    • What has muslims to do with our God, Jesus Christ. I think you people should be talking about your nabi, Issa, who is the son of Miriam and who was born under a palm tree and your last nabi Mohamed will be marrying his mother Mariam in the end. Please do not confuse people about our God Jesus Christ who was incarnated in a cattle shed as a step-child of Mary and Joseph and not under a palm tree. Our God Jesus lived like a normal human being and earned his living working as a carpenter making tables, chairs, cots and benches etc and supported his step-family. He was crucified , died on the cross, was buried but rose to life on the third day. He ascended to heaven and is seated on the right hand of God the Father and he will return to this earth at the end of the world to take with him those who have believed in him and lived a righteous life. So Dr. Shabir Ali and Ms . Ali, please do not continue in this pagan 7th century Arab religion and worship of the qureshi tribal God "Allah" who had 3 daughters but turn to the worship of the true and living God , "Jehovah". You and your family will be saved. I see that you are not like other muslims but a seeker of the truth. Let the true God of this universe lead you all into true repentance and worship of the true God.

    • @@joythomasvallianeth6013 Prophet Muhammad (SAW) loves you. Even when the infidels were throwing stones at him he only prayed for their forgiveness, prayed for their guidance. Im sorry but not even Jesus (Peace be upon him) can ensure Paradise for his followers. No one can enter paradise without our Holy Prophet's recommendation. Accept him as the final prophet and turn to Allah before it's too late.

    • He only succeeds is making an effort to have people deny the conclusions of the consensus of scholars that Jesus was crucified and died on the cross. We can make arguments that the Earth is flat and it 'appears' to be such because 'allah' as the greatest deceiver makes it appear to be so despite all other evidence to the contrary. It's a theological argument presented to deny actual, recorded empirical data. Islam falls in the category of historical 'mythicists' who deny historical evidence of Jesus' crucifixion and death.

    • @@lifemaverick6427 the Quran clarifies that Jews did not kill him nor crucify him. He was on the cross but did not die. Look in verse 3:144 and 5 76 to see that Quran confirms Jesus has later passed away a natural death.

    • @@camilla_cruncheee The Qur'an claims that Jesus was not on the cross and did not die on the cross. Further, Muslim scholars don't all agree as to what happened - but the consensus of the Islamic narrative is that Jesus was not crucified or died on the cross, but rather someone else did so. Tasfir Al-Jalalayn and tasfir Ibn Abbas write that someone else was crucified and killed on the cross, Jalalayn indicating it was Tatianos. Fine. Let's say 'allah' made it 'appear' as though Jesus was killed on the cross. Why do that?? Especially knowing full well it would be the cause of creating the World's *largest* and most dominant religion? Why does the Qur'an's narrative contradict the consensus of scholars that indeed Jesus of Nazareth was crucified and died on the cross? There are over 15 independent source who attest to the crucifixion of Jesus, all within 100 years of it happening. Ever consider that the Qur'an might have gotten it wrong?

    • @@lifemaverick6427 they did not crucify, means that he did not die on the cross. That is the general understanding of the translation. Now as per your underatanding that he did not die rather someone else did is a fabrication which contradicts the Quran and its message. Also verse 3:144 and 5:76 proves the death of Jesus.

      @camilla_cruncheee@camilla_cruncheee2 жыл бұрын
    • @@camilla_cruncheee There is a difference between being crucified and death on the cross. The Qur'an denies both. Tasfir Ibn Abbas: (And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger) Allah destroyed their man Tatianos. (They slew him not *nor* crucified, but it *appeared* so unto them) Allah made Tatianos look like Jesus and so they killed him instead of him; (and lo! those who disagree concerning it) concerning his killing (are in doubt thereof) in doubt about his killing; (they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture) not even conjecture; (they slew him not for certain) i.e. certainly they did not kill him. Tasfir Al-Jalalayn: And yet they did not slay him nor did they crucify him but he the one slain and crucified who was an *associate* of theirs the Jews was given the resemblance of Jesus. In other words God cast his Jesus’s likeness to him and so they thought it was him Jesus. The Qur'an claims that it 'appeared' that Jesus was slain or crucified.

    • The Crucifixion is attested by the 4 Gospels from the New Testament. Some other Gospels as Gnostic ones would tell you a different story, close to the Islamic view. This is somehow curious due to the fact that Gnostic Gospels were written in I-II century AD and were destroyed by Ortodox church as heresy. Of course some of them as Gospel of Peter, Gospel of Juda, Gospel of Maria Magdalene etc. survived until today. Could be a hypothesis that, the authors of the The Quran, in the VII-th century to have access to such a Gnostic Gospel!!!

Till this day at the mention of the name Jesus Christ all kinds of miracles happen for those who believe in him. So if your own God has stoped performing miracles then u need to find your way to Jesus who is alive.

The Quran is God himself directly speak to humanity. Giving a warning to the ones that don’t follow God and rewards the followers to give them faith and promise both infinity. Speak of clear truth. • It is very interesting that some Gnostic Gospels (apocrypha) mentioned a very similar story. Jesus was not raised on the cross but somebody else in his place. So he was not put to death but somebody else and he went to Heaven. This connection is worth to be explored as only 4 Gospels, out of around 40 that were circulating in the first centuries, were included in the New Testament.

