A couple of clarifications:
He is not reading chat with his eyes at 4:07. He received a text-to-speech message and was responding to that.
The 1-up at 12:48 is actually not determined by RNG! This is something I actually did not know at the time. It will always try to run away from Mario depending on his position relative to it (Thanks to Xein64 for the clarification). However, with the way this person was running around with no setup, it might as well have been RNG if he really was blindfolded.

  • IMPORTANT EDIT: As this video continues to gain traction I want to reiterate that at no point should anybody attempt to seek out and harass this person over the contents of this video. The point of this video was to examine an interesting case study of a recent cheating incident, something that doesn't happen too often in SM64 these days. The purpose was NEVER to attack this person's character and it especially was never to give him any undeserved attention. I am still removing comments of people posting links to his streams and I will continue to do that. 95% of you guys have been great about this though and I thank you all so much for that. Subtitles have now been added. Thank you guys all so much for all the views and nice comments! I'm genuinely blown away by the amount of exposure and feedback the video has gotten. More videos to come in the future! In the meantime catch me doing some runs of my own over on Twitch: twitch.tv/charliebrown64

    • You should do a "catching cheats" type video series, similar to that of max boxe's tf2 series and many cs:go overwatch series, show us a speed running clip, have viewers guess if they cheated or not then reveal the answer and give the evidence as to why or why not.
