So Sheikh Hassan Ali, with your statement that Isa did not die on the cross because Allah changed his form to that of an innocent person who was about to be crucified, it means that Allah is sinful. How could Allah kill innocent man.... Not even the Koran knows who was crucified. God did not reveal who the innocent man who was transfigured into Isa was. Allah is not omniscient. Many Muslim scholar have many interpretations who was the innocent crucified.

When Christianity is true, God came to us in human form to redeem us, and that show the love and grace of God, Islam denying this love of God for His creation is one of the bigger blasphemies in Islam. The Sheikh is on the right path of redeeming Islam, hopefully he continues his search for Christ.
I am a layman and a weak muslim but years ago when I read those verses it really did not bother me or even fry my brain...I just understood it as "Esa (AS) was not killed and crucified...I just believed that because Allah is all powerful, wise and all knowing, he can do anything and to make these enemies believe that they killed Esa(AS) is simple for Allah. How Allah did it is in the knowledge of Allah. Go back to the time of Moosa(AS) when those magicians made their ropes and sticks appear to be moving and alive like serpents, the crowd saw that and believed it, then the truth from Allah that was given to Moosa(AS) destroyed their lies and deception. So Allah can make anything appear to anyone and which ever way he wants.

This is found in the Gospels which are confirmed (if you believe the Qur’an) as the eternal and unalterable (incorruptible) word of Allah and which Christians had with them and should judge themselves by. (QS 18:27, 5:43, 5:47, 3:3-4, 6:115 and 7:157). It's the Qur'ans dilemma! Does the Qur'an know WHY the Jewish high priests wanted to have Jesus crucified in the first place? I agree with you Sheikh, I got the same conclusion when I research this subject. But after I studied the methodology used by Sheikh Imran Husein for studying The Qur'an, I accept his view on this. The very fundamental problem I think is located on the methodology, so that's why there are several different interpretations on this subject. It will be wise if Sheikh Yasir give some comments on the methodology for study Qur'an used by Sheikh Imran Husein, because many of Sheikh Imran Husein opinions differ with mainstream ulama is caused by his methodology. But I'm very happy that many scholars in Islam right now is put some of their intentions on Sheikh Imran Husein Lecturers. May Allah bless for all our ulama.

Well I see my self as a student of sheick Imran and I do 100%accept his methodology and his views.However on this topic of cricifixion I will defer with Him regarding the unambigous statement of the ayat on the topic.becoz according to sheick Jesus was crucified but did not die. and the Quran handled death and crucifixion separetly and all were a NOT. The sad thing about crucifixion as said by Ahmad Deedat and confirmed by the book chronicles of the Roman empire, 'a crucified person is always exzibited completely nude for the public, I am certain Allah willl not allow for d nakedness of prophet Issah (Jesus) to be dehumanised to this nasty extent. Crucified & crucifixed has different meaning. To be crucifix means you have been out on a cross/ hung and (not) die. The individual is in a state of coma or near death from the torture method of the cross and still alive. To be crucified means you have put on the cross and (die) from your torture/wounds. The Quran says: They did not kill him nor was he ((crucified)) (but it was made to appear so) My itijehad (as I am entitled to one as recommended by the prophet saw) is that it was made to “appear so” meaning Isa (as) was in a state of coma but Allah swt later returned the soul in the cave in the same manner as when a individual is in a deep coma at a hospital then Allah swt raised Isa (as) body and spirit to the heavens for a while. A individual in a coma is not considered dead by the hospital staff. My question is how can Isa(as) return in his second coming if he died on the cross because every soul must taste death.. (my response to the Christians) To say another person took isa (as) appearance is false and is not a character of a merciful Allah to punish a innocent person that no body has truly identified in the first place. ( my response to my Muslim brothers & sisters) Allah is most wise, most reasonable ,and most merciful. Allah knows best.