    • The Bible say Jesus was not crucified but the Church and the Christians claim that Jesus was Crucified PROPHECY IN PSALM 91. Psalm 91 is called a messianic psalm. ( The Lord will deliver the Messiah from terror, pestilence, and war-The Lord will give His angels charge over the Messiah and deliver Him and honor Him.) CrossConnect Posted on 8 April 2017 by Jenny Cox Psalm 91 is a promise for the righteous, but on the cross Jesus became as a sinner. 2 Corinthians 5: 21 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”. Since angels are sent to protect the saints, there were no angels to protect Jesus upon the cross, since there it was as if he were the most godless man alive. Psalm 91: “ No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent, for he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways, they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone,” Because he loves me “ says the lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, and I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation. The question is, Despite Jesus prayer and Jesus call on God to save him, Did God save Jesus while on the cross ? Matthew 27:46 and Psalm 22:1. “ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (To forsake another person is to leave them entirely, usually in a moment of need). Jesus prayed same prayer to God 3 times that He will save him from the cross. Matthew 26:39 and 44 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. 44 So, leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words again.

  • John 19:32-37 NKJV Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.” NKJV: New King James Version

    • Well, when you do some comparing according to the Bible and the Quran. First of all, when you really read the Quran in Arabic. I'll tell you what the problem here is. That the Quran came years later. After the Bible and was written. I have met some brother Muslims that believe That are beginning to question the way this event happen. Where the people still believe he was taken and torture. And being crucified with stuff what the word means. To be torture. The only question that I asked myself why will God may appear that somebody went for him. Why will God try to be sneaky? So I do believe there's something to be questioned here. This is why some Muslims and I know you're going to get mad with me. So I mustn't believe he was still. Crucifying, but they could not kill him. In other words Got elevated him. What they think is that his physical body have to die. But the real Jesus they could not kill him now. I'm not here to dispute whether this happen or not. What I'm trying to say is. This is why I taking my time. To read the original Aramaic Holy Bible. It's interested because you see Jesus in the tree or the cross, whatever you want to call it. He actually says instead of saying my God my God. Why have you forsaken me. It says Allah Allah for this I was offer. What really got to me? Is that Jesus is Calling God Allah.

  • After the resurrection the priests and rulers circulated the report that Christ did not die upon the cross, that He merely fainted, and was afterward revived. Another report affirmed that it was not a real body of flesh and bone, but the likeness of a body, that was laid in the tomb. The action of the Roman soldiers disproves these falsehoods. They broke not His legs, because He was already dead. To satisfy the priests, they pierced His side. Had not life been already extinct, this wound would have caused instant death. But it was not the spear thrust, it was not the pain of the cross, that caused the death of Jesus. That cry, uttered “with a loud voice” (Matthew 27:50; Luke 23:46), at the moment of death, the stream of blood and water that flowed from His side, declared that He died of a broken heart. His heart was broken by mental anguish. He was slain by the sin of the world. With the death of Christ the hopes of His disciples perished. They looked upon His closed eyelids and drooping head, His hair matted with blood, His pierced hands and feet, and their anguish was indescribable. Until the last they had not believed that He would die; they could hardly believe that He was really dead. Overwhelmed with sorrow, they did not recall His words foretelling this very scene. Nothing that He had said now gave them comfort. They saw only the cross and its bleeding Victim. The future seemed dark with despair. Their faith in Jesus had perished; but never had they loved their Lord as now. Never before had they so felt His worth, and their need of His presence. Even in death, Christ's body was very precious to His disciples. They longed to give Him an honored burial, but knew not how to accomplish this. Treason against the Roman government was the crime for which Jesus was condemned, and persons put to death for this offense were consigned to a burial ground especially provided for such criminals. The disciple John with the women from Galilee had remained at the cross. They could not leave the body of their Lord to be handled by the unfeeling soldiers, and buried in a dishonored grave. Yet they could not prevent it. They could obtain no favors from the Jewish authorities, and they had no influence with