There are more male gamer cheaters than female gamer cheaters if for no other reason than more guys play videogames, esp competitive ones, on average. I just thought it was funny she was trying to pull the sexism card when it was obvious she was cheating. Chill bro.

Also, if you don’t condone sextism, then you should’ve shut down the clown above my comment right off the bat. Being a silent bystander is almost as bad as being a offender.

    • @@MG-hs1yb Of course, how could I be so stupid, obviously it is my responsibility to police the comments of strangers on the internet, even if they're completely innocuous. You're completely right, everyone is at all times totally morally responsible for the words and actions of everyone else around them. And I obviously need to immediately assume that anyone joking about stereotypes in reference to a woman is being sexist and make sure they know how disappointed I am. I mean its not like he was pointing out how her own, directly harmful, actions are directly reinforcing a negative stereotype of some women pulling the sexism card to gaslight people into ignoring their wrongdoings. No I have to immediately assume he is being sexist and saying all female gamers are cheaters despite there being 0 context pointing towards that.

  • The Super Mario Speedrun by Tavo Betancourt was actually not spotted because of someone counting the coins, but rather immediately as he did a "fast start" at every start of the level, that literally isn't possible on a controller. (He took most parts from a TAS run) Because of that it was very easy to spot for other speedrunners. After they knew it was cheating, they started to break it down and spot every ridiculous hint making it obvious he's cheating. There are great videos on it.

In emulation terms, a "cheat" is anything that modifies the game's memory, so it has as many different purposes as that sounds. Some games have "widescreen cheats" for example to modify the code to make older games display in a widescreen format. Pokemon games are played in emulators so it adds up.

The team went belly-up soon after--people had not yet learned how to reliably keep even losing and disgraced teams financially solvent--and the original St. Louis Brown Stockings, who had acquired two of the guilty players in a trade before the truth was discovered, also went under.

Even another player asked if he was hidden. He also seems to immediately bring up a code page and I'd imagine he apologized and turned off the mod. I hope he didn't get receive any penalties or even get any flak from the community for this. Honest mistake.

    • That's why sane people don't support modern "feminism." Way too many women use having a vagina as an excuse to get by with being a terrible person and/or constantly making themselves out to be victims. They claim to be such "strong, independent" people, yet any time they can tear down a man and place the blame on them, they do it. They don't want to have any personal accountability. Like using the b.s., made up "internalized misogyny" excuse for why some women actually think for themselves and don't automatically support someone just because they're also a woman. Don't believe in treating sex like it's shaking hands? Internalized misogyny! Believe in putting the person you love before a career? Internalized misogyny!