So Sheikh Hassan Ali, with your statement that Isa did not die on the cross because Allah changed his form to that of an innocent person who was about to be crucified, it means that Allah is sinful. How could Allah kill innocent man.... Not even the Koran knows who was crucified. God did not reveal who the innocent man who was transfigured into Isa was. Allah is not omniscient. Iv spent almost 20 years working daily and in great detail regarding the Prophet’s sirah PBUH & as such needed to dive deep into many Quran tafsir and hadith sharh works. My humble assessment about shiekh imran is that he is inshallah smart and sincere but unfortunately lacks important tools regarding Quran and Hadith including good arabic . May Allah guide us all to the correct path

I respect Sheikh Imran Hosein, I learned a lot from him. I would advise him whenever he interpretes a verse in the Quran he should say Allah knows best at least. Brother, just one thing Imran Hosein is not the only one who interpreted the verse that way, Ahmed Deedat (ra) also interpreted it that way.
In his lectures sheikh imran always mentions that only allah knows best which wasnt shown on the clips. You can visit his official channel to find many 1+ hour long vids and he always mention it. Bismillah may allah forgive us all from mistakes and sins

Friend, Jesus Christ clearly stated that anyone who DENIES his crucifixion is inspired by SATAN. This is found in the Gospels which are confirmed (if you believe the Qur’an) as the eternal and unalterable (incorruptible) word of Allah and which Christians had with them and should judge themselves by. (QS 18:27, 5:43, 5:47, 3:3-4, 6:115 and 7:157). It's the Qur'ans dilemma! Does the Qur'an know WHY the Jewish high priests wanted to have Jesus crucified in the first place? Only SATAN would DENY the crucifixion. Jesus said-referring to his crucifixion- that SATAN would be DEFEATED at the cross: “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (SATAN) be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all men unto me.” John 12:31-32 If you DENY the crucified Jesus, you will die in your sins (John 8:7). It's a decision between eternity in heaven or in hell. SATAN hates the power of the crucifixion because it is FOR us and not AGAINST us. It is the power of salvation. ‘From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, SATAN! According to Christian tradition Jesus was in Cave for 3 days and 3 nights. That means that Jesus was killed and brought back to life after 3 days and 3 nights in the cave. This means that Allah did not say the truth , Euzubillah, when He said "They killed Him not".

Not necessarily true, Imran Hosein has the credentials, valid eschatology and knowledge in itself comes from God and through people who critically think regardless of "epistemology' which was introduced by agnosticism and theologians . Also this Sheikh follows the deoband approach to methodology. Whereas the founder of the deband and its school in the sub-continent was the same individual teacher was a devoted follower of Abdul Aleem Sidiqque. (i.e Imran Hoseins Teacher)

His point is that Allah takes the soul of every believer when they sleep, and if he chooses death for them, there soul does not return back to their bodies. So he is asking Allah to Be saved from dying in his sleep. Ameen

In Quran 5:117, Jesus is not asleep but he is clearly telling God "When I lived among my followers, I know" but when you CAUSED ME TO DIE, then only you are watcher over them. I have watched many of Sheikh Imran’s talks, he has taught me a lot about the evils of interest, how riba has destroyed many nations, including Muslim nations. He is popular because he makes it clear that interest is haram, that interest mortgages and loans are not permitted for the true believers. Most Muslim scholars won’t talk about interest or the Dajjal, hence the Shiekh is very well respected. I disagree with his opinion on the crucifixion however, he does not mind if people disagree with him. I hope he comes back to to classical interpretation, as the matter is clearly addressed and interpreted by the early Muslims. May Allah forgive us and guide us, ameen.

Many scholars will make mistakes, but to make huge mistakes, often totally against Islamic teachings, is irresponsible and misleading the people. If he’s calling their acts or works pathetic, then that’s between him and Allah. I agree in that he shouldn’t direct comments at an individual. I guess it also depends on the scholarship of the individual, as many don’t have knowledge, they side with culture or secular beliefs.

So why should I listen to someone else qhen the quran says clearly not to follow any other book? Why do you have to refer to other books to understand the work of god if he said he made it easy to understand? Also the quran said it was given in Arabic for everyone to understand right? What I don't understand is that if I try to read the quran I cannot because I need to understand Arabic right? Because as Muslims always say, 1 word has different meaning depending on the context. And you also say all have to be careful about every translated versions. That's why you have to go to the references, right? So how can Islam be for everyone if the 1st thing for a man to convert into a religion is to understand. But how is it that it is nearly impossible to understand it? If 2 of the people who have said to be the main explainer of the qura why do they have different explanations when I comes to the crucifixion?? So if the quarn is the word of Allah, and these other are just explaining, then why not just follow the hadifs?? Nothing makes sense.

