    • @CellInTheOn brother, salafism isn't a sect. Those who are salafi follow the quran and the sunnah with the understanding of the three favored genarations, the sahabi, tabi'i and tabi tabi'i. It is a way to distinguish us from the deviant sects. They also consider themselves true muslims, but by saying we are salafi we differenciate ourselves from their deviances so that it is easy for muslims to understand the right path.

  • In Islam there are many different sciences: Fiqh, Aqeedah, Hadeeth, Quran, etc. The four prominent madhabs; hanafi, maliki, shafi, hanbali differ in fiqh, all of the imams of these madhahib are upon the same Aqeedah. Following one of these madhab doesn't disqualify someone from being a follower of the salaf. Unless they take it to the extreme of blatantly disregarding sunnah in favor of a mistake their madhab made. We love the Madhabs and have Gheerah over them, but we remember that they were human beings and made mistakes as all of us do. May Allāh guide us all. I remember when i first got introduced to salafism, I got excited and was so full of zeal but at the time I then didn't do my due diligence and made mistakes similar to what this brother talking to Imam Tom made. My advice to anyone seeking knowledge, is.... keep seeking knowledge lol, Hadani Allāh wa iyyakum.

  • In Indonesia also most people who have not learned about sunnah well, they will point at a woman like me as a "Wahabi" or "Salafi" just becoz I wear a very long loose hijab, niqab, and socks to cover my feet. I just feel it is ridicilous to label muslims with certain names while our main purpose of being muslims is to follow what is written in Al-Quran and sunnah from our Prophet Sholallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam no matter what mazhab we follow. We should respect all Imams in the mazhabs no matter what mazhab we follow. Most Indonesian muslims follow Imam Syafi'i mazhab but there is a masjid here in our area in West Java named Masjid Imam Ahmad bin Hambali which provides massive sunnah dakwah for the ummah, alhamdulillah.

    • It's ironic that following the sunnah often viewed negatively. I simply grew out my beard and people seen me as a wahabi. These people likes to twist the sunnah according to their own desire. I often gets asked to shave my beard to look "nice". And that it's only "sunnah" as if its okay to abandon it. I answered, exactly because its a sunnah that I do it. Islam is not there to restrict you, it's meant as a guidance. A lot of people seen ibadah as a chore, which is sign of low iman. And to solve it there's nothing can be done except that you study islam correctly. Not from some misguided imams that ties themselves with organizations and sects, but from the Al Quran and Sunnah itself. Meaning the salafi manhaj

During this period, it was recorded that at least 13 schools of jurisprudence (among Sunnis) were born with their respective imams, namely Imam Hasan al-Bashri (d. 110 AH/728 AD), Abu Hanifah (d. 150 AH/767 AD ), al-Auza'i (d. 157 H/773 AD), Sufyan ats-Tsauri (d. 160 H/776 AD), al-Laits bin Sa'ad (d. 175 H/791 AD), Malik bin Anas (d. 179 H/795 AD), Sufyan bin Uyainah (d. 198 H/813 AD), ash-Shafi'i (d. 204 H/819 AD), Ishaq bin Rahawaih (d. 238 H/852 AD ), Abu Tsaur (d. 240 H/854 AD), Ahmad bin Hanbal (d. 241 H/855 AD), Dawud azh-Zhahiri (d. 270 H/883 AD), and Ibn Jarir ath-Thabari (d. 310 H/922 AD).

  • This golden period was also marked by the beginning of the compilation of fiqh and ushul fiqh books. Among the earliest fiqh books compiled in this period were al-Muwaththa' by Imam Malik, al-Umm by Imam asy-Syafi'i, and Zahir ar-Riwayah and an-Nawadir by Imam asy-Syaibani. The first book of jurisprudence to appear in this period was the work of Abu Yusuf, a student of Abu Hanifah. However, it has not been arranged systematically. Besides, this article did not spread widely. The first person to discuss this issue in a truly scientific manner by uniting various rules of ushul fiqh was Imam asy-Syafi'i with his book entitled ar-Risala. During this time, the theory of ushul fiqh in each school of thought emerged, such as the theory of qias, istihsan, and al-maslahah al-murlahah.

  • Understanding Schools According to Arabic, madhhab is the name of eating (description of place) from the root word dzahab (to go). So, the mazhab linguistically means "place to go", namely the path (ath-tharîq). Meanwhile, according to the term ushul fiqh, a school of thought is a collection of mujtahid opinions in the form of Islamic laws, which are extracted from detailed postulates of the Shari'a as well as various rules (qawâ'id) and foundations (ushûl) that underlie these opinions, which are interconnected with each other. others so that they become a unified whole.

