Thanks for this video! What a product!
Im super happy with my 49" Neo G9, Im doing mostly productivity work, sometimes gaming. Lets just say it would be very hard to get used to anything else, its that good. I will upgrade to 57" Neo in a year or two when I update my computer.
Productivity is not what this is for buddy
@@moseswarshana9588not sure why you are of that opinion, and "buddy"?, I could not go back to using multiple monitors for my productivity work.
@@viktorsundberg3101 I mean you might as well buy a 4K oled that’s like 65” at that price since you’re not gonna be gaming on it, even those tvs are good for gaming so you could probably go with a cheaper one too
@@moseswarshana9588 I bought this monitor just for my office at work. Just being able to fill my entire view with my programming IDE, with multiple tabs of code, terminal, serial monitor, file tree, etc on my screen simultaneously gets me in that sweet state of flow.
@@viktorsundberg3101 when i sent back my G9 for repair, I took out my sad 24inch monitor and I was like the "Tiny piece of paper Meme"
I am so very tempted to buy this monitor. My only fear is reflecting how many years this monitor can go before something in the electronics fries. I see Samsung Care+ will cost $249.99 for a four year plan...
I've got this monitor and I am extremely pleased with it so far. I'm just waiting for a monitor arm that is capable of holding this beast.
does the games look washed out and stretched playing games and are u running the 4090 on it?
is it possible to scale to 4k for the sake of FPS?
@@criptocolorlightstech5292 I'm using a 3080 and get 60 fps on most games at high graphics. For some games that are less optimized I scale the resolution down and the performance jumps up to 100+ fps. Games look great, resolution stretch is game dependant. I've tried Prey, Cyber Punk 2077, and Baldur's Gate 3. All looks stunning.
@@Leozyoo Yes :)
@@OckhamssRazorthinking of getting one. What do games like God of War or Spiderman look like on it. I feel like it would be primarily great for racing games but cut out the top and bottom of other regular games.
Big monitor! What graphics card were you using for this monitor review?
Samsung G9's are very cool when the don't break, mine burned after few hours of use also happened few weeks earlier with the 49'' oled, real serious quality and reliability issues !!!
Did u rma it?
@@merkedgg6322 i requested a refund.
Monitor looks class. But where are your prints on the wall from haha. Love them
Love the vid.. what kind of keyboard is that
As an owner of a Neo G9, I was “in love” with it for the first 4 months. But gaming is a hassle with how finicky support for 32:9 can be. For productivity, especially for video editing, I enjoy it, but I still found myself looking back at my traditional 16:9 32”. The actual height of the monitor with how wide was aggravating. This 57” is what I wish I had, the extra height is exactly what I would want over my neo g9
I agree and I still find myself with the lastest Games not unable to produce full resolution {FULL Screen} - love the size but still a hasssle "here and there" Owner of: G9 49" 240hz
I still have my SAMSUNG 49” Odyssey CRG from the first year since 2019 thing has been a beast since then, no problems what so ever. Rarely game on it now but could never go back to a traditional monitor, I would like to see the depth of the 57" as that's intriguing to me. I use PowerToys - Fancy Zones to delegate screens in productivity as its been amazing. I would say height in size of the screen i would have to agree with and having only 13 1/8 in height feels a bit small for the height now. I would say a comfortable 16-1/2" solid would appeal more to the 57" to give a few extra sizes to fonts and maybe have a top or bottom screen section for tools or graphs.
I used to hate on my ultrawide choice when I first got my Mi Gaming 34", but after a few months I learned and got used to playing in a window. This is of course not a oslution to 32:9 in games, but that can do.
What games specifically did you have issues with? Because I have had a 32:9 for many years now and can honestly remember only a handful of games I couldnt play with 32:9.
It's not that they can't handle the aspect ratio, it's that in all 3d games the edges of the monitor stretch the image. Lowering the fov helps but still doesn't get rid of it completely. This is why I went back to 21:9 and just up the fov, no issues.@@igrvks
I have two of these monitors in vertical mode in my seutp. Helps my productivitiy.
Great work Loved the video...
3 years from now we will be unveiling the new Odyssey G9 X monitor with 85 inches and 16k, 8k vertical resolution - its a work in progress
SAMSUNG 360 lol Ultra WIDE Circle Monitor
You hope you know that monitor in the video is not 8k, and 32:9 8k vertical is not 16k.

Did you consider trying a USB C - DP connection?
I don't think that the majority of the public that buys this monitor, will play that kind of games.... I see it more oriented to driving games or even strategy games or city-builders.