The brother in the video completely misunderstood Sheikh Imran Hussain when he mentioned death and Allah taking the soul and returning it. Sheikh Imran Hussain said that death is defined when Allah takes a person’s soul and doesn’t return it. Can Allah return a person’s soul? Of course! In many cases people’s souls are returned and therefore they don’t die. When Sheikh Imran Hussain said “School boy return and learn the Qu’ran” he was trying to say that some people when they’re about to die have their souls returned and get to live on like a second chance and for these people to take this second chance and learn and follow Islam through the Qu’ran. The brother in the video disagrees with Sheikh Imran Hussian about taking Jesus’s body off the cross and putting it in a cave and sealing it off… That part I agree with. Sheikh Imran Hussain gave an explanation without any reference to the Qu’ran. He basically said what he thinks is the situation but there is no textual basis. When doing something like that, you have to state very clearly that this is your thought and not directly from the Qu’ran or Hadith. Sheikh Imran Hussain is usually very clear and gives references to everything so this is surprising. However, he is very passionate and very angry at people for not being critical of the Qu’ran and I think this is one situation where his anger got the better of him. In the end Allah knows best so unless this matter males or breaks your beliefs, say Allah hu alam and move on. We will know what happened when Jesus returns inshaAllah.

The verse ends by saying, it appeared to them. To me it seem like someone was put up the cross as Allah says it appeared to them. Allah knows only who was put up. So Sheikh Hassan Ali, with your statement that Isa did not die on the cross because Allah changed his form to that of an innocent person who was about to be crucified, it means that Allah is sinful. How could Allah kill innocent man.... Not even the Koran knows who was crucified. God did not reveal who the innocent man who was transfigured into Isa was. Allah is not omniscient. There was no clarification here. Even if the definition of “crucified” is different - this does not take away from the fact that, according to the Quran, all martyrs who died for the cause of Allah - they don’t die but it seems as if they died. There- Jesus in the Quran is the example of a martyr who is rewarded by Paradise. If you claim that Jesus didn’t die but Allah deceived people - that would associate Allah with devil who is the deceiver. Most Muslims of today make this association- and Imran Hosein just makes people aware of how blasphemous it is to believe that Allah deceives AND murders innocent man in exchange for Jesus.

Friend, Jesus Christ clearly stated that anyone who DENIES his crucifixion is inspired by SATAN. This is found in the Gospels which are confirmed (if you believe the Qur’an) as the eternal and unalterable (incorruptible) word of Allah and which Christians had with them and should judge themselves by. (QS 18:27, 5:43, 5:47, 3:3-4, 6:115 and 7:157). It's the Qur'ans dilemma! Only SATAN would DENY the crucifixion. Jesus said-referring to his crucifixion- that SATAN would be DEFEATED at the cross: “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world (SATAN) be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all men unto me.” John 12:31-32 SATAN hates the power of the crucifixion because it is FOR us and not AGAINST us. It is the power of salvation. ‘From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He [Jesus] turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, SATAN! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23 Any attempt to "save" Jesus from crucifixion would have been SATANIC. Why? Because Jesus knew the details and purpose of his crucifixion in advance. According to the law of Moses, without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Jesus says, "just as the Son of Man did not come to be SERVED, but to SERVE, and to give His LIFE a ransom for MANY.” Matthew 20:28. Jesus is the SERVANT of Isaiah 53 of the Jewish scripture (written long before Rome, Paul and Nicea) who bared his soul unto DEATH and bore the SINS OF MANY. Isaiah 53:12 Tanakh Jewish Bible Unfortunately the Qur'an is either ignorant of or deliberately keeps Muslims ignorant of the tradition of sacrifice for salvation through the Day of Atonement and the Passover (in the Torah) and God's instruction to Abraham to offer Isaac (not Ishmael) as a sacrifice. These were shadows of the real sacrifice to come. If you DENY the crucified Jesus, you will die in your sins (John 8:7). It's a decision between eternity in heaven or in hell. Not even the 5 pillars of Islam will save you, for in reality the Hajj of the Hajr e aswad (which "expiates sins") and the takbir "Allahu Akbar" is IDOLATROUS, an ABOMINATION and BLASPHEMOUS to the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Leviticus 26:1) 'Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who PIERCED Him.
