit is what you need to capture, Battlefield delivers.

EA has a reputation for at least the last 15 years regarding rushed-to-launch beta titles. But honestly, the generation of frequently released new titles I think is quickly becoming history with “Free-to-play" becoming absurdly successful. Make all free skins look like 💩 and everything paid 🤑 look like 🔥💍😍. The upside to this style of game is frequent updates to keep interest, considering I played shooting games for the shooting game like Counter-strike:Source or BF1, now players get bored if they aren’t buying the flavor of the month with 💰 💵. The real corporate assholes have really only shown up on mobile games where skins go for $99-1000 in CODM and PUBG, how much longer till this is just the standard for console and PC as well? Wait… didn’t I just read a headline about this game contending with the idea of Free-to-play? 🤔🤣 good luck guys, the future of gaming will make you feel poor if you are poor.

Honestly Insurgency Sandstorm relies heavily on teamwork/communication and there’s no hud besides compass. You can die in one-three shots depending on caliber used and if you equipped light it heavy armor, also shot placement.

I did have a trailer experience like this before, I was going over a hill, a helicopter was going down in front of me, bullets were flying everywhere, soldiers were yelling and screaming in pain. I made it halfway over the hill and then died. That was probably the most trailer like experience of the game I ever had since. I didn’t make it but

This feels staged, it's so perfect. And yet it's completely believable
life-long BF fan here, been playing since '42 and for me personally the saddest part is not even the bugs and glitches and the unfinished state. Obviously these are deal-breakers to some, but the diehard BF community just really really REALLY wanted a new modern BF game regardless of the launch state. What really kills the whole thing is the lack of Battlefield SOUL, I don't know how else to put it. Mindlessly copy pasting not even the good parts but the real shitty bits of CoD is a capital offense, jumping on the current bandwagon and being ALWAYS LATE with it, this time with the needless fucking operators is just so.... sad. It seems there's no people left there who actually get what BF is about. It certainly isn't about a butchered class system, not about braindead oPeRAtoRs with the cheesiest fucked up one-liners ever, and definitely not about aimlessly ramboing around without even being able to play the objectives correctly because of the messed up squad system.

Unrealistic gameplay. You weren't immediately killed in a hail of gunfire the second the elevator doors opened.
What always amazes me is how games will either market themselves either with purely cinematics that will never come close to gameplay or make it so there in-game footage looks clearly staged to represent a “random average event.” The level of epicness that wants to be sold is never something that can be captured before launch, it has to be something left up to the players to create, and if the game truly is epic then authentic moments will follow. Example: BF1 has some of the most memorable large scale battle moments for me, guys on horses, trench warfare, giant boss-level support vehicles, old school planes, bizarre guns, bayonet charges, just to name a few things. The magic of the game is what develops because of what the players make it to be, not because of what they are told it will be.
Ya thats what was beautiful about titanfall 2 cause the trailers where mild compared to the actual gameplay most the time

ThatBeeKeepingShark Titanfall 2 was actually I game I never even knew about and maybe wouldn’t have cared about, found on a PS sale and bought it, played it (could be life events at time) and loved it, sure some COD mechanics, but all done in their own way and guns that I have been dying to play again if my HDD didn’t get fried, I’m lazy lol. But I want to play number 1 to see how it began, I don’t mind when games take ideas and make it their own, taking ideas and expecting same feedback on another game sucks. That is one game I consider not giant AAA even if it is, but one of the most fun last gen games I ever played!

During the beta, I once got stuck in the hole of the elevator. It went up without me, leaving me behind. The doors were closed so death was the only escape xd. The funny thing is that one of my teammates spawned with me and we started tea-bagging each other there.