Pilate. In this emergency, Joseph of Arimathaea and Nicodemus came to the help of the disciples. Both these men were members of the Sanhedrin, and were acquainted with Pilate. Both were men of wealth and influence. They were determined that the body of Jesus should have an honorable burial. Joseph went boldly to Pilate, and begged from him the body of Jesus. For the first time, Pilate learned that Jesus was really dead. Conflicting reports had reached him in regard to the events attending the crucifixion, but the knowledge of Christ's death had been purposely kept from him. Pilate had been warned by the priests and rulers against deception by Christ's disciples in regard to His body. Upon hearing Joseph's request, he therefore sent for the centurion who had charge at the cross, and learned for a certainty of the death of Jesus. He also drew from him an account of the scenes of Calvary, confirming the testimony of Joseph. The request of Joseph was granted. While John was troubled about the burial of his Master, Joseph returned with Pilate's order for the body of Christ; and Nicodemus came bringing a costly mixture of myrrh and aloes, of about a hundred pounds’ weight, for His embalming. The most honored in all Jerusalem could not have been shown more respect in death. The disciples were astonished to see these wealthy rulers as much interested as they themselves in the burial of their Lord. Neither Joseph nor Nicodemus had openly accepted the Saviour while He was living. They knew that such a step would exclude them from the Sanhedrin, and they hoped to protect Him by their influence in its councils. For a time they had seemed to succeed; but the wily priests, seeing their favor to Christ, had thwarted their plans. In their absence Jesus had been condemned and delivered to be crucified. Now that He was dead, they no longer concealed their attachment to Him. While the disciples feared to show themselves openly as His followers, Joseph and Nicodemus came boldly to their aid. The help of these rich and honored men was greatly needed at this time. They could do for their dead Master what it was impossible for the poor disciples to do; and their wealth and influence protected them, in a great measure, from the malice of the priests and rulers. Gently and reverently they removed with their own hands the body of Jesus from the cross. Their tears of sympathy fell fast as they looked upon His bruised and lacerated form. Joseph owned a new tomb, hewn in a rock. This he was reserving for himself; but it was near Calvary, and he now prepared it for Jesus. The body, together with the spices brought by Nicodemus, was carefully wrapped in a linen sheet, and the Redeemer was borne to the tomb. There the three disciples straightened the mangled limbs, and folded the bruised hands upon the pulseless breast. The Galilean women came to see that all had been done that could be done for the lifeless form of their beloved Teacher. Then they saw the heavy stone rolled against the entrance of the tomb, and the Saviour was left at rest. The women were last at the cross, and last at the tomb of Christ. While the evening shades were gathering, Mary Magdalene and the other Marys lingered about the resting place of their Lord, shedding tears of sorrow over the fate of Him whom they loved. “And they returned, ... and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.” Luke 23:56. That was a never-to-be-forgotten Sabbath to the sorrowing disciples, and also to the priests, rulers, scribes, and people. At the setting of the sun on the evening of the preparation day the trumpets sounded, signifying that the Sabbath had begun. The Passover was observed as it had been for centuries, while He to whom it pointed had been slain by wicked hands, and lay in Joseph's tomb. On the Sabbath the courts of the temple were filled with worshipers. The high priest from Golgotha was there, splendidly robed in his sacerdotal garments. White-turbaned priests, full of activity, performed their duties. But some present were not at rest as the blood of bulls and goats was offered for sin. They were not conscious that type had met antitype, that an infinite sacrifice had been made for the sins of the world. They knew not that there was no further value in the performance of the ritual service. But never before had that service been witnessed with such conflicting feelings. The trumpets and musical instruments and the voices of the singers were as loud and clear as usual. But a sense of strangeness pervaded everything. One after another inquired about a strange event that had taken place. Hitherto the most holy place had been sacredly guarded from intrusion. But now it was open to all eyes. The heavy veil of tapestry, made of pure linen, and beautifully wrought with gold, scarlet, and purple, was rent from top to bottom. The place where Jehovah had met with the high priest, to communicate His glory, the place that had been God's sacred audience chamber, lay open to every eye,-a place no longer recognized by the Lord. With gloomy presentiments the priests ministered before the altar. The uncovering of the sacred mystery of the most holy place filled them with dread of coming calamity. . DA 772.1-DA 774.2

  • Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the recent murderous attack in Nova Scotia (Canada), and other heartbreaking tragedies and prevalent death and sufferings in the world, let's all have a beacon of hope in Jesus Christ. Remember the words of Jesus according to John @ which is a powerful statement of God's love to the world. Christ is the only human being who has ever lived understands our deepest sorrow and pains than any other human being that ever been born. It is said of Him by a prophet named Alma that "Christ shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith He will take upon Him the pains and the sicknesses of His people. And He will take upon Him death, that He may loose the bands of death which bind His people; and He will take upon Him their infirmities, that His bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that He may know according to the flesh how to succor His people according to their infirmities. The Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that He might take upon Him the sins of His people, that He might blot out their transgressions according to the power of His deliverance." The Apostle Paul stated "for to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living” (Romans 14:9 KJV) and because of Him, we can have eternal life.

  • In the sufferings of Christ upon the cross prophecy was fulfilled. Centuries before the crucifixion, the Saviour had foretold the treatment He was to receive. He said, “Dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed Me: they pierced My hands and My feet. I may tell all My bones: they look and stare upon Me. They part My garments among them, and cast lots upon My vesture.” Psalm 22:16-18. The prophecy concerning His garments was carried out without counsel or interference from the friends or the enemies of the Crucified One. To the soldiers who had placed Him upon the cross, His clothing was given. Christ heard the men's contention as they parted the garments among them. His tunic was woven throughout without seam, and they said, “Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be.” In another prophecy the Saviour declared, “Reproach hath broken My heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave Me also gall for My meat; and in My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.” Psalm 69:20, 21. To those who suffered death by the cross, it was permitted to give a stupefying potion, to deaden the sense of pain. This was offered to Jesus; but when He had tasted it, He refused it. He would receive nothing that could becloud His mind. His faith must keep fast hold upon God. This was His only strength. To becloud His senses would give Satan an advantage. The enemies of Jesus vented their rage upon Him as He hung upon the cross. Priests, rulers, and scribes joined with the mob in mocking the dying Saviour. At the baptism and at the transfiguration the voice of God had been heard proclaiming Christ as His Son. Again, just before Christ's betrayal, the Father had spoken, witnessing to His divinity. But now the voice from heaven was silent. No testimony in Christ's favor was heard. Alone He suffered abuse and mockery from wicked men. “If Thou be the Son of God,” they said, “come down from the cross.” “Let Him save Himself, if He be Christ, the chosen of God.” In the wilderness of temptation Satan had declared, “If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” “If Thou be the Son of God, cast Thyself down” from the pinnacle of the temple. Matthew 4:3, 6. And Satan with his angels, in human form, was present at the cross. The archfiend and his hosts were co-operating with the priests and rulers. The teachers of the people had stimulated the ignorant mob to pronounce judgment against One upon whom many of them had never looked, until urged to bear testimony against Him. Priests, rulers, Pharisees, and the hardened rabble were confederated together in a satanic frenzy. Religious rulers united with Satan and his angels. They were doing his bidding. Jesus, suffering and dying, heard every word as the priests declared, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Christ could have come down from the cross. But it is because He would not save Himself that the sinner has hope of pardon and favor with God. In their mockery of the Saviour, the men who professed to be the expounders of prophecy were repeating the very words which Inspiration had foretold they would utter upon this occasion. Yet in their blindness they did not see that they were fulfilling the prophecy. Those who in derision uttered the words, “He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him: for He said, I am the Son of God,” little thought that their testimony would sound down the ages. But although spoken in mockery, these words led men to search the Scriptures as they had never done before. Wise men heard, searched, pondered, and prayed. There were those who never rested until, by comparing scripture with scripture, they saw the meaning of Christ's mission. Never before was there such a general knowledge of Jesus as when He hung upon the cross. Into the hearts of many who beheld the crucifixion scene, and who heard Christ's words, the light of truth was shining. To Jesus in His agony on the cross there came one gleam of comfort. It was the prayer of the penitent thief. Both the men who were crucified with Jesus had at first railed upon Him; and one under his suffering only became more desperate and defiant. But not so with his companion. This man was not a hardened criminal; he had been led astray by evil associations, but he was less guilty than many of those who stood beside the cross reviling the Saviour. He had seen and heard Jesus, and had been convicted by His teaching, but he had been turned away from Him by the priests and rulers. Seeking to stifle conviction, he had plunged deeper and deeper into sin, until he was arrested, tried as a criminal, and condemned to die on the cross. In the judgment hall and on the way to Calvary he had been in company with Jesus. He had heard Pilate declare, “I find no fault in Him.” John 19:4. He had marked His godlike bearing, and His pitying forgiveness of His tormentors. On the cross he sees the many great religionists shoot out the tongue with scorn, and ridicule the Lord Jesus. He sees the wagging heads. He hears the upbraiding speeches taken up by his companion in guilt: “If Thou be Christ, save Thyself and us.” Among the passers-by he hears many defending Jesus. He hears them repeat His words, and tell of His works. The conviction comes back to him that this is the Christ. Turning to his fellow criminal he says, “Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?” The dying thieves have no longer anything to fear from man. But upon one of them presses the conviction that there is a God to fear, a future to cause him to tremble. And now, all sin-polluted as it is, his life history is about to close. “And we indeed justly,” he moans; “for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this Man hath done nothing amiss.” . • as a muslim i'd say that islam is correct, because its more inclined to the early views of the bible. For example, in old testament Moses Abraham Jacob Noah etc, all talked about the oneness of god and god being one and only. This is something that jesus also talked about, if you read the gosples 'the father is greater than I' and also talked about following moses first commandment which was that god is one. In islam this teaching is further taught about the oneness of god, and that muhmmad (pbuh) like all the prophets was sent by god. The idea of God being a trinity, or that human life needs to be shed in order for the forgivness of sin (jesus) is something that doesnt make sense, and contradicts what all the other prophets say, and also what the soul and heart needs, which is to worship God alone without partners, and that sincere repentance is what causes sin to be forgiven, and not the shedding of blood.

Read the text and be amazed. Why do you try to distort everything instead of just believing what happened. After the resurrection, Jesus was touchable and he could eat. He wasn't just spirit. Read and be amazed and stop discussing.

  • The Holy Bible says, that you must put your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Jesus died for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He shed His blood on the cross for the sins of humanity. Jesus rose from the dead to show that God can giveth and taketh away life. It proved that almighty God is the creator of this earth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

  • In order to understand the Quran properly one has to look into the Hadith. The Prophet spent 23 years explaining the Quran. Just imagine someone trying to understand the Constitution without the decisions of the Supreme Court. It would be impossible because of so many opinions. There are so many Hadith about the second coming of Jesus that makes it easy to understand the Quranic verses about Jesus. People who try to understand the Quran without the Hadith make a big mistake.

  • In the Quran, Jesus is described as the Messiah (al-Masīḥ), miraculously born of a virgin, performing miracles, accompanied by his disciples, rejected by the Jewish religious establishment, but not as crucified or dying on the cross (nor resurrected), rather as miraculously saved by God and ascending into heaven. What Allah is saying in the Quran regarding the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is misunderstood ! Allah said also about the Martyrs that they are not Dead they are alive, but we don't know how they are alive. So here is the main key to understand what Allah said in the Quran regarding the crucifixion of Jesus Christ . BUT THEY CRUCIFIED HIM NOT NOR THEY KILLED HIM. So if the real Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the cross and his disciplines and his mother buried him in the cave they saw the event with their own eyes Allah is not going to deceive them by putting on the cross someone else and the Disciples and the mother of Jesus Christ not to recognize who they buried . Is it difficult for Allah who already did so many miracles through Jesus Christ to rise him from the Death ?