You had us in the first half ngl 😂
I use it for any game
I’ve got a 49 doing 5120x1440, for productivity they’re awesome, but I play CoD on it all the time, it’s really immersive
I recently bought this. There was a loud popping sound, and my screen cracked down the middle. Samsung support is terrible; They closed my ticket three times. I would not support getting this model until they fix it
@@andyastrandwhat are your computer specs and fps. I'm interested in getting the g9 49inch now that it's down to $1300. I play some story games but 85% of the time COD is my go to. Thanks in advance!!
I Have the 49 inch version but I split it as 2x1440p using 2 cables. I got it on deal for just over 1000 euro and sold my old 1440p's for 300 so not so bad.
Awesome video man! "big monitor"
Can I ask what is the depth of your desk? It seems you have plenty space with the stand
I have a 58 inch tv and a 65 inch. 58 up close would be too much for my eyes, so I can imagine how much screen that is so close man
I've got the 57" G9 😎👍 All lit up in RGB 🌈 lol
had mine for 1 week and it changed my life coming from the previous neo g9 49
if this electronic material change your life then you must have had a very depressing life
Question. I'm thinking of grabbing this. Am I able to set it up so that it is two different screens from the same PC? So one side is screen one and the other screen 2?
@andrewkruzienski770 Yes, you can do that
@@andrewkruzienski770 Yes you can, you connect two input cables and it acts like 2 separate monitors, but it limits your refresh rate to 120hz (or 60hz), you're better off using borderless window mode on your games
@@jstMir Can I turn the middle screen into one 1440P monitor at 240? Just wondering if I can get rid of all my other monitors or would need to keep one.
If you have two devices - e.g. a work PC and a gaming PC - you said you could have both as an input - can you flip it with a button so that one becomes your only device filling the screen?
Could you please mention the model of the keyboard on your table? Monitor is super cool.
I'd like to know too. It's a clean looking setup
How does it compare to the Apple studio monitors from a color accuracy perspective? Been considering upgrading my G9 and that’s been my main concern.
👀
How do yall get Mac y’all’s MacBooks to connect to these Samsung monitors without static lines….these monitors are amazing but I love my g9 just wish it worked better with my MacBook Pro
How do I connect it to my Mac ultra to get the best possible resolution?
I got the Gen 2 Ark and its not very good for Multi View and productivity does this monitor seem better, if you do 2 screens side by side. does the resolution go to Crap like the Gen 2 Ark?
Does it come with a remote? I have a Samsung 49 inch ultrawide right now and the button after a few years is worn out and it takes several attempts to turn on the PBP because the single joy stick type button is just not built to last.
would this work with say plugging a ps4 or 5 into one input and then using the rest of the screens for your computer...at the same tiem?
gotta show it next to the 49" for reference..
wonder what monitor arm would can support it
Big Monitor!!!
where can i get the display background?
Man can’t wait to get this thinking of using for flying simulators/while using it to play gta 6 that will be coming out in 2024
I guess the question would be if you’re a competitive PC player and you like to stream on KZhead at the same time would you just stick with dual monitors or would this be a good replacement? While maintaining 240hz?? And streaming???
Do you known if this monitor has an arc hdmi? I assume it doesnt. I cant get it to work with my sound bar.
Can I use this as just a normal desktop monitor?
I was hoping this samsung odyssey 57 inch gaming monitor was going to be 2,000 nits like the 32 inch samsung odyssey neo g8 with its 2,000 nits mini led 4k display. I'm glad that samsung uses mini led since I don't want oled burn in issues that oled is known for. Every device that I use with an oled display already have burn in issues and the displays have gotten dimmer over time due to the burn in issues. The oled displays that I use, the display is not as bright compared to the first one time I bought the devices with the oled displays. All the white colors on the oled displays have even turned yellowish.
skill issue
I have the G 9 49 inch, my main issue is that in gaming ie Microsoft flight simm it stretches out the sides, it’s that I don’t like.
i have a crg 9 that was delivered less than a month when released here in the US. No problems. It is wide huge and honestly its ok BUT after a yr, had to go back to a 32" monitor. the screen is just too big and i can just imagine this one. BIG isnt always good🤨
You need to show how to change the aspect ratio on this bad boy, so you can play games at higher FPS, less demanding with black bars.
