  • I think a lot players think too much about scanning. Your senses are naturally scanning all the time during a game (vision & hearing) but you can gather extra information about the opponent by forcing yourself to take that last extra look before receiving the ball. Which I think is what odegard is trying to get across in this vid. Scanning and decision making come hand in hand with each other. So the more info you can gather before receiving the ball, the more time you have to make a good decision.

  • Definitely start doing this while you’re young I’ve been purposely reminding myself to try and scan the pitch all the time for the last couple of years and it is definitely something that is far more effective the longer you’ve been doing for I definitely didn’t start young enough 😂

  • Performances of mine have massively improved since working on awareness and vision. Your concentration needs to be there each second of the game whether offensively and defensively to make the game easier for yourself and team mates

    • Dont disrespect saka like that. Hes not on the scoresheet for a few games and you start discrediting him. Remember the only player who stepped up when we were off form against everton brentford city and around those games. Not to talk about 2020 2021 2022. If odegaard plays at his best under pressure then he will be the best arsenal player but until then its saka