  • Arriving at the place of execution, the prisoners were bound to the instruments of torture. The two thieves wrestled in the hands of those who placed them on the cross; but Jesus made no resistance. The mother of Jesus, supported by John the beloved disciple, had followed the steps of her Son to Calvary. She had seen Him fainting under the burden of the cross, and had longed to place a supporting hand beneath His wounded head, and to bathe that brow which had once been pillowed upon her bosom. But she was not permitted this mournful privilege. With the disciples she still cherished the hope that Jesus would manifest His power, and deliver Himself from His enemies. Again her heart would sink as she recalled the words in which He had foretold the very scenes that were then taking place. As the thieves were bound to the cross, she looked on with agonizing suspense. Would He who had given life to the dead suffer Himself to be crucified? Would the Son of God suffer Himself to be thus cruelly slain? Must she give up her faith that Jesus was the Messiah? Must she witness His shame and sorrow, without even the privilege of ministering to Him in His distress? She saw His hands stretched upon the cross; the hammer and the nails were brought, and as the spikes were driven through the tender flesh, the heart-stricken disciples bore away from the cruel scene the fainting form of the mother of Jesus. The Saviour made no murmur of complaint. His face remained calm and serene, but great drops of sweat stood upon His brow. There was no pitying hand to wipe the death dew from His face, nor words of sympathy and unchanging fidelity to stay His human heart. While the soldiers were doing their fearful work, Jesus prayed for His enemies, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” His mind passed from His own suffering to the sin of His persecutors, and the terrible retribution that would be theirs. No curses were called down upon the soldiers who were handling Him so roughly. No vengeance was invoked upon the priests and rulers, who were gloating over the accomplishment of their purpose. Christ pitied them in their ignorance and guilt. He breathed only a plea for their forgiveness,-“for they know not what they do.” Had they known that they were putting to torture One who had come to save the sinful race from eternal ruin, they would have been seized with remorse and horror. But their ignorance did not remove their guilt; for it was their privilege to know and accept Jesus as their Saviour. Some of them would yet see their sin, and repent, and be converted. Some by their impenitence would make it an impossibility for the prayer of Christ to be answered for them. Yet, just the same, God's purpose was reaching its fulfillment. Jesus was earning the right to become the advocate of men in the Father's presence. That prayer of Christ for His enemies embraced the world. It took in every sinner that had lived or should live, from the beginning of the world to the end of time. Upon all rests the guilt of crucifying the Son of God. To all, forgiveness is freely offered. “Whosoever will” may have peace with God, and inherit eternal life. As soon as Jesus was nailed to the cross, it was lifted by strong men, and with great violence thrust into the place prepared for it. This caused the most intense agony to the Son of God. Pilate then wrote an inscription in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, and placed it upon the cross, above the head of Jesus. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews.” This inscription irritated the Jews. In Pilate's court they had cried, “Crucify Him.” “We have no king but Caesar.” John 19:15. They had declared that whoever should acknowledge any other king was a traitor. Pilate wrote out the sentiment they had expressed. No offense was mentioned, except that Jesus was the King of the Jews. The inscription was a virtual acknowledgment of the allegiance of the Jews to the Roman power. It declared that whoever might claim to be the King of Israel would be judged by them worthy of death. The priests had overreached themselves. When they were plotting the death of Christ, Caiaphas had declared it expedient that one man should die to save the nation. Now their hypocrisy was revealed. In order to destroy Christ, they had been ready to sacrifice even their national existence. The priests saw what they had done, and asked Pilate to change the inscription. They said, “Write not, The King of the Jews; but that He said, I am King of the Jews.” But Pilate was angry with himself because of his former weakness, and he thoroughly despised the jealous and artful priests and rulers. He replied coldly, “What I have written I have written.” A higher power than Pilate or the Jews had directed the placing of that inscription above the head of Jesus. In the providence of God it was to awaken thought, and investigation of the Scriptures. The place where Christ was crucified was near to the city. Thousands of people from all lands were then at Jerusalem, and the inscription declaring Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah would come to their notice. It was a living truth, transcribed by a hand that God had guided. . DA 744.1-DA 745.4

  • WHY DID JESUS HIDE HIS GLORY? Glorify the Father Jesus hid his glory when he became a man in order to show his Father’s glory. “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him” (John 1:18). When Old Testament believers witnessed an appearance of Christ, they were often fearful for their lives. They knew that sinful man could not look upon God and live. The glory of God was also the judgment of God; the natural person who saw it died. When Moses spent forty days alone with God on Mount Sinai, it was necessary to cover his face when he came down because it reflected the glory of God. The people could not look upon God and live. When John was on the Isle of Patmos, he too had a vision of Christ. When John saw Jesus in the full glory that was his from the beginning, John wrote, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead” (Rev. 1:17). When Paul had a similar vision of Christ, he was blinded with light from heaven (Acts 9:3-9). Later he wrote of being “caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter” (2 Cor. 12:4). When Isaiah saw the Lord in the temple, he cried out, “Woe is me…” (Isa. 6:1-8).If Jesus had not veiled his preincarnate glory he could not have accomplished what he came to earth to do. It was necessary for Christ to hide his glory temporarily as he sought to save the souls of men. After the work of atonement was done, he could pray, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was” (John 17:5). Limitations of Humanity As a result of the incarnation, Jesus became the God-man. He was at all times both God and man as he lived on earth. When Jesus became flesh, he voluntarily subjected himself to its limitations Be. fore his birth, heaven was his throne. Now in the flesh, Jesus was limited to the distance that a man could walk on the paths of Galilee. The Son of God who created water voluntarily lived in a body that got thirsty. Jesus was born into this world as other humans (Luke 2:120), even though his conception was supernatural. As a child he developed as every human must develop. Jesus grew in mental, physical, spiritual, and social areas of life (Luke 2:52). He had the essential elements of human nature. He was body (Heb. 10:5), soul (John 12:27), and spirit (Mark 2:8). Jesus became hungry when he did not eat (Matt. 4:2). He became tired and asked the woman at the well for water to drink (John 4:6). Throughout his life on earth, Jesus was just as human as any one of us, subject to the same emotional experiences of sorrow, pain, and hurt which any man experiences.The willingness of Jesus to limit himself to becoming a man gives us confidence that he understands the affairs of our lives. “For we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Heb. 4:15). Because he has experientially known the frustrations of humanity, we have a “God of all comfort” (2 Cor. 1:3) upon whom we can depend. While those who deny his deity believe they are honoring Jesus Christ in calling him a great man, the Bible says he emptied himself voluntarily by accepting the limitations of humanity. Yet at all times he remained God.He surrendered the independent use of some attributes. Self-emptying took place also by the voluntary choice not to use certain of his attributes. Power of the Holy Spirit Perhaps the best expression of omnipotence is that of the miracles of God. Even though Jesus was known as a miracle worker, he performed those miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:28). He voluntarily laid aside his power to do them and relied on the Holy Spirit or the Father. On various occasions he made it clearly known he was doing the work of his Father. “Then answered Jesus, and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise” (John 5:19). During his earthly life and ministry, Jesus was omniscient, but did not know the time of the second coming. He was omnipresent, but when he became flesh, he limited himself to being in one place at one time. He was omnipotent, yet he prayed to God to perform the raising of Lazarus from the dead. Jesus had not lost these attributes of God, but rather, in the process of emptying himself, he chose not to use his relative attributes.