I’m not into games. I’m a professional software developer and I have been looking for a perfect monitor for mostly text displaying for coding. So far I’m not satisfied with anything yet. Reason: - I have tried the 55 ARK. But for text, resolution of 4K for a 55 is really low. I wish they make something like 6K or 8K. Currently I have to stack two 49 inch to make a 55 inch one with about 6K resolution. I just hate the void in the middle. But still better than a 55 4K. - I also have 2x 32 4K side by side for another computer. Working ok so far. This 57 in seems to be able to replace my dual 32 setup to have a seamless view in the middle. However, because the curvature of this monitor as well as the 55ARK is not uniform: too curved in the middle but straightened out near the edges. So you will feel as though the edges have opposite curvature (curved outward instead of inward). So it feels very weird. Another issue I have with this is the height is not enough. I feel like the height of a 16:9 42 inch would be best. I wish they make something 1) this wide 2) has the height of a 16:9 42 in 3) has uniform curvature throughout 4) has 6K-8K resolution Then I would pay to buy it immediately
What desk-clamped arm mount will work with this beast? It’s so heavy the ones I’ve seen let it droop (top forward, bottom back) rather than hold it square to the plane of the desk.
Ergotron HX. Its not cheap, but it works flawlessly.
@@freeubi The standard HX pivot is too weak for this monitor. Needs an upgrade, but I have no idea when Ergotron will make one available.
can this be wall mounted ? has VESA?
Maybe next year they will bring the 57" OLED monitor, like they have been doing from the Neo to this.
I just want one this size at 5120x1440. Dual 4k is just WAY too hard to run and I have a 4090
Im the other way.. I refuse to buy Oled because i use my monitor for work. 8hrs a day of static Excel sheets and other applications just doesnt sound reasonable to me. I also use mine for gaming when i got time so.. Mini LED is the perfect tech since its the closest to OLED in picture quality. Im willing to pay 1500 for this one not more. That means ill have to wait a little bit.
What desktop is that? Where can I get it?
Is this better than oled?
No gsync?
Looks interesting, but imo just too narrow for games. I would've taken off 2 inches from the length for an extra inch of height. Maybe even 2 inches. Id probably just get 2 monitors with very slim bezels to have a better height. And also for a fraction of the price.
The first thing I noticed is it needs an arm. That stand takes up too much room and divides the desk.
I have a 43 inch 4k 144hz monitor, it’s good enough to be honest. Can’t go any bigger or smaller.
how long tell they have 100" monitors?....
This thing will be in my room if it's oled.
Ita 1ms? Or 0.1ms? I'm confused with those numbers
How about that Royal Oak.
Can the MBP M1 or M2 handle the full resolution? I‘ve read that it only can handle 5120x1440 on this monitor.
The M2/3 pro/max will be able to run this at native res. But then you are kinda stuck to using either 1x or 2x scaling (1x is too small, 2x is a bit too big). Something like 1440p scaling won’t work as HiDPI because of limitations of the chip
Does this monitor have picture burn in issues? ... I play Eve Online a lot and just worried that the HUD might burn into the screen over time.
this one has mini led panel for avoiding burn in issues. you can go with it safely.
There has been reports of the 49” breaking/cracking in the middle of the screen. This 57” is even heavier and I’m sure there’s also going to be a lot of strain in the centre supporting both ends spreading so wide out
Possibly the engineers were aware and built this one better. Time will tell.
There have also been many reports of the 49 and some 57s making crackling noises. The screen is clearly under stress at that curve and temp changes cause the noises.
I have my g9 for more than 6 years and still holding up
i've had mines 49" for 2 years and no issues, I order the 57". I like using ultra wide over triples
@@username0l0l0l0 My LG makes exactly the same noise... and it's a 29" flat screen. Don't worry about this noise.
They missed adding USB-C / Thunderbolt and KVM for it so we can plug our Macbook Pro's / Mac Minis to it and enjoy it for work while in MacOS world. :(
If it only would be more wall mount friendly
34 ultrawide is the sweet spot for gaming bois.

Ain’t no way I could drop 2500 on a monitor and not have usb-c/thunderbolt connectivity. That’s a dealbreaker in my book
Truth! 😂
True! For that much money you should get A remote, In built-Speaker. which the G9 Oled has how could they charge so much for 2 4k screens. but it will drop to 2k soon give it a couple of months
what do you need usb c so bad for ?
power delivery, 1 cable only, daisy chaining ect... @@ployth9000

"the one drawback of the OLEd is gaming" is where I stopped the video. :D
I'm sure there are numerous people that will tell you this but this monitor is not 8K, 8K is 4Kx4, this is 4Kx2.
Simulator games will be the best for this

is it the same height as the 49" monitor?
