      @mr.noaudio94@mr.noaudio942 жыл бұрын
    • @@mr.noaudio94 I agree, I believe Frank had the idea of leaving Allen behind with a fake plan telling him that they will go to Angel Island, which I believe they didnt. I believe they went straight to Shore instead, and apart of leaving Allen behind was because they saw him as a risk. Allen was brutal compared to them, he was more violent and they didnt like that. So they either left him behind with a fake plan, OR, Allen took the fall on purpose as he didnt have much time left to serve anyways, and gave the authorities the fake plan, with them believing it was true. Could be a simple mistake too that he couldnt escape with them, but I doubt it since he came up with the idea.

  • Fun Fact: In the funeral of the mother of the brothers that escaped, 2 tall manly looking ''women'' were present. Birthday postcards were sent in the birthday anniversaries of their mother as long as she lived and the biggest clue of all suggesting they made it out alive, there was a car theft reported a few hours after they escaped and the description was fitting the escapees.

    @IAmMyself3504@IAmMyself35043 жыл бұрын
    • There's actually a picture of them against a tree that was taken 5 years after their escape. They moved to a small village and the picture was proven to be true because in the picture there was a picture of a hwy in the background and so someone looked up when the hwy was built and it was new as there wasn't a road there before. So the picture was confirmed as true that they survived

      @missyette@missyette2 жыл бұрын
    • Yeah they did say that after the escape the FBI or authories anywhere in California never had any reports of robberies near the areas, however, they likely meant this into effect ACTWR they were done their original search for the escapees. Meaning if it was only a few hours into the break of dawn that they escaped, the people would still be looking for them. Meaning this theft was likely them because this was before the FBI was done searching the ocean. This was the only theft they committed and it was before it was set into effect. This was definitely the escapees

  • From the Wikipedia about the escape, "Clarence and John were reportedly inseparable as youngsters; they became skilled swimmers, and amazed their siblings by swimming in the frigid waters of Lake Michigan as ice still floated on its surface." There was also another escape afterwards of an inmate that managed to swim to the shore of the mainland but was caught immediately after. Tbh there's a good chance that the men were able to escape, and good for them imo.

    • Yeah, in the video its stated that there was no evidence of thefts in the immediate area following the mens escape, but in fact a 1955 blue Chevrolet (California license plate KPB076) was reported stolen in Marin County the same day-a claim corroborated by contemporaneous stories in the Humboldt Times and the San Francisco Examiner. The following day, a motorist in Stockton, California, 80 miles (130 km) east of San Francisco, reported to the California Highway Patrol that he had been forced off the road by three men in a blue Chevrolet. The man who reported this could not have known about the escape yet, and yet his descriptions were accurate.

    • in my head it makes more sense if the prison has very strict rules tbh, bc if u were to commit a crime and land in a prison were u feel like u are on vacation, u wouldnt regret the crime as much and would maybe commit another crime bc the prison is not that bad. whereas in a "strict prison" i think u would think twice before comitting the crime bc u are scared of living in such circumstances, if that makes sense (there would probably be more prisoners trying to escape ig but thats another story)

    • @@neymarjr-xs1lu I mean, that's one way of looking at it. Personally, I'd only get angrier if I spent so long in a strict prison. Plus, since I wouldn't be given anything to work out the root causes that led me to crime, I'd just start criming back once I got released 'cause which job would take me in? I think there should be a balance between these ideas. Your life isn't heavenly, but you don't feel downright miserable.

The only thing they didn’t do was inflate the raft with a modified musical instrument (because how it got inflated really didn’t matter). They also launched in identical weather conditions and temperatures, and successfully made it to the mainland. They showed that it wasn’t just feasible, but likely that the inmates survived.

    • That could be possible But how would he have died? Surely if Morris was drowning/floating away/ having a hard time, the brothers would have helped him right? They don't seem like terrible people Although, maybe Morris told them to keep going on without him, like West did Hmm

    • Its certainly possible, but it's worth noting that San Francisco County Coroner Henry Turkel cast doubt on speculation that it could have been one of the escapees, emphasising the improbability that a body would still be floating on the surface of the ocean after more than a month; instead, Turkel proposed that the corpse may have been that of Cecil Phillip Herrman, a 34-year-old unemployed baker who had jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge five days earlier. Some additional fun facts include: - in the video its stated that there was no evidence of thefts in the immediate area following the mens escape, but in fact a 1955 blue Chevrolet (California license plate KPB076) was reported stolen in Marin County the same day-a claim corroborated by contemporaneous stories in the Humboldt Times and the San Francisco Examiner. -Brizzi (the Anglin family friend who claimed he was in contact with the brothers and had a picture of them that a number of experts deemed authentic) also presented an alternative escape theory: Rather than use the raft to cross the bay, he said, they paddled around the island to the boat dock, where they attached an electrical cord-which was reported missing from the dock on the night of the escape-to the rudder of a prison ferry that departed the island shortly after midnight, and were towed behind it to the mainland.

  • “MythBusters” proved that it was possible that the escapees got out. “Expedition Unknown” revealed that the photograph of the two men beside a termite mound could be the Anglin brothers via facial recognition analysis. • Here are some things I want to point out. 1. I think they tested the raft in that work shop for leaks and to see if it would hold all 4 guys without losing air. 2. There’s a good possibility those guys trained their selves to physically help withstand that water as a back up plan. They could’ve taken ice baths or something equivalent to help them get used to that cold water and I’m sure they worked out a lot to keep in shape while also staying small enough to fit through the duct work. 3. I think the maintenance guy was in on it considering they probably wouldn’t have found that workshop and a lot of the tools without him. 4. The chances of them surviving in the U.S without being caught is very slim so I do think they fled to another country. 5. They could’ve been using those bags to keep the water out of the raft from the harsh waters and that’s how they lost that sealed bag filled with letters.