    • Bible is consistent, detailed and coherent its major theme Small details dont matter when you cant even get the big picture right. People often say, why God this or that. Answer first, is there a god, a creator. If so anything is possible. We must also accept God put forth his will and intent to impart a piece of him onto the world, to become one like us and sacrificed himself because he loved us so. How beautiful is this, for a parent to love so dearly, they are willing to give themselves up for their child? Thus, answer first, is there a God. Is it possible for jesus to be a part of God. Is it possible for jesus to have died for us. Is it possible for jesus to have been crucified and resurrected. My friends brothers and sisters... you look at the leaves and dont see the trees. You see the trees but miss the sky. You focus on the sky when you ought to see the universe. You think there's just a universe when there is mere existence. And that existence is truth. And that truth is God. And with God, anything is possible. The most beautiful story ever created, has already been written and the greatest play is already on stage. God bless you all. Dont stop believing. Love is the answer. And so is our parent, the father.

The lamb of god was flesh and blood. Inside of the lamb was the spirit of the most high, the lion of Judah. This is not even a scholarly debate when a text came 600 years after a public event was witnessed. We are all corrupted by debate, the truth is in our faith and in Gods word.

  • Christ did not yield up His life till He had accomplished the work which He came to do, and with His parting breath He exclaimed, “It is finished.” John 19:30. The battle had been won. His right hand and His holy arm had gotten Him the victory. As a Conqueror He planted His banner on the eternal heights. Was there not joy among the angels? All heaven triumphed in the Saviour's victory. Satan was defeated, and knew that his kingdom was lost. To the angels and the unfallen worlds the cry, “It is finished,” had a deep significance. It was for them as well as for us that the great work of redemption had been accomplished. They with us share the fruits of Christ's victory. Not until the death of Christ was the character of Satan clearly revealed to the angels or to the unfallen worlds. The archapostate had so clothed himself with deception that even holy beings had not understood his principles. They had not clearly seen the nature of his rebellion. It was a being of wonderful power and glory that had set himself against God. Of Lucifer the Lord says, “Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.” Ezekiel 28:12. Lucifer had been the covering cherub. He had stood in the light of God's presence. He had been the highest of all created beings, and had been foremost in revealing God's purposes to the universe. After he had sinned, his power to deceive was the more deceptive, and the unveiling of his character was the more difficult, because of the exalted position he had held with the Father. God could have destroyed Satan and his sympathizers as easily as one can cast a pebble to the earth; but He did not do this. Rebellion was not to be overcome by force. Compelling power is found only under Satan's government. The Lord's principles are not of this order. His authority rests upon goodness, mercy, and love; and the presentation of these principles is the means to be used. God's government is moral, and truth and love are to be the prevailing power. It was God's purpose to place things on an eternal basis of security, and in the councils of heaven it was decided that time must be given for Satan to develop the principles which were the foundation of his system of government. He had claimed that these were superior to God's principles. Time was given for the working of Satan's principles, that they might be seen by the heavenly universe. Satan led men into sin, and the plan of redemption was put in operation. For four thousand years, Christ was working for man's uplifting, and Satan for his ruin and degradation. And the heavenly universe beheld it all. When Jesus came into the world, Satan's power was turned against Him. From the time when He appeared as a babe in Bethlehem, the usurper worked to bring about His destruction. In every possible way he sought to prevent Jesus from developing a perfect childhood, a faultless manhood, a holy ministry, and an unblemished sacrifice. But he was defeated. He could not lead Jesus into sin. He could not discourage Him, or drive Him from a work He had come on earth to do. From the desert to Calvary, the storm of Satan's wrath beat upon Him, but the more mercilessly it fell, the more firmly did the Son of God cling to the hand of His Father, and press on in the bloodstained path. All the efforts of Satan to oppress and overcome Him only brought out in a purer light His spotless character. All heaven and the unfallen worlds had been witnesses to the controversy. With what intense interest did they follow the closing scenes of the conflict. They beheld the Saviour enter the garden of Gethsemane, His soul bowed down with the horror of a great darkness. They heard His bitter cry, “Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me.” Matthew 26:39. As the Father's presence was withdrawn, they saw Him sorrowful with a bitterness of sorrow exceeding that of the last great struggle with death. The bloody sweat was forced from His pores, and fell in drops upon the ground. Thrice the prayer for deliverance was wrung from His lips. Heaven could no longer endure the sight, and a messenger of comfort was sent to the Son of God. Heaven beheld the Victim betrayed into the hands of the murderous mob, and with mockery and violence hurried from one tribunal to another. It heard the sneers of His persecutors because of His lowly birth. It heard the denial with cursing and swearing by one of His best-loved disciples. It saw the frenzied work of Satan, and his power over the hearts of men. Oh, fearful scene! the Saviour seized at midnight in Gethsemane, dragged to and fro from palace to judgment hall, arraigned twice before the priests, twice before the Sanhedrin, twice before Pilate, and once before Herod, mocked, scourged, condemned, and led out to be crucified, bearing the heavy burden of the cross, amid the wailing of the daughters of Jerusalem and the jeering of the rabble. Heaven viewed with grief and amazement Christ hanging upon the cross, blood flowing from His wounded temples, and sweat tinged with blood standing upon His brow. From His hands and feet the blood fell, drop by drop, upon the rock drilled for the foot of the cross. The wounds made by the nails gaped as the weight of His body dragged upon His hands. His labored breath grew quick and deep, as His soul panted under the burden of the sins of the world. All heaven was filled with wonder when the prayer of Christ was offered in the midst of His terrible suffering,-“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34. Yet there stood men, formed in the image of God, joining to crush out the life of His only-begotten Son. What a sight for the heavenly universe! The principalities and powers of darkness were assembled around the cross, casting the hellish shadow of unbelief into the hearts of men. When the Lord created these beings to stand before His throne, they were beautiful and glorious. Their loveliness and holiness were in accordance with their exalted station. They were enriched with the wisdom of God, and girded with the panoply of heaven. They were Jehovah's ministers. But who could recognize in the fallen angels the glorious seraphim that once ministered in the heavenly courts? Satanic agencies confederated with evil men in leading the people to believe Christ the chief of sinners, and to make Him the object of detestation. Those who mocked Christ as He hung upon the cross were imbued with the spirit of the first great rebel. He filled them with vile and loathsome speeches. He inspired their taunts. But by all this he gained nothing. Could one sin have been found in Christ, had He in one particular yielded to Satan to escape the terrible torture, the enemy of God and man would have triumphed. Christ bowed His head and died, but He held fast His faith and His submission to God. “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10. Satan saw that his disguise was torn away. His administration was laid open before the unfallen angels and before the heavenly universe. He had revealed himself as a murderer. By shedding the blood of the Son of God, he had uprooted himself from the sympathies of the heavenly beings. Henceforth his work was restricted. Whatever attitude he might assume, he could no longer await the angels as they came from the heavenly courts, and before them accuse Christ's brethren of being clothed with the garments of blackness and the defilement of sin. The last link of sympathy between Satan and the heavenly world was broken. . DA 758.1-DA 761.2