57" Odyssey Neo G9 is like two 4k 32" monitors side by side. 49" Odyssey G9 is like two 4k 27" monitors side by side.
Certifiably insane lol
A refurbished 65" LG C2 at Microcenter right now is $1,100 and it's half the cost of this monitor lol
8k tho?
I wanna buy I have a 4090 from what I heard it can’t hit the 240 frames so it’s putting me off
That clean, minimalist room has me lost for words lol. It looks so good. Jesus loves you : )
These 32:9 monitors are too wide man. I prefer the extra height, 5k/2k is perfect.
This is just as tall as a 16:9 32” monitor. You won’t find a taller monitor unless you use a 42”+ tv.
Untrue, I have the 45" LG 240hz OLED monitor. It is about the size of a 48" tv if you ran ultrawide res.@@BoomerPlusUltra
is this really 8k or 4k on 2 32 inch made into 1 monitor?
Its a 4K display(2160P) obviously very wide about the same as 2xstandard 2160P 16:9 displays side by side.
The ultimate monitor... for the ultimate price?
awesome monitor, but way to expensive. With that price you can build a beast of a pc.
Can’t even fully use the 240hz since the 4090 does not support it with this monitor. Sad day
Is it true that this is in reality a 120hz monitor not 240hz. Using a 4090 Asus oc edition?
Yes. I don't know if they've fixed it somehow idk. AMD gpu can unlock 240hz. Jesus loves you : )
I guess it's 144hz if using hdmi 2.1@@LilShepherdBoy
so when are we going to have a GPU that can essentially run 8k at 240hz. has anyone brought up this issue????? 4090 can has just gotten to the level to run the 49in at mid to high performance depending on what game your playing. I would not buy this monitor right now. you could wait 2 gens of gpus before you would get the necessary horsepower to use this monitor to its specs. could have gone with a bigger version of the 1440p model with oled so you wouldn't see the larger pixels. at least then consumers would be able to use it with tech that's out now instead of buying tech that's going to hibernate for years to come
big monitor 👁️👄👁️
Lest be honest, we can't use it for web development, right?
Why not? Looks great for software development.
I only buy ultra wide… and razors with 6 blades on them
Don't underestimate the power of 1... and that 1 is the Van Der Hagen Safety Razor - 1 blade gives a superior shave, AND double edged razor packs are 50ct for 10 bucks.
Logik Fehler kein 8k monitor sondern 6k aus dual 4k werden 6k reandering. 😊
I bought this to replace my LG 48" Ultragear OLED. I wanted to see if the 32:9 at 57" would be better on my Sim racing rig. Sadly when I turn on Local dimming I get to big dark blotches on the screen. Amazon has another unit in route to me. This HAS to be a defect. Far as image quality...just like the G9 49" I sent back last year... I have been really let down. It really is nothing special. Maybe it's going to this from OLED but i was under impression mini LED was really close to OLED. Atleast for this monitor...that's not the case. I am not impressed. Great in depth review though here! Thanks for the time and info on it.

Fyi, 2x4K is 6K not 8K
first off it is not a 8k it is dual 4k it can act as 2 intendent 4 k monitors but it is 1 ultra wide 4k display get your info correct
No USB-C for a $2500 monitor is based! I wouldn't pay $500 for monitor without usb-c.
picture great , software buggy as hell ,had g8 oled as well thats the same , samsung never bring any update fixes for there stuff , really annoying at this price point ............
The gaming on ultra wide monitors look very bad with all that stretching on the sides. The games have to support panoramic projection for ultra wide monitors. So, it means that if you have a circle on screen around side of screen it will look like a circle instead of ellipsoid. I use Asus XG438 43'' 4k monitor myself. This is good aspect ratio and size for monitor. The only problem is that it is not curved, so it is a bit hard to read text on sides of the screen.
I bought mine to play solitaire.
I have 3x32, so much more space for way less money
OH MY GOODNESS! What a lovely beast. Checked Amazon $ 2500. 1000r curve, 240 hz refresh, 1ms with million to one contrast. I had to have this. While my wife was in the living room and I in my computer room. I ask my wife if bigger was better? She said of course honey. I then asked her if I could make it bigger would she be good with that? Laughing she said "Hell Yes"! So I ordered it from Amazon. There is no doubt this monitor is from the gods. I have been ripping an AOC 34" Ultrawide and love it. I expect this 57" baby will make me moan with joy! When it gets here I will simple remind the wife that she said bigger was always better.
Somehow I don't think this is what your wife had in mind. LOL!!!!!!
