This is the first time I've noticed you using a power screed. It sure makes sense on a job this big.
Thank you for taking the time and explaining stuff for us. Small concrete contractors' tips and tricks of the trade go a long way.. beautiful finish on the slap by the way 👌🏽👌🏽
Another smooth job. Pun intended. A very fast 50 yards in a very nice building. Glad to see your season get on the fly.
Thanks
Hanging that power trowel in the corner was brilliant. You know the pour is huge when you see the power screed and power trowel on deck!! I was surprised to hear one of the hose plugs was from the previous day. How did that get left in there?! It really looked like the pour went well. Your crew always makes the job look easy. It was no easy task cutting and washing that 50 yard pour, yet you handled it by yourself. Kudos!! I hope you and Donna enjoy your trip. Sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for today's video. Always good stuff!!👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
I hope you’re joking about 50 yards being huge.
Always thank you
What, Tom using a Power Trowell and Power Screed?????? Make them boys wipe that floor by hand! lol. Great video!
You got that right!
That's very unusual that the building has no rear door, especially as such a long building, at least a fire escape requirements. 😮.
No coffee, got concrete to pour. Concrete waits for no one.😅
Tom, I don’t think you need to worry about AI taking over your job! Very labor intensive but a great end result!
Who wouldn't want a building like that! Very Nice!
Dream woodworking shop for sure😊😊
I’m surprised Tom you dont have safety caps on your pins on the big pours and with so many guys movin around. Man that guy tripped, which is so easy to do..
I've ripped the side of my foot open on rebar even with safety caps. And, did a headstand into a wheelbarrow full of concrete when a ramp collapsed. It is impossible to prevent every possible hazard, so avoiding serious injuries is the best you can hope for.
Nice job as always. Happy Easter.
Thanks! You too!
Good looking slab. Tom have a great trip and enjoy the time off. Have a wonderful Easter.
Thanks, you too!
That automatic straight edger might extend your career 4 or 5 years!
That was huge. And with a heated floor! I would love to have one like that. Thanks
Damn now that’s a pour great job guys
Thanks
To me, this seemed like a big project, but I'm not in the business. Great looking results 👍 Good luck on your bike trip 😊
Another fine job by concrete with hauses other than some clogs everything went like it should keep them video's rolling tom I always enjoy them🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
You got like 10 people helping on this job.
9 yes
Another excellent video, really enjoy seeing the guys do what they do best. Its easy to see how they all work so well together, and sharing their knowledge with others. Kudos guys, job well done.
Thanks 👍
Awesome looking job Guys 👍
Nice job!
Have fun & stay safe on your trip.
Thanks
GOOOOOOOD MAAAAAAAAWNIN EVERYONE!!…finally starting to dry out after 4” of rain yesterday here in Virginia Beach….Tom that was an amazing job with a phenomenal crew. Thanks for always explaining to us the things many of us wouldn’t otherwise know. Enjoy yinz well earned vacation. Stay safe Have a day
Great Video Tom, 50 cuyds, that was a smooth job, i think i counted 9 men, it was amazing coordination and everyone new what to do. Enjoyed it, and explaining about the lip edge coming in the door will help lots of folks. I like the drain box you guys install, looks nice and is probably really efficient at getting the liquids out. Thanks btw your "editing crew" lol is great, the videos flow as good and fast as a 8 " slump :) kudos
Morning Tom, I'll say this right off. That power screed sure seemed like it would be a whole lot easier on a person's back. Who am I too argue with manual labor though 😂😂 When your employee took a nose dive I thought, I'm pretty sure Tom doesn't allow drinking on the job😊 To say I'm super jealous of the owner of that building is an understatement. Talk about a really nice woodworking shop. To heck with motor homes or whatever he's putting in it. That's my suggestion to him😂😂😂
I need that shop. Beautiful work
Don’t see you using a power screed in your videos very often…Nice change of pace
Sometimes thanks
Nice Vid!
Tom that's how we do all our overhead garage drop off at 3/4" so much nicer than the 1 1/2". Your customers will like that a lot better especially the residential ones with smaller vehicles. Here in Michigan for floor like that we rent a Telebelt conveyor instead of a pumper. They are a lot better in my opinion.
I use ghost shield but then I also use bowling alley or butchers wax and buff it out after I seal it and I get the clear not the Amber wax. Wax gets very hard buffing
Happy Easter
Happy Easter to you
Seems like those pumps always have trouble getting going
Yes, a lot of the time
Not sure if I've seen you use that power screed before.
Good morning Tom
This was the first time I’ve seen you use a power screed, always wondered why you didn’t use them before.
We use them occasionally
Here comes the mud!
Ghost shield sealer safe for food consumption area. its expensive
Молодцы
Thanks
How costly is the pumper truck? Nice job
About 1000 bucks to rent
Is that your screeding machine, Tom? Why don’t you use that on all your bigger slabs?
I just use it on big wide-open floors
Nice looking floor Tom. And Jeff, in my experience the vibrascreed does a good job at knocking stuff flat. If on slopes it tends to vibrate the Crete downhill
why did you not tape that drain? i’m sure it’s covered with concrete splatter
Not at all, and I even power washed it off the next day
How thick did you pour that concrete?
6”
How big is that building ?
Too big to fill on my budget! Lol
Tom, you gotta buy Steve some real work cloths instead of those basketball shorts, come’on man! 😅
Has the KZhead channel help promote your business? Have you gotten work because of the channel.
His work promotes his business…30+ year mixer driver here…He is the type of contractor we all loved going to…
Well, you get the job done, no matter what it takes and it always looks great.
Thanks 😊
Why not have some of those younger studs power floating so they will know how in a few years?
I dont like the swirl look the power trowel leaves
Finnish we do the same job only 3-4 man only.why so meny man do that? That was so Fanny.10 people ...