I think you will help Muslims with the gift Allah has given you ( ie ability to express and explain issues) by coming straight on these sensitive subjects and not to tell us what some mullahs say. Eg. There can be only one meaning of mutawafiika. In every where it's used in the Quran, the meaning is death. So why are you struggling to speak out when it comes to Issah. Allah raised him only after he died. Allah didn't say I will raise you and cause you to die. So it's very simple and clear. I know you know exactly this is the only truth handed by the Holy Prophet to his companions. I'm very happy you have accepted the Ahmadiyya interpretation of crucifixion. May Allah bless you and guide us all Ameen 🙏.

    • This is why it's important to know and understand the bible. Psalm 91 isn't about the crucifixion whatsoever. Try Psalm 22:1 and Isisah 53. To lable Psalm 91 suggests Jesus Yeshua was saved from the crucifixion is ludicrous. Jesus Yeshua had to be crucified to save the world from their sins and to forfill the prophesy in the Torah re Old Testament. Read the bible properly and if you don't understand it ask someone to help you. You can't write whatever you want as it isn't fact and it's annoying. I read Psalm 91 as part of my prayers and it certainly isn't about Jesus Yeshua being saved from the crucifixion. However, Psalm 91 was used by satan in Mathew chapter 4 to tempted Jesus Yeshua to bow down to him as he knee who Jesus Yeshua was. Jesus Yeshua rebuked him. This also suggest satan knows the bible inside out. 🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊

  • Regarding the Crucifixion of Jesus the Christ, we say that he was not Crucified nor died on the cross . In my opinion that Ayah in the Quran was not understood at all. Because how can his disciples who witnessed the whole event to be decieved that on the cross was not Jesus , but someone else. How can his mother Mariam to be deceived and not to recognize her own son ? How can when they took him dead from the cross not to recognize Jesus ? They bury his body in a cave and there was a order done by Pontius Pilate soldiers to guard that cave for 40 days , because the Rabbis asked Pontius Pilate to do that because they said his disciples can take his body and to say he raised from the Death because he was predicting that he will stay in the heart of the Earth for 3 days and 3 nights. So why is it so difficult we to accept that Jesus was that person who was Crucified and died on the cross and on the 3 day Allah raised him from the Death ? What is the problem ?

    • Well according to Islam, no one had to ever die on the cross for any sin...this was a novel idea that only emerged after Jesus. So the question really is, did anyone have to die for anyone's sin? Where did this idea come from - was this the understanding that the Jews had based on their Torah?

