    • 17:56 Assalamu alaikum Sheikh Yasir, Sheikh Uthman bin Farooq is not fond of Bishr al Hafi (ra). I saw once in a video on his channel regarding tasawwuf he criticised Bishr al Hafi (ra). It would be good to see a future discussion regarding tasawwuf and aqeedah and the rijal of tasawwuf and aqeedah between you and Sheikh Uthman. He has all of the tell-tale signs of Salafism but insha Allah it seems he might be open to discussion I hope. - Shehroze, student of knowledge from Al Burhan Islamabad, under Sh Adnan Kakahel sahb.

I hid myself behind the door. He (the Prophet) came and patted my shoulders and said: Go and call Mu'awiya. I returned and said: He is busy in taking food. He again asked me to go and call Mu'awiya to him. I went (and came back) and said that he was busy in taking food, whereupon he said: May Allah not fill his belly! Ibn Muthanna, said: I asked Umm Umayya what he meant by the word Hatani. He said: It means he patted my shoulders.

I don't know Shaykh personally but in 2021, I lost my eyesight, and one of my friends in Bradford told Shaykh and Shaykh phoned me to give me such good nasheeha, it helped me so much to carry on. He didn't have to phone me but it was such a surprise and I will always remember that call and appreciate it. Since Shaykh came into the scene, I've been learning from him and appreciate everything he does. JazakAllahu khair ya Shaykh.

  • I am absolutely shocked! I follow salafi scholars generally (although I don’t necessarily call myself salafi but ascribe to salafiyya methodology). I have seen lots of refutations and clarifications from salafis. I might have never seen your videos ever. But this video came in my recommendations so I had some time and decided let’s see what this man has to say. Ya Sheikh I’m so moved by this. This is how a refutation should be. Wallahi your Adab and Character is so so so … I don’t have words to say. Salafis sometimes are bit harsh (not all of them obviously) in refutations etc. I just hope even if salafis don’t learn anything else from this video they can learn from you how to make a refutation video. I mean if we claim to be followers of Mohammed SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam, our dealings with others whom we disagree in somethings should still be flawless. Obviously you can never reach the character of him SallAllahu Alaihi wasallam but I think I can say you try to be true follower of him. Saying we follow Quran and Sunnah is easy, anyone can talk the talk but to walk the walk is the true test. May Allah grant you the highest rank in Jannah for your Adab for nothing can be more heavier in the scales than good character. May Allah grant you ikhlas. May Allah turn all your evil deeds into mountains of good deeds. May Allah unite the Muslims. Ameen