  • It’s actually so funny that ppl nowadays will called themselves this type of Salafi, yet they not qualified or knowledge enough to be one. So basically their most likely just blindly following one individual, comparing that to a Madhhad that has been around for hundreds of years and has had 100s of scholars working to reinforce and improve it as a whole. Take your pick, I’m confident most are going to humble themselves and pick the latter.

However, they developed rapidly during the golden age of Islam, namely from the 2nd century H/815 AD to the middle of the 4th century H/1009 AD in a period of 250 years under The Abbasid Caliphate was in power since 132 AH/749 AD. A prominent characteristic of this period was the high spirit of ijtihad among the ulama, so that various ideas about science developed.

I am a student of knowledge but even if anybody was a salafi majority of ppl follow a school anyways. If there is something in the school i find that goes against the sunnah i will reject it and look for a reference that is stronger in a different school. I am also careful not to do fatwa shopping . I went to a madrassa that was kinda misguided because i realized a few years ago they were super deobandi in their beliefs and even until today they read their faze e amal book after magrib or isha and the book as you know is filled with shirk and fabricated hadiths. Anyways i love your videos may allah reward you

  • So long as someone does not willfully and knowingly rejects a clear cut evidence from the Sunnah that may go against the opinions of the Imāms, then there should be no problem in following one -- taqleed is also allowed for those not learned, albeit that taqleed may become blameworthy if they do not actively try to deek knowledge. What differentiates Salafis the most from the other groups is their Aqeedah though, funny how he only focuses on the Madhāhib instead of the core issue -- follow Imam Abu Hanifa, Shafi'i, Mālik or Ahmad as much as you want, but if you don't have their aqeedah it will not benefit you whatsoever.

Wahabia is the name for those who follow Mohammed bin AbdilWahhab AnNajdi and his differences to the Ummah. His differences match with some of the Taymiyya differences. Well yeah they following Quran and sunnah according to salafi us saaliheen. If you deny a madhab then you are from the extreme. I love sheikh Bin Baaz, Sheikh Utaymeen and Sheikh Nasiruddin Al-Albani. But people from the Najdi dawah do more blind following of these sheikh then the great ulama of the past. If you have the time and patience to study all the madhab, usul and shariah, then fine you can come to your own conclusions. But under no circumstance you tell anyone who is following the classical understanding of Islam they are wrong. Nothing is more ignorant, egotistical and boastful then to tell someone. My sheikh and my two followers are on deen and the rest of the ummah are king the 73 sects. Fiqh is not a sect genius.

('Imran said, I do not know if he said this twice or thrice). Then, they will be followed by those who will testify but will not be called upon to testify; they will betray the trust, and will not be trusted. They will make vows but will not fulfill them, and obesity will prevail among them." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Therefore every muslim should be salafi.

  • Salafiyyah is a newly invented religion popularised by albani & his associates to destroy Islam from within by changing it's beliefs.

    • Do you know anything about him? I’m asking genuinely because I’m not a studied person myself on this matter. From the little of what I’ve read and seen of his work, it’s actually the opposite. He has placed strict conditions on takfir and why it is so difficult to make takfir on an individual. In all honesty, I don’t think I’m qualified to discuss this topic. But I also doubt you are either. I mean… we’re both here talking about a scholar and his teachings on KZhead… on a shorts clip as well not even a full video… so that might give away how unqualified my opinion is, and yours too. Be careful on what you say about others. Do you think you won’t be judged by Allah for the things you say that are wrong? Potentially putting someone who has passed away under false scrutiny? My advice is go to the scholars and ask, learn, and humble yourself… talking carelessly about scholars who have spent their entire lives devoted to the studying and gaining knowledge is not a good sign of one’s character.

    • Your comment shows your ignorance. You talk badly about a man who got rid of the shirk and bidah that was running rampant thru the holy lands.

They're either in support of shirk and bidah or They're ignorant hateful people who label muslims who just simply follow the Quran and sunnah as "wahabis "

  • So Imam, with that statement you are saying that you don't follow The Last and Final Prophet (saw) and instead follow a madhab of those who came after him. Is this correct? On every level, is this correct???? Surah Al-An'am explains this concept of dividing Allah's words very clearly, starting with Ibrahim (as). Alhamdullilah Will we, in our lifetime ever get back to the basics of Tawheed? Allahu alam For me, I only give my bayyah to Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw) no one else. Alhamdullilah

    • A gross misinterpretation of my words. It is a false dilemma, not a matter of "instead." The schools of law help one consistently interpret and apply the guidance of the Last Messenger, not displace or replace it. Without a consistent methodology, you will probably end up following your hawa or someone else's. -Imam Tom