      @zahid4902@zahid49024 жыл бұрын
    • Zahid, Thank you brother for addressing my question. I appreciate your humility and grace as you discuss difficult questions. The answer about the Torah is: It seems they did. The idea of sacrificing a lamb for sin runs all through the Torah and the Old Testament. The first animal was sacrificed for Adam and Eve’s sin in the garden when God killed an animal and made them clothes to cover their nakedness/sin. Then again with Noah, Abraham, and all the way to Jesus, who was the final sacrifice for sin. God required a blood offering for sin and Jesus met that requirement. If we don’t accept Jesus’ payment for our sin then we must still pay for that sin ourselves in Hell or depend upon our own goodness to redeem us. Thankfully, I don’t have to do that or I would certainly fail. How do you think we receive salvation from sin?

      @dahrunriver2924@dahrunriver29244 жыл бұрын
    • @@dahrunriver2924 I appreciate your well-mannered response, as well as the important points you raise. In my belief, animal sacrifices are indeed a part of Abraham's religion, however, is God not able to forgive sin without a sacrifice? I believe in the Torah God did forgive without sin. I wonder why God would ever create sin if it meant that he would one day have to sacrifice His innocent son who would unjustly have to bear the sins of every other human being.

    • It was Judas, who betrayed Jesus that was crucified. This was God's punishment for Judas betraying Jesus for money. The Aramaic language translations have been lost in some Arabic translations. It was Satan who divided our tribes and tongues. God will unite as all as one nation. Crosses did not exist during 200 bce-240 ace. The romans and Israelites used tree trunks for public executions. Prophet Mohammed was the last of divine prophets sent by our creator. Peace to all humanity during this pandemic.

      @garrettandrews79@garrettandrews794 жыл бұрын
    • Zahid Of course, God can forgive without a sacrifice but it seems that God really wanted to make the point that He does in fact require a sacrifice. He spent about 1600 years explaining exactly how sacrifices should be performed, how the temple should be run, how the prophets, priests, and kings should behave, and the importance of the Sabbath. Each of these objects, rituals, customs, and roles symbolized Jesus. He was the last sacrifice for sin, the one who communicates for us to God, the Word of God, the One who carries our burdens while we rely on Him. So, yes, it seems that God planned from the Creation of mankind to send an innocent Lamb, Jesus, to be sacrificed in our place. Does God’s plan through Jesus to overcome sin and death, mean God created sin? The Injil says that along with sin God provides a way of escape. Most religions teach that this way of escape is to live a sinless life, though each religion varies on how it defines sin. The only real way to be completely forgiven of sin and to change is for God to give us the ability to overcome sin through His Spirit. AfterJesus was sacrificed for our sins, died and was raised from the dead, He went to Heaven but He left His Spirit, who is the Comforter, Convictor, and Encourager, to live with us. His Spirit gives us the power and ability to listen to and obey Him, Ie not sin. Thus, God provided the payment for our sins, Jesus’ death, and the ability to be obedient to Him in our daily lives. So, again we come to the question of God creating sin. I would say He created us with a choice to love, trust and obey Him, or not to. And thus, He,for a time, allows sin on the earth. Of course we feel that if God allows sin, then He mustn’t love us or He isn’t good. This was the early temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan- to distrust God and to believe Satan’s subtle lie that God is not good. God answered that accusation by sending His innocent “son” to die in our place for sin. There is no greater love than to die for another. From our perspective it is unjust that an innocent man would choose to die for our sin. You see in His goodness and justice God met His own requirement, fulfilled His own Word, completed and revealed generations of symbolic lessons by sacrificing Himself for our sin. To reject God’s provision for the payment of sin is to reject His love. What more could He do to show His love for us than meet his own requirements? In doing this God demonstrates that He is both just and good. Before Jesus, God seekers, like you, followed God by faith, looking forward to the fulfillment of their faith in a Messiah, who would save them from their and others’ sins.

This prophesy took place many centuries before Jesus came on earth that matches on the new testament. While Muhammed a sinner and double minded person came hundreds of years after Jesus. Truly people have been blinded by the truth. • Jesus survived the Crucifixion. God made someone else look like Jesus. The Crucifixion simply did not occur. As we will see, there is no good evidence to support any of these conclusions. Jesus Survived the Crucifixion In the Islamic view, Jesus’ death on the cross would have meant triumph for his enemies, but as the verse from the Qur’an states, “for of a surety they killed him not.” If the Crucifixion did happen, then Jesus must have survived the ordeal. This is not supported by the available evidence. All four Gospels describe the events in such a way that there can be no doubt Jesus died as the result of having been crucified. In Matthew 27, Joseph of Arimathea asks for the body of Jesus in order to provide a proper burial, to which Pontius Pilate agrees. The Romans who handled the transfer would have known for sure that Jesus was dead. Even the Pharisees knew this and requested that the tomb be guarded so the disciples could not steal the body and falsely claim he had resurrected (vv. 45-66). Mark and Luke both record the event in much the same way. Mark, however, reveals another detail: In his Gospel, Pilate specifically asks for confirmation that Jesus was dead before handing the body over to Joseph of Arimathea (15:44-45). John’s Gospel also reveals a critical detail. According to him, Roman soldiers came to break the legs of the crucified. When they had seen that Jesus was already dead, they pierced his side with a spear and, consistent with the other Gospels, his body was given to Joseph for burial. God Made Someone Else Look Like Jesus This is also known as the Crucifixion Substitute Theory. Most Muslims believe Jesus was raised to heaven by God, and that another person made to look like him was crucified in his place. Muslim scholars have debated the identity of the substitute, with the most popular contender being Judas Iscariot.