    • The criteria for spouse selection in Islam is "religion(deen) and character(akhlaaq)" as per a hadith. Why did the Hadith(saying of the Prophet) say deen, but not imaan? If a person has deen,he is going to have character, right? Are they two things? If a person has deen,it means "he pays attention to his basic religious obligations seriously, observes the limits in morals(by imitation or because of parents) and can be externally identified as a person of religion". Not just in legal sense. What's in his heart and the level of sincerity or the level of his devotion in his worship are not to be judged. These things come under the definition of "high imaan". Or it means brightness of the heart. Character A person can be said to have deen(religion) because he claims so. But people are'nt interested to deal with him socially because his manners(akhlaaq) are ugly. Like the one who uploads videos to prove that "Mr.X the liar from Birmingham" is wrong and he is right. And 2000 angry hot heads from uk Asian community are given opportunity to write debased comments. Can anyone marry his daughter? Maybe these 2000 hot heads must be asked to contemplate. Definition of character is what David Brooks wrote. A person of character means a person who has emotional control. He can check his disposition and knows how to reform it. He judges issues very critically and does not make useless statements. Another incident can clarify the issue. The companions of the prophet went to meet the most special wife of the prophet and asked her "What was the khulq(character) of the prophet at home". They weren't asking whether he(Our prophet) practised religion at home or if he had another moral standard inside the home. Question was about his expression style. Verification of facts A person appears in a video. He is sitting in car and hurriedly says 'Assallam alaikumu brothers, this is quick video about Mr.X the liar from Birmingham who gave this opinion.." Then he talks about a topic which is not relevant to be mentioned here because he has the failed in many Islamic standards The video starts with a picture of the person he disagrees with 1. Whats the need to mention "Birmingham"? Perhaps he has another enemy in Birmingham and his hatred was exposed. Or he hates entire Birmingham. (Indication : A person of no emotional control and therefore cant be listened to) 2. There is a catchy headline to get attention. (Indication : A lot of emphasis to express grudge. His family affairs are likely to be ruined) 3. The video has no proof that the speaker has checked and authorized it to be uploaded Indication : He cant manage his life's affairs efficiently and therefore cant be trusted for opinions. The video has a comment section where anyone can write anything and there's no moderation Indication : His house, property and dignity wont be safe. Can be easily scammed. If a person listens a person of no standard with engaging interest,he can acquire the same dirty manners and say about others "Oh this short Hindi speaking guy from London" The science of "keeping the mind at rest about advanced religious issues and strictly adhere to basic Islam" Currently, there are 3 hour long videos of a famous Muslim speaker trying to refute atheism by debating with an atheist. Rather than wasting 3 hours on internet, there is an easy way to not to get a psychiatric disorder called "religious mania" and make life easy. If someone wants to question the existence of Allah,a simple answer is enough. "Allah exists for sure. He is uncreated. His essence cant be described. But humans can witness Allah's signs in the creation. But Allah is not part of the created things. We have this understanding because of prophets and their message. Now,its up to people to decide whether they want to know Allah(to have awe) or they keep talking about him in a vague theoretical way. If someone feels,he does not need Allah, then its his problem. He may have a disposition dysfunction, health issue or he maybe blinded by a grudge just like a person who hates entire Birmingham because of someone residing there. People with such issues need to rest their minds and associate with decent people with sound social aptitude. This will give heart certain inclinations(called asraar in Arabic). That will lead him to where he needs to go. Reading a lot of books or debates cant lead to anything. Trying to know Allah without social emotions is not how the Prophet delivered the message of Islam" Finished. No need for 3 hours of brain damage.

Salafiyyah is striving to following the Quran and sunnah with the interpretation of the salaf as salih. This is what the Imams of the 4 mathhahib all strived to do, the difference is that I do not stick to the Shafi’i opinion like it’s revelation and claim that all others have inferior opinion, rather if a matter comes from the Sunnah of the prophet that has been verified and it’s isnaad has been declared sahih and it conflicts with the Shafi’i position, I follow the Prophet (صلی الله عليه وسلم) not Imam Shafi’i رضي الله عنه. Truth of the matter is the 4 imams, even with their venerated amounts of knowledge were human like me and you and not anbiya’. So ofc their knowledge was limited which made some exposed to some aspects of the Sunnah while others another, but Salafiyyah takes a holistic approach. Follow your own respected mathaahib in ambiguous matters not addressed or not addressed clearly in the Quran and sunnah and by the salaf as salih, and fills the Quran and Sunnah on clear matters, even if it conflicts with the opinions of your respected school of thoughts, this is the essence of being ‘Salafi’ and arguably the essence of being a true Muslim who strives in the way of Allah.

    • @@MegaRizm brother, ANY and EVERY muslim believes in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Madhaib are a mercy to us. It goes without saying that the people of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah do not accept pantheism or the worshipping of graves. Much of everything else discussed among the ummah are matters of ihtilaf.

  • As salaamu alykum Sheikh Yasser. I've watched some of your earlier videos and this is the 2nd of the recent ones and this really reminds me of the adaab of Ikhtilaf between the salaf. This is how it needs to be done, alhamdulillah. Please continue to do so. Together with this form of reaction I think it will really be a good thing to arrange a direct discussion with the likes of Sheikh Uthmaan so that all their misconceptions are cleared up. We have enough external enemies and there has never been such a dire need for unity as there is today where we, the Muslim Ummah, are facing a barrage of attacks on so many fronts and platforms. In unity there is and will always be strength.

Then the issues of aqeedah they blow out of proportion and claim every group other than athari is correct when they haven't even studied under the shuyookh to hear a unbiased opinion.
